This is all kinds of awesome, and makes the Six year old me very excited. The 45 year old me likes it too. lol. I would go with a giant T-rex footprint shaped base for mine. Brilliant project!!!

Thanks for the video and the templates! I used them to make a wall lamp out of 4mm beech plywood with a small led bulb to be used as a nightlight: My son loves it already!
However, I am still contemplating about the finish: I do not think that the chemical aging will have the same cook effect on the very dense beech - it has very fine grain that almost doesn't show...

Hey Vinny! Great project, I actually ended up making one myself only minus the light! 😊 I have a quick question I'm wanting to make a dragon skull version, how would I go about making a pattern similar to yours? I only have little knowledge in making patterns
I have a video where I show how I make my templates and plans that you might find useful (ruclips.net/video/W1Xi8qjkRhg/видео.html). I use Adobe Illustrator but if you don't have Illustrator and want a free alternative, I recommend Inkscape (inkscape.org). I am currently working on a follow-up video where I go into more detail about how I make templates/patterns that span multiple pages but that video isn't quite done yet.
