@@Nathan-hs2ut Yeah, I know, but Thoughts are usually a bit more structured and aim to just explain a concept, make a point, go over the history of a team, etc. In these podcasts though, man is unleashed. It's to the point I tune out when other people speak, even if I have nothing against them and think are cool too.
what did device do to not qualify (besides playing poorly)? how about tweeting in the middle of the tournament that he'd basically given up already? how do you think the team reacted to that? did that motivate the rest of them to perform?
You can also say, what made device (one of the most professional players in the scene) to tweet something like that in the first place? Not arguing against your point but think about it from device's perspective also.
Change share of stickers income to correlate to placing at major (hjigher place -> higher share) it would fix problem of RMR being more important that major itselt.
Honestly, my mind is blown that Astralis didnt even make it to the major... Dev1ce, Stavn, Jabbi, BlameF and they can't even win against Tier 2+ teams...
Yeah, it really felt like the lineup showed their potential at BLAST when they defeated Vitality. Ever since then, it's just been disaster. Horrid showings at the Katowice Play-In and RMR. And it's not even like they are putting up a fight in a lot of the losses. Most of them are completely lopsided and are sometimes only close(ex: the 13-11 loss to Spirit) due to them winning both pistols with MR12/economy as the panel mentioned as a flaw to the current game. Even just based on name-value alone though, they should've still qualified despite leadership/role issues, but it kind of seems like they choked cause of the amount of pressure they put on themselves to qualify. There were so many instances at the RMR where device is just whiffing or the other guys are just losing duels.
This POV demo “extra info glitch” (aka POV demos being recorded by players during scrims having FULL GOTV demo data) is honestly game breaking. It’s terrible. There is a reason why professional sports have closed door practice. I’m 100% on board with Maui’s view - this is going to absolutely ruin the scene and more importantly the viewing experience. Part of the fun of majors is seeing these new gadget plays teams make and test in the lab and then see how they work in a real official (crazy round win or fails miserably- both valid and fun for viewer!)
On this note - how many teams knew this before today? Could some of these recent under performance or over performances by teams be due to teams knowing / not knowing this information???
I think that device should’ve tried to go to an international team after he left NIP. I think that returning to the danish scene means either you are on heroic(cadian was on there) or Astralis. Both of which were bad choices IMO. For astralis, I don’t think blameF and stavn can work on the same team, both players take space, which also makes it worse for device. Jabbi is good but too inconsistent right now. Oh and also they also have really bad IGL. Maybe he should’ve tried to negotiate with Faze(they were falling off at that time).
Are we really phrasing it like Rejin just got caught in a bug and failed to report it, rather than him admitting to deliberately using it over the course of at least four maps, three of which caused the org Pro100 to be eliminated from tournaments and subsequently disband? I'm all for redemption, but we can't just phrase it as "He got caught in that bug thing".
46:24 I disagree with this being bad... In any sport and a lot of eSports you can see everything. In order to hide that you don't practice with other teams. I am not saying it is good, it just is... in basketball LeBron has to practice against Taurean Prince and he still can adapt to an actual good player when it's a real game. I don't like the scrimms mentality and this secrecy thing... This take from Renji could be used for any sort of POV shots when a new smoke is found, or a new moly, or whatever, because when people see it, they will learn the perfect pixel.
It was so fucking obvious that cadiaN made stavn the player he was at heroic, stavn is a shoelace looker, insecure no confidence, cadiaN gave him a huge confidence boost, no chance he plays as well as he did with cadiaN, especially with insecure Tarzan(blameF) that plays like Jane.
nr.1 weapon skin top 2 operator skin top 4 grenade skin etc etc the tools are there to put a tier system for financial gain RS6 alrdy did this the blueprint is right there so if u win u stand to gain crazy amount u might not even need to have a winners prize at dat rate
Crazy how y’all talked about the rmr being more important than the major but never brought up the fact that in 2025 we won’t need it anymore. The death of partner teams means we can just use the valve standings from all the tournaments to qualify
100% agree about Heroic idky i could never see what some people saw nicoodoz is not very good at all id rather zorte in heroic. Im just so sick of hearing these players deserve another 6 months like NO they were shit on their last team and shit now. Plus he baits the best players
3 win Swiss is bad imo. Every team should play every team once . You can get lucky and have easier matchups than other teams. Top half via record qual. Then to avoid bottom teams not trying once they’re 0-whatever, you seed them Into a last chance bracket and only have 1-2 teams qualify from that.
16 team round robin is way too much. The first thing they need to do is to get rid of these bo1s.. especially with the game being mr12 now. it's ridiculous. The seedings are also bad. It's an overall shitshow every time which is very unfortunate.
Sadly that would create 120 games per each EU RMR? Currently it's 33 per RMR, 13 of which are BO3s. So if you want them to be bo3s, and assuming on average 2.5 maps per BO3, it would be more than 5.7 times longer than it is right now. The EU RMR would quite literally take 2 months.
respect to falcons for not even considering NertZ, although he isnt his government. But thats what they say about palestinians, if all palestinians are human animals then all israelis can also be the same
Role clash with BlameF. You can't really blame Jabbi and Stavn if you watch the games and see the positions they're playing. Even Dev1ce doesn't have the space and resources to carry like he did with the previous roster. Someone has to step back for the roster to work.
It's Ruggah from OG not Apeks. And yes, he's committed to the team till after the Major, which ends on March 31. But in the statement they said April 1 or earlier. He might be joining earlier than the date since both OG and Astralis didn't qualify for the major. I bet he's joining mid March, after Blast Showdown since OG is playing in the tournament.
bro, he couldn't make it work with a guy who is all about set roles and smooth teamplay, says players should be more independent units, but in every team he admires smooth teamplay and that everyone knows their roles

That's not possible because share of sticker income is based on purchases of capsules.
