It was great meeting you and from the trips you're making, it sounds like y'all are doing some pretty awesome stuff. Thanks for the support and keep the adventure going! Let is know if you want to come deck hand one day!
Great real-life reporting. The cracked valve appears to be a classic freeze/expansion event. Worth noting in the ships log. Love to see more reports.......bear
What you removed around the water inlet is Butyl tape. Its a sealant that never fully cures and is why its a great sealant on a house boat (lot of flexing and movement). Not sure what flexseal is made of but if it is a silicone based product remove it and replace with either butyl tape or a polyurethane sealant like 3M 4200. Silicone will not seal for a long time on gelcoat and you will have future leaks and then wood rot. It also leaches into the gelcoat and prevents future sealants from working (even silicone). Best to never use silicone sealants on a boat.
Bradley I have to say in respect to you I think you are just what a husband is supposed to be right now jack of all trades master of none just like me but I know y'all have what it takes to make it for sure.
Yes! Lots more to come! Gues we’ve been on Vacation to long 😉. Getting organized and expect to have some out soon. Thank for nudge and following along.
@@ImonVacation I'm searching for a boat now, in La Crosse. I have lived on a boat a number of times since I was 17, counting the USS Chicago, LOL. I am 75 now and I know a little bit about life changes. ;o) One hint, you can never stop the journey or the other end of life catches up.
What a great idea!!! Doing this is now on my bucket list!! Thank you and God Bless!
Glad we're able to inspire you. It changed our lives and I'm certain you won't be disappointed.

Thank you! Don't worry, there's plenty more throughout the series.
It's all about making what someone made work into what should be done right.

This is great information. Thank you for sharing. We definitely have a lot of sealing to do, so I'll be sure to use the products you mention. Thanks!
Yes you are right
Mine doesn’t have a valve there. Not a bad idea though if there is a leak. Faster than running outside to shut it off.
It was a pain to get to, but did have some advantages as you mentioned.

Thanks!

I’d like to watch your adventures, but the music is annoying.
LOL! Then this series isn't for you. Thanks for the effort though.
😊 I suspect that the reply came from the first mate! It was a legitimate critique and she overreacts and suggests you leave the channel.
