- Photochemical reactions occurring in surface waters, that comprise direct and indirect photolysis, play a key role in their environmental attenuation. The photoinduced degradation of contaminants of environmental concern (CECs) was studied under different experimental conditions to explore its photolytic fate in the aqueous environment. Moreover, the exploitation of Advanced Oxidation Processes (AOPs) is among the possible ways for increasing treatment efficiency.
