Please please please rewatch Twin Peaks and make a video of your favorite episode or analysis of characters or symbols! I was thinking of doing that and would lovvvvvve to have your point of view! Such an amazing series!
I love hearing everything you've watched each month 🥰 thank you as always for all your thoughts and feelings on so many great pieces of media. Sending you lots of love, Emma! 🫂
Twin Peaks is one of my favorite shows and one of the weirdest things on screen I’ve ever seen. I’d love to rewatch and hear your thoughts if you go through it again. So much to unpack, idk if I even got it all yet
It’s so hard because I don’t know where to start with any video content about it
@@spookyastronauts I'd love to see a video about the episode called "Gotta Light". Scariest thing I've ever seen on TV.
@@spookyastronauts maybe an explanation of the characters and what they represent? Or a breakdown of the more odd/surreal moments of the show?
Blackcoat's Daughter is one of my very faves! But I had to watch it three times before I could appreciate it! It's very dark and personally I have to be in a good frame of mind to watch it...for people who tend to get low.
Hey Emma! Thanks so much for your postcard following the long live stream! It was super fun and such a lovely surprise to get the post card! Thanks again!
Yay!!
yall dont forget about EVIL season 4 coming out on MAY 23rd!!!
The final season of Evil is releasing in a week or two so I'm going to re-watch the series in advance of it coming out; if you haven't watched it already, I highly recommend it 👍
Watching The Final Girls again was so fun! I always look forward to your monthly round-ups. :)
If you haven't seen it, check out The Believer(2001). I've been a Ryan Gosling fan ever since. Great starting point if you want to see some of his older stuff.
It's really good
Emma talking about the most disturbing movies on the list with a smile on her face 😂 and then immediately pausing to take a sip with a traumatized look in her eyes as she gets to Argyle is how we know that Emma gets us 🤣🤣
I'd like to (highly) recommend the Hulu TV miniseries "Under the Bridge." It stars Riley Keough, Lily Gladstone, and a cast of some wonderfully talented teenager actors. In movies, I just saw a tense drama called "The Royal Hotel" starring Julia Garner ("Ozark"). She plays a woman on vacation with her friend in Australia (!) who gets employment at a questionable and volatile pub.
She should have won the Oscar for Killers of the Flower Moon
Blackcoats Daughter is one of my favourites. Nick Cage is in Longlegs, should be great 👍
Thank you for all the suggestions and reviews.
Re-watching Twin Peaks is always a good idea!
It gets better every time :)
I watched the new season of Them: The Scare. It was really good, very creepy. You're one of the few people who I saw review Season 1, so I'm hoping you review season 2 when you see it as well!
I know, but I’m also thinking of giving it a go twin peak!
Thanks a lot for the Lowlifes tip, I really didn’t see that coming Emma.
shame that you interpreted Bob as the narrator, I can imagine that being a distraction...on the other hand it's a total riot having Sterling Archer narrate lol
Came to say that I was also wondering if they were going for the Archer aspect over Bob, lol
Also, I have watched the whole Ryan gosling filmography, and there are a few hidden gems in there! I remember really liking ‘the believer” (which I also remember being pretty disturbing), ‘half Nelson’, and ‘the United States of Leland’ back in the day!
too bad we never got a final girls 2
Always such a good idea to rewatch Twin Peaks! Totally co-signing your choice, hope you do it!
Emma, if you are looking for a tv show to watch, you should definitely watch the new fallout show that just came out. you will love it.
Love that you like Final Girls. I always recommend this one! So much fun!
Seen Civil War 3 times already….. the movie of the year so far for me. A masterpiece.😢😢😢😢
Yes! Let’s watch Twin Peaks again!!!!!!!! 👏👏👏
Hi, Emma, just discovered your channel. I love your videos. Keep up the amazing work. Just a quick question: how do you feel about I Spit on Your Grave? Just wondering. Thanx.
I've seen Immaculate, Civil War Challengers, The King Tide and Abigail recently. I've actually watched Abigail three times now. It's such an entertaining movie.
The Blackcoat's Daughter was really eerie, unsettling and disturbing. Interesting yet bleak as hell ending.
The King Tide was excellent but... That ending? Wow. Reminded me of Midnight Mass. Speaking of TV series, I need to go back and finish For All Mankind and Constellation on AppleTV.
I also balled at the end of Civil War, was just a lot. But loved it
Lots of love & support
From 🇮🇳
Big Fan of you...
Respect Dear Mam. 😍
❤❤😊cool
Yeah ! you could do a video only on Twin Peaks. !!! It would be awesome !
