No cheering, cell phones, and no one talking....just pure awe and appreciation of a fabulous singer and appreciation of art. Im sure a few cried, this gets me , and i would have bawled there in person
I forget sometimes just how incredible the songs on American Life are… Xstatic Process, Intervention, and Nothing Fails are some of the best songs she’s ever written
Her underrated songs are her best likr bad girl, oh father, this entire album is one of best and on and on. She pours her heart and sould into her music.
sometimes we focus so much on other people that we think are "special" and oh yeah we forget that we are just as "special"...so deep and profound. I just love this song.
Such beautiful vocals and a great song, full of emotion and sincerity. Thank you Madonna for inspiring me to believe in myself, be strong and face challenges head on. You had been my Ray of Light for so long. Long Live The Queen!!!
Oh gawd what a beautiful, simple and tender performance! As much as I love her dance moves and stage production, sometimes it doesn't take much for her to enthrall an audience.
Besides singing Madonna has the ability to play several musical instruments. She learned to play drum and guitar from her then-boyfriend Dan Gilroy in the late 1970s before joining the Breakfast Club line-up as the drummer.[265] This helped her to form the band Emmy, where she performed as the guitarist and lead vocalist.[265] Madonna later played guitar on her demo recordings. On the liner notes of Pre-Madonna, Stephen Bray wrote: "I've always thought she passed up a brilliant career as a rhythm guitarist."[292] After her career breakthrough, Madonna focused mainly in singing but was also credited for playing cowbell on Madonna (1983) and synthesizer on Like a Prayer (1989).[264] In 1999, Madonna had studied for three months to play the violin for the role as a violin teacher in the film Music of the Heart, before eventually leaving the project.[293] After two decades, Madonna decided to perform with guitar again during the promotion of Music (2000). She took further lessons from guitarist Monte Pittman to improve her guitar skill.[294] Since then Madonna has played guitar on every tour, as well as her studio albums.[264] At the 2002 Orville H. Gibson Guitar Awards, she received nomination for Les Paul Horizon Award, which honors the most promising up-and-coming guitarist.[295]
Dear amourdeparis, I agree. Her voice is so underrated. I think because she doesn't rely on having a big X-factor voice she serves the music rather than her ego. So you get emotion and tenderness, fragility and intensity. Madonna has soul.
You got that right. Her contemporary big voiced women singers who are always lauded for their technical ability have completely rested on their laurels and have time and time again failed to make records that mattered. Madonna's music, on the other hand, radiates with personality and heart. And it's her voice and it's lilting boynancy that makes it the perfect vehicle of expression of her point of view and transgressive public persona. Her ballads are far more memorable and moving than those of "real" singers such as Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, blah, blah, blah.
Again, I'm Crying in Madonna's Presence of Sadness. It took courage for Madge to be a brilliant guitar virtuoso and She Tried. Thank you Madonna for Your Bravery and Courage. Your mother would be Proud of you right now!

I'd say that was a pretty dead crowd.
Trust me, they weren't a dead crowd. That same show she performed LAP, American Life, and Hollywood, and the crowd was excited and cheering.
@@myselfandi2097 this song is emotional so they are respecting it lol
They’re in awe respectful ❤️
I forget sometimes just how incredible the songs on American Life are… Xstatic Process, Intervention, and Nothing Fails are some of the best songs she’s ever written

THAT I WAS JUST AS GOOD, AS YOU.
