15 year mechanic in California and I have a company who I service and I'm impressed with the 2.4L model. The company had 5 and the ones that made it threw the drivers crashing them have 300,000 miles on them no major issues. Basic repairs like brakes, alternator, battery and hoses ect. In my experience seems like a very well built engine setup. I prefer the 200 over and 300 model

Love this review. In 2023 i just bought a 2014 with the same 2.4 and trim level. Love the car and agree with everything you said especially the ac! Haha so cold. Cool to see its lasted till 2023 only has 190000 kms on it though and kept in good condition. Gona last me a while
Still have my father's Chrysler 200 Touring from 2013 and still doing great today! We also bought it used and the only problems we've had so far was a squeaking sound in the engine (assuming a belt or something) and a loud ticking sound from the AC when you switch temps from hot to cold, vice versa. Both were resolved by my father and fixed it by hand. At the moment I think it's about a little bit over 130,000 miles. I also agree how it was a bummer that it doesn't have bluetooth when other cars at the time had some. My father bought something online that acts as a bluetooth but has to be plugged in into the aux and the charging port; made it very easy so you won't have to plug your phone in anymore and just connect to the gadget's bluetooth.
I have a 2011 Touring addition with 33,000 miles which I've owned since 2012. No problems, great car with no issues and by the way the gas tank filler door does not stick out and never has, I guess I am lucky. The car is black and sets outside all year round covered with waterproof covering when needed. I took the back seats out and removed the under sun deck shroud which allows for lots of room for my fishing gear and camping toys. I will not be trading this in anytime soon, if at all.
Battery replacement is a pain in the butt or left head light bulb replacement. Battery is located in fender well and the battery is directly behind the head light bulb. You have to remove inner fender well to access the battery.
I really want a Chrysler 300 but if I could find a 200 model at an affordable price regardless of the year it was made, I think I might go with the 200.
Found one with 110k miles for 4500. Going to grab it still available what are common issues...I keep my cars up to date high mileage or synthetic blend oil change I gave 08 Grand Prix runs great with 168000
I’d imagine the only issues might be transmission problems at that age. We put nearly 80,000 trouble free miles on it before we traded in on the Sonic.
I have a 2012 Chrysler 200 and I have nothing but problems with check engine lights keep coming on and I have replaced a crap tone of shit on it in my opinion it’s a crap car I have a problem with my car swaying side to side when hitting bumps and dealer can’t seem to figure out why it’s doing that always problems with sensors and other things
The v6 is more reliable than the 4 cylinder because it’s a dodge engine I have 85k miles on mine I have to replace a my calipers on the back and I replaced my suspension coil and I hear some noise in the back which is probably some more maintenance items it’s not the best car 2011 200
Mine too! 2012 with 160k. Been a massive money pit..my car also sways.. Heater cores get plugged.. Thermostat housing needed replaced. Blower motor for heater took a crap. Starter went out and sway bars needed changed. I can't wait to trade mine off.. Good luck with yours

Made a guy with a Mercedes jealous after more attention was payed to my 2014 LX. Goes like snot until you hit that lag to second gear. That being my only disappointment so far.
Get a aftermarket head unit radio from one of the big 3 brands either Pioneer, Kenwood, or Alpline. If you get a touch screen model, you might wanna look into navigation comes really handy at times.
I have the same car and it has been nothing but problem. All new hubs, suspension bushing, one piston was smashing into the head , have a current draw that the dealer can't find. Garbage Bluetooth, all the power windows are slower then a crank now. Tbe check engine light comes on so much i bought my own code reader. Only positives was the power in the v6 and the sound system

I have a 2017 Chrysler 200 LX 2.4 L, bought with 7 miles on it, now has 43,000 miles. All maintenance done regularly not one issue at all. Honestly it was the 15's they were horrendous and the 16's got better the 17's are alot better I waited until it was out for about two years and I got seven grand off for it being discontinued. Comfortable highway cruiser and wanted to point out the styling of this second generation I love, I constantly have people gawk and look at it, most times they confuse it with an Audi, especially at night. I smilw everytime I get behing the wheel too
Don't ever buy this car! You are a smart to get rid of it ASAP! The battery will drain overnight. i have this car & I just bought 2 batteries & a good alternator & the battery drains out very night! No mechanic can figure out what's wrong. I have to get a boost everyday! This car will ruin your life & drain your pockets! DO NOT BUY THIS CAR, EVER!!!!!!!!!!!

If it where honda or Toyota 300,000 is fine but not chrysler if your going to buy a chrysler get one with low miles i have a 2012 chrysler 200 had 84k when i got it now im right at 100k and my tranny gave out not to mention last month o had to have a few repairs needless to say dont get a chrysler if its not really low miles or new

I dont care for chrysler but this 2.4L was done right. The block has piston sleeves made of iron. You really have to abuse it to make it quit.

I got 2012 limited trim with 3.6 pentastar around 100K now and I’m very happy.

Sadly but there is a thingie you can hook up to the USB and to the aux and you can stream bluetooth for 17 bucks
Actually it does. I have blue tooth on my car. I don't have Sirius xm but my phone has the app. Problem solved love it.

300,000 is way to much to consider buying any used car. Go for a car 80,000 or under.