Oooohhhhh if you’re ready for a twin peaks rewatch, I may be ready to do it with you 🫣
I'm a huge fan of Julio and he's one of the few people I really look up to. When I found that he was in a movie called Problemista and actually directing it, I already knew it was going to be amazing. After watching the whole film, I instantly loved it, definitely one of the few films where I felt connected and his character resonated with me on a personal level. I guess the things he was going through, specially the opening scene where he's in a virtual interview for a job which not only was a relatable moment but also how he delivered those lines in a nervous and awkward way, I thought it was funny because I'm like that in real life when I'm applying for different jobs. The fact that you loved the movie makes it really special because I love how honest you are about how you feel on certain movies when reviewing them, most specially horror movies. I know you lean more into reviewing horror films but I hope to see more of these reviews on different kind of genres in movies in the future, it's refreshing and exciting for me personally. Also, if you loved Julio in this film, would definitely recommend his show which he stars in called "Los Espookys" on HBO. There are only 2 seasons unfortunately since I heard the 3rd one got cancelled, I've seen it and it's an absolute delight. I thought since you love horror, you would have also liked this series. I'm not gonna give anything away but it's like Goosebumps meets Scooby Doo feel to it. Hopefully, you would give it a go. This was lengthy but I appreciate you reading the whole thing. Sending you love Emma! 💙
Thanks for the video and for sharing your thoughts on everything you watch. Have a great day!
Thank you for always supporting me. ❤️
I honestly don’t know what happened with that last episode of sugar.
Hey Emma! Have you watched Constellation yet on Apple TV? You should if you haven’t! (But avoid the trailer and synopses even…go in blind). I haven’t watched the finale yet, but I’m 7 episodes into the 8 episode first season, and it is very much worth watching. A dark and eerie Sci-Fi drama/thriller with a lot of horror elements.
When you said you were a big fan of reality TV, I finally understood what my father meant all those times he said 'I'm not mad at you, I'm just disappointed.' 😢😄
I’ve talked about reality for years! I love it
Thanks for sharing your list, Emma. I did see "The Fall Guy" as well and I enjoyed it. A romantic comedy with amazing stunts. If you are looking into other Ryan Gosling films, there are two that I highly recommend: Murder By Numbers (2002, w/Sandra Bullock) and The Nice Guys (2016, w/Russell Crowe).
Here are a couple of highlight films that I saw in April:
GONJIAM: HAUNTED ASYLUM (2018, Korean horror, found footage) - score 7/10, good plot twist.
ABIGAIL (2024) - score 7/10.
CHALLENGERS (2024) - score 4/10, I was not the target audience.
THE STAR CHAMBER (1983, w/Michael Douglas) - score 8/10, one of my favorite legal thrillers.
Emma, I can't wait to see Civil War. And the Rob Zombie trilogy I've seen them all twice. 😊
You saw a lot of good ones. Unfortunately all the theaters around here closed down so will have to wait for it physical. Cool video Emma!👉🙂👈
Delightful recap vibes as always, thank you.
I’m a huge champion of The Blackcoat’s Daughter. Leaves you feeling sick and compassionate with a broken heart.
I would recommend Blue Valentine and Stay if you have not seen those for some interesting Ryan Gosling content.
4:54 lucky you have apple TV +
Thanks Emma. I loved the tv show 'We were the lucky ones'.
Highly recommend for you to watch The last stop in Yuma county, it's a really fun thriller!
It'd be nice to be a champion tennis 🎾 player instead of the mediocre one I am but not if I have to go the route of the character in the excellent Challengers.
Excellent video. l would like to see final girls.
I just watched "dead boy detectives" and even though its for teenagers, I do enjoyed it quite much. But I also am playing with the thought of getting back into the "twin peaks" universe and rewatch everything with a more clear state of mind ^^
The hair is stunnin!
Gotta check out Bag of Lies!
Sting unfortunately was my biggest disappointment of the year so far :/ Would love to hear your thoughts on older Ryan Gosling movies. I fell in love with him through "Stay" and "Lars and the women"
I’ve seen those two! Great films
I saw Shogun mini series and Fallout s1. I loved both shows
Have you watched 'Abnormal beauty'? I think it will suit your taste in films.
Every time I hear the McDonald's commercial and brian cox's voice i remember him in l.i.e. lol and there is one specific seen in the woodsman where the wife is trying to be what he needs that is forever in my brain.
I’m hooked on the 100 at the moment
I’ve been watching 3 Body Problem, Dispatches from Elsewhere and rewatching the UK series Utopia on TV, enjoying all of them! I mentioned before but L.I.E. Is a favourite of mine. I watched Problemista right after Musica which was weirdly a similar kind of autobiography film with a South American magical realism style to it. (Problemista is definitely the better film IMO)
pardon if i missed this during an earlier video but.... mite i inquire as to how u came about the moniker "spookyastronauts"?
I wanted to love Problemista as much as you did. I did enjoy it, and Tilda is amazing even for her. It just felt messy and inconsistent to me.
I love The Circle's concept but hate just how quickly it became all about catching (and eliminating) catfishes... like they turned a perfectly fine part of the game into some cardinal sin 😭 Have you seen the show UnREAL btw ?
