The dump trucks and crews are absolutely flying 24/7 day and night to get up factories, plow out new industrial areas, they cannot transport enough metal and machines fast enough.
There are English training centers appearing and full because new international trade offices are being put up faster than they can fill them with staff. They are mobbing university campuses with recruitment booths for ever damn factory position or tech or whatever else positions. Korea, it tempered military spending for socio-economic development and don't pursue wasteful prestige projects. Even swallowed its pride and reneged its bid to host the Asian Games scheduled for 2019 for economic reasons. There's also no cult of personality like in China or N. Korea. HCM himself was not an ardent communist. He was an admirer of the U.S. Constitution and a trusted ally of the U.S. during WW2, though he sought U.S. support for independence from colonial France from the time of Pres. Wilson toward Truman. The U.S. repeatedly ignored his requests and instead support its ally France (due to pressure in joining NATO) to recolonize. HCM was forced to seek support from Soviet Union and China for struggle to gain independence. Socialism was as a banner for national unification and libration. The rest is history.

I'm not saying they will do as China did but they could and may have to to defend against China if business keep moving there. That doesn't mean they'll try and be a global threat but we all know what happens when authoritarian countries start building bigger militaries, they start getting bigger plans that bring wider spread threats. India is facing that same threat and will keep building their military to deal with China.
Of course the US government likes that since it boosts their needs for bigger military spending. That's why we always push for nations to become democracies and not representative republics like we are. Democracies tend to lead to some form of authoritarianism even if on a small scale.

The multinational companies moved to China for cheap labor. Every greedy enterpreneur pretty much enjoyed gaining their profits. Foxconn tycoon is still the wealthiest in Taiwan. In fact, he is running for president in 2024. The pitiful ones are not the overnight rich Chinese factory owners but the underpaid small factory workers they hired. With this mass exodus, the important hard questions begged to be answers. The old brand names people have been so used to will be labelled made in Vietnam, Thailand, India, or Bangladesh. Will they sell better? It has been like that for a while now. Has Nike improved its quality? The rich investors and Taiwanese enterpreneurs just moved their factories elsewhere. Smaller daily essentials like stationery items and literally anything else from spare parts in hardware stores are still unmarked made in China goods.
China's spurt growth was sudden and triumphant. Has it been corrected? Is killing the competitor by the scared west especially America going to bring more wealth back to the middle class or house the poor and impoverished in San Francisco? China's growth has been halted. Their middle class has been demoted pretty much like everybody else around the world. If this doesn't kill the already-struggling people and the CCP, the result will be something else. There are still more people in China than anywhere else. There are local brands that we will never hear of. Big brand names will no longer be purchased by them. Our shopping habits has changed. Many no longer buy luxurious items, either. Who can afford them? We will see some richer countries like India, Vietnam, Thailand, Bangladesh, and Mexico(?). What about jobs for Americans? Isn't unemployment the same reason that caused drug abuse, homelessness, and more serious crimes? 🤔

I am extremely pleased to see such a radical improvement for industry present and future for Thailand and Vietnam.
"Made in China" means shoddy workmanship and out and out lying both about export quality and about transactions in other countries; the school in Vietnam being a perfect example. This is a firm denial of acceptance in other countries of the tofu-dreg method of doing business that seems to be a Chinese bedrock trait...lie, take the money, underperform and run with the cash.
Fining the school non-builders was a very positive note and improved my respect for Vietnam substantially as it showed a different work ethic than that which exists in China.
I am very happy to see that Toshiba has moved to Vietnam from China because I can now remove them from the personal boycott list and consider buying their products again.
And I _am_ in the market for a new laptop.
I simply don't buy _any_ Chinese-made product regardless of what company is making it. That includes companies like Tesla and Apple. If you're doing business with or in China you're boycotted even if your home office is in the U.S. I know I'm not alone in this regard. If you are feeding the coffers of the dictatorship you are sol. Sorry, not sorry. Grow some ethics.
Vietnam is a communist country so there will be careful wariness there (China is an insane poster boy for communism, standing right next to Russia) but products made in Thailand will now be welcomed with open arms in this household.
In the meantime, congratulations to both of them for their improved fortunes.

BTW have you done any research on fit and finish on Teslas made in the U.S.? You may find it interesting if a little disappointing; misaligned body panels, for starters. Don't talk down to me about doing research properly, laddy, my last 15 years with the government were as an analyst. I know research.
I *have* done some digging and while many of the accidents are caused by humans, there are also many on record that have nothing to do with the driver, like slamming the brakes on for no reason on a freeway or ramming a white cube truck that was making a left turn in front of it. The Tesla just flat out didn't see it. There's much more.
I offer a sincere apology for misusing your name.
_"Yes, all democracies are great and better than doctorships it seems....u are so ethical and high up there."_
Yes, Democracies are great and better than dictatorships for sure, not "it seems." And yes, democracy is more ethical and usually better informed than dictatorships. It's not a perfect system but it is beyond any doubt the best system of government this species has come up with so far.

Your view on what's good for another country is another sign of arrogance, implying that what's good for one part of the world is applicable to another side. China is far from perfect. But you do know that the western part of the world benefited from China's existence in terms of trade in some instances. It's not all one sided.

Chinese companies need to get out of china if they want to survive. But they should carefully choose their new country of action. Indeed, south east asia and india is a bad choice for chinese companies: they will face restrictions and big import taxes in the USA and europe, maybe also in Japan and south korea. But I believe that going to mexico, or even inside the USA, it is the best bet for them. In the USA or in Mexico , this last with labor cost as half as that of china, looks like the best bet, given that Mexico has free trade with the USA, Canada, europe and Japan, the most important markets in the world. Tesla and apple and i believe also foxconn are investing in mexico.

US Observer: End of Made in China? Huawei surpassing Google: ' Huawei HarmonyOS Surpasses 570 million devices Worldwide'
"Huawei's HarmonyOS has been installed on more than 570 million devices, which is an unprecedented number. HarmonyOS also has a domestic market share of 8% and has been installed on more than 570,000,000 devices. Despite these advances, a peculiar phenomena has emerged: some people continue to raise doubts about HarmonyOS's quality. Huawei's self-developed HarmonyOS filled a need in the Chinese mobile terminal OS. Some domestic producers gave it a shot, but they ultimately failed. Only Huawei persisted, and we now have the 2019 announcement of HarmonyOS 10! This system is a scenario-agnostic distributed OS that can function on a wide variety of devices, such as mobile phones, tablets, TVs, wearables, and automobiles. "✌
