Especially in the top couple of tiers there aren't really surprises, just looking at tier 1 all of those guys are absolutely filthy. I don't want to wade into the Bauer quicksand too much, but since everyone else seems to be (lol) I'd say he's placed more or less in the right spot: he's beginning to age so he's obviously not going to be as good as he was a few seasons ago, he's as solid as you would expect a former Cy Young winner to be, and he's not particularly injury-prone. Plus he pitched in Mexico last year, and that certainly do him any favors since almost none of those hitters are even KBO or CPBL-level, much less NPB.
Wtf not a fan of yours? What could you have ever done to him lol. Tell the truth? That maybe he's not modern Nolan Ryan? Sorry you gotta deal with that bro. Bauer is a piece of work
Yep. I know about what happened. He's got issues that he still refuses to work out for himself. 0 accountability. I suspect his 2nd stint in NPB will be less celebrated as his well-manicured veneer fades.
I don't understand why you keep saying that Bauer is a bad person. I think legal proceedings have cleared him well enough to conclude that his accuser was lying, or, at least, acting in bad faith, and he deserves to be finally treated as innocent, since investigations have stopped he hasn't been sentenced for anything. Otherwise one can just accuse anyone of anything and the world labels the subject as a criminal for the rest of his days
I'll preface this by saying that I think he's innocent and that a lot of his haters are reddit/twitter losers who love getting on their high horse. That being said, he is kind of an asshole and I don't blame yakyu for not being a fan of him since their public spat a while back. Trevor does himself no favors with his antics.
Fuckin lol! A court can't clear someone of having a gaping asshole of a personality. Even doing Bauer the massive favour of ignoring his legal issues, he was in those situations because he's a dick and he isn't in MLB because everyone hates him. He was an asshole that yelled at his teammates in Japan too. He is an unpleasant person. You can lie to yourself about how much of a criminal he is but trying to argue with people about Bauer being an annoying asshole fuckup is not going to work because he shows people that is who he is all the time. We all have eyes and ears.
@@Hyperguy205 Alright I didn't know about their spat, what happened? Also, I still think that an asshole and a bad person are two separate things. Asshole is not nice but still surface-level, mostly harmless commentary, while "bad person" is a deep, consequential judgement on someone we don't truly know
Masahiro Tanaka will be something in 2025. If there's any team that can get a lot out of the older players, it's Yomiuri

And I am a SF Giants fan and hated his guts, but in a sports-rivalry sort of way
Perfect list. No notes.
I'm not sure about Hiromi Itoh. He has the stuff of being elite, but he is too inconsistent.

Even if he isn't a criminal he's still an asshole