Hey Emma, for me the best Ryan Reynolds movie is The Nice Guys with Russel Crowe, I wished it had a sequel, it's a little like kiss kiss bang bang, if you haven't seen this one I also highly recommend it
Re: Twin Peaks - just start with Fire Walk With Me and follow up with The Return. That's the best of it in my opinion.
I so abigail yesterday I couldn't eat afford. Best vampire movie in a long the only time.
i want to see problemista so bad!! have you watched los espookies? the main character it one if the main trio in that show and its so good, i think you would love it!
baby reindeer didnt even catch me off guard, even though it should have. Maybe because I am lucky to not have had any experiences the protagonists had, but I did relate and it helped me alot! to understand the main protagonists actions.
Hi Emma 👻 You got me into
vanderpump rules and I watched all of the seasons and I stopped watching the real housewives of Beverly hills the first seasons to watch to vanderpump rules. I'm going back to watch the real housewives to finish the old seasons but I saw the last season so I'm up to date on it😂 Yeah the valley wasn't as good as vanderpump rules. I couldn't get into it either. Now I've been watching ER and the new season of Hacks. 👻
I was hoping The Valley was a reboot of 2012s The Valleys. Early UK reality tv I highly recommend it if you haven't seen it. Hilarious
Season 2 of - Them... came out April 25th..
My son is hard to please when it comes to horror and he even loved it.
Great acting, great visually, good horror scenes, confronting at times and makes you feel things. But I don't see too many ppl talking about it enough. Everyone I have recommended it to have also loved it.
Oof, The War Zone. One of the most compelling, haunting movies I've seen in my life...and I never, ever want to watch it again.
Fallout is an amazing show. Highly recommend.
do you plan on watching season two of Them? it just came out on Prime and it's really good !
Fallout on Amazon prime is fantastic!
Have you seen Stay with Ryan Gosling and Ewan McGregor? Heard about that one from possessed by horror.
Yes I’ve seen stay
Civil War is FREAKING EXCELLENT and idk why it seems to be getting hate. It's not perfect and I think its marketing sells it short (it's not really a speculative fiction movie with a lot of worldbuilding and it isn't meant to be) but the acting is so good
Baby Reindeer was really good
What app is used to keep track of the movies?
Letterboxd
Thank you. Looks like a useful app for the future
This is a certified hood classic 🦘
Omg unexpected cameo from me! 🥰
i didnt know if you watched these videos
@@spookyastronauts of course!! 💕
I can't get over how much U watch.
Kind of unexpected to start with TV shows first but I like it! Also as a Horror fan have you been watching the Chucky tv series?
“It needed a little more gore” -Emma
And this is why we love Emma so much! 😊
When I saw the trailer for Boy Kills World, I was so turned off like I can't even explain. It made me feel so cringe and horrible, I doubt I'll ever watch it which is a shame because I really enjoy Bill Skarsgard :( But just nooooo. I'm starting Baby Reindeer, and the first episode made me feel so so uncomfortable so can't wait to see where it goes! Great wrap up as always :)
Thanks Vee
Have you watched Slasher on Netflix?
I just got caught up on Sugar last night. The show is an interesting neo noir show but there is a massive divisive reveal at the end of e6 that is, pretty much an unheard of type of twist as far as I have experienced. Will still watch the final 2 eps hopefully they can wrap it up ok, but DAMN.
Yeah I hated the end of ep 6
I hope Mulder and scully or the men in black show up to take care of this
I think Mind Body Spirit is released Digitally. Can you do a review on it??
Yes I have one I’m working on! I’m just sick right now so trying to get it up!
love your accent what part of England or Ireland speak this accent jus if any body know

Hey Spooky check out The Coffee Table,.
Hey shout out from Sydney - love your reviews - and would love to you educate the masses on the Devon Sawa movie called Idle Hands (i'm sure you have seen it , but if not, check it out!)
I started rewatching dance moms dont judge me
EMMA PLEASE WATCH LOS ESPOOKYS if you liked problemista
The AI convos associated with late night with the devil are so stupid it was only 3 pics
I thought you were watching the asunta case but apparently not 🙃
Big brother can?
Disturbing doesn't even begin to describe The War Zone... I'm watching an old Disney movie to wash the yuck off of me.
Loved that movie, ending is so twisted with how manipulative the dad tries to be
Hey 👋 Emma🩷✨
Sugar phone home
😊awesome
If you think The Valley is bad, you should give Vanderpump Villa a go. Literally one of the worst “reality” shows I’ve ever attempted to watch.
Haha no thank you!
@12:40 Red vs Blue in America? More like the far-right vs the right, they are not that different as their fans believe.
i really dont like new movies compared to older ones, filmed in 4k is like filming in dark dingy glasses...
Slayy
