OK, I am so glad I am not the only one who tinkers with placement of items. It seems insignificant, but like you said, it really does make a difference in the art! I agree, sometimes I like to leave a few options on my table, go and do something else to reset my brain, and then come back with a fresh eye. I like how you used three stamps for emphasis in the first collage, looks fantastic!
What a great idea! How fun it would be to exchange inexpensive postage stamps with friends in other countries, since they can be easily and inexpensively mailed as a letter in a small envelope. In fact, instead of using one stamp with the total postage on the outside of the envelope, a group of smaller stamps that are hand cancelled with the name of the city they were mailed from, would be smashing, even just mailing a group of stamps to self.
This has been so helpful to watch you do your collages. I am so glad that I participate in your collage challenge because it gives me a reason to practice so I can get better
I particularly loved your first postcard, Margarete, but they are both unique. Thank you for teaching us and giving explanations. You’re very peaceful to listen to as well. 😊
I have stamps from years ago when postage rates were changing and every time I come across them I wonder, what to do with them! Now I know,! Thank you, Margarete!
Exactly, Susan! I remember those days too, before the Forever stamps. I don't have just one or two, but multiples! It's even fun to collage with sets or blocks of those stamps.
I cannot bring myself to cut up old postcards. I would use the whole card clipped into a journal. I have a lot of them in archival picture albums and many are stamped & dated with messages written from & to family members from the past.
Your collages are beautiful and inspiring as always. Thank you for making this one! I'm super excited to go create. I already had purchased both of these postage stamps a while back and had forgot about them. No excuses now. Keep the videos coming, I love them all.
I have those same Tiffany lamp stamps and I kept looking at them thinking I’ll never use those on a letter, it would take up so much room. Bam, don’t use them as postage, use them as art! You are brilliant and have such an eye for color and placement. Thank you for always sharing and inspiring us.
Margarete: what fun is that? Love it. Using new postage stamps is a great idea. Your postcards turned out really nice. Always enjoy your videos. Carol from California
I have stamps I've bought over the years just because they're cool. They're just sitting there. I'm gonna start using them in my collages. Thanks for the inspiration
Penny stamps ....... how wonderful Margarete. I have a sheet sitting around and as usual, never thought to use them in a collage such as this. Thank you so much for sharing and giving me yet, another idea for my left over penny stamps. Both of your cards are wonderful and I love, love, love the colors on your first collage postcard........those reds are so inviting !! Beautiful ❤
I did not know about the penny stamps being available. I LOVE those coffee pots!! Thank you for sharing!
They're so fun!! ❤️ I hope you'll be picking up some soon 😉👍🏼
Love how you clustered the silver coffeepot stamps...both cards are beautiful!! 😉🫖 Will definitely be purchasing some 1- & 3-cent stamps!! 💌
Awesome! Have fun with them! 😉👍🏼💜
Love watching your process 💙
My eyes can relax well when watching you collaging. I love the look of the 1st card you made. Have a great weekend Margarete! xx

As usual, awesome video with lots of inspiration! Helpful as I am taking a collage class at a local museum and your ideas are very helpful. ❤
What a neat class!! I hope you learn lots of cool things to keep you inspired 😉💙
I loved your postcards, thanks a lot for explaining how you choose and decide what to do in each case. I learned a lot!
Glad it was helpful, Pilar❣️
So helpful! thanks.
Love those collages... off to the post office tomorrow for some stamps! Who knew!?!😂
Yay!!!! 👏🏼
These are great. You are inspiring me. I am still gathering papers for the postcard swap. I need to get off my duff and get them done
You'll get there. I'm sure of it 😉💙👍🏼
I enjoyed this. It helps me. Too often I get my pieces together and just start puttng them down.. I should slow down.
Thanks for stopping by, Jean❣️
Those are great. The low postage makes it look vintage. Blessings and Hugs 🤗 NRN = no reply necessary
Very nice, Margarete! Do you double tape all your images down or just the base and glue the rest?
For sure I tape thicker pieces. I think it's easier to use gluestick on thin pieces.
yea the longer is better.......
