I LOVED this movie as a kid. Halloween is my fave holiday and have been watching horror since I was 3, so this was perfect for me. And so many good songs in it. Always fun watching Jay. I think that Oogie Boogie(the Boogyman) had raised them and was such a bad influence on them. I mean even tge town song says "we look bad but we're not mean, in our town of Halloween", so they aren't supposed to be actually evil, just spooky. And that's why Oogie Boogie is the villain, because he was actually evil. And his evil influenced those kids behavior.

I'm old so I saw this in theater as a kid! Also the music in this is still absolute perfection! (Also also I swear any couple that's dated at least 3 years will have a Jack and Sally Halloween costume photo! 😂)

The amount of times you said “Jack really stole Christmas” reminds me of my own first watch. There are actually a surprising amount of similarities between Jack and Grinch. To the point that I kinda want to read a fanfic where Grinch dies and becomes Jack, like they’re literally the same person. That sounds like a fun concept 😅
