Still in college and been wanting to since day one! Your videos have been extremely helpful. If you haven't already mentioned this in a video I haven't seen yet, is there a mock test for the LSATs?
Philosophy is actually the ultimate major for lawyers. Everyone should take logic and ethics. Philosophy actually teaches you how to write a decent argument and how to argue rationally without falling into fallacies.
This is so comforting to hear because I’m not a straight A student and I’m a freshman in college. I’m working to improve my study methods and get my grades better. I knew I wanted to be a lawyer but I didn’t take it seriously until I realized that I’m not really giving my work my all. I’m working on it though!!! Thank you for the advice!
Hey! Just a word of encouragement; I was not a straight A student my first 2 years of undergrad, and then started freaking out when I realized I wanted to go to a good law school. Starting my junior year, I was able to turn it around and get straight A’s 3 semesters in a row, as well as a good LSAT score! I just applied last fall and was accepted into a top 10 school, so it’s definitely possible to turn it around as long as you’re willing to put in the work. Hope everything goes well for you!
@@kendalldoer5466So your gpa after high school is fixable? I’m so stressed right now because my gpa is a 2.9 or 3.0 and I’m stressed that colleges or law schools won’t take me because of it.
Good to see you again! Just came out of my finals and my last full-time college semester! I was wondering if you could make a video on things to do and resources you would recommend for 0L (college seniors that can't do much about their GPA anymore 🤣)? For example, I'm hoping to start memorizing black letter laws since I have a pretty bad memory, and it'd be nice if there's a way to do a first pass on tough courses like torts/contracts before law school, but I don't know any reliable (and free) resources for either. I'm a first-gen and I feel like I'm lacking a lot of law/law school-related common knowledge, trying to get all the head start I can to maybe stop stressing about where I end up😂 (btw your channel helped soooo much on that already❤️❤️❤️)
Yes, I am thinking about doing a video on the road to law school. It's been so long but will do some research on resources out there to help prep and will incorporate it into a video.
I’m currently in undergrad and I want to eventually go to law school, I’m just scared that things( LSAT median scores, schools getting more competitive, higher tuition, saturation…etc) would change so much before 2027 lol…I get a bit discouraged when I think of that. I honestly don’t know why I’m worrying so much but I’m just making sure to keep my grades very high! I’m an over thinker😅 As for the LSAT, we will meet in the future lol. When I’m focused, I can achieve anything so I could apply to Ivies but I choose freedom over the shackles of loans…10+ years?? No way! Plus I’m in Canada, it’s sensible to attend a school here.I’m hoping for your response!
Damn Queen beautiful and SMART. This is an aspiration I have always had. Had family early and did not concentrate on it. I feel I have what it takes and at 45 I might go after this path even though I know I am older now. Kids are grown now so I can see me finding time for it. God bless...
Thank you so much! I’m a junior and will join some extracurriculars ASAP. I have a job in social work and want to practice law in a related field. Can paid work be listed on applications too?
Hi Angela! Thanks for all your informational videos. I really love your content. I have been offered a non conditional full ride to a regional (unranked) school. I like the location as it is near where I want to practice. The option to go to school without debt is really appealing. However, I worry about job prospects. Any advice you can offer? I also would love to be a transactional lawyer like you. :)
What’s your end goal as far as what you want your career to look like? I think depending on what path you want to go down (big law, government, solo, non traditional, etc. really will help your decision). Big law firms recruit at the top schools but it your end goal isn’t that i think it makes it less important. Graduating with no debt would be great and if you trust your work ethic to do well at a lower tiered school you might it could be a safe bet
@@TheAspiringBoss Hi Angela! Thanks for your response. Ideally, I'd like to work in Big Law. It might make sense to attend a higher ranked school. Unfortunate that I will have to take out loans but it might be worth it due to career prospects.
@@Justice404b i set think it will increase your chances for big lane but i would look into additional scholarships and any other resources you can find to pay for school. Minimal debt could really be a game changer for your life post law school. i went to a low ranked school and still made it to big law but it certainly was not easy. Good luck with everything 💕
Okay so what if I am in that pool of people that waited until there second semester of senior year to decide law school was for them? Lol because sadly, that’s me.
Can you maybe talk about volunteering while in college? Like for example I am very passionate about advocating for immigrants and hope to practice immigration law one day but for now, I’m trying to find some things I can do to help now. So my question is do you know any colleges that practice immigration law and know of a place to volunteer or do you know? Haha sorry, loaded question...
If you are looking for oppurtunities specifically in college, you might look into what organizations you have on campus that focus/advocate for immigration rights and join/participate in that. Additionally, you should look to the community you live in. i would good "immigration volunteer opportunities near me" and plently of things should show up! Hope this helps.

Happy Sunday! Who’s planning to go to law school?
Definitely me! Currently transitioning out of active duty military so I still have a ways to go, but I am ready for the ride for sure!
