Thoroughly, methodically and professionally done. Good Job! These drills are mainly used by electricians and plumbers to drill holes for wire and piping in ceiling joists and wall studs. This one was a good choice and appears to have had little use judging by the Commutator. Poor workman destroyed the Chuck.
I always waiting for your new video All your video that post on youtube is awesome I give you one like to you .Good job. It doesn't work anymore, Your restoration any kind machine. You always make it work. These Comments For You !!! You always make me happy. I watching your video to get rid of my stress. All the machine smell so good and wash with soap.
Wow ! One of the best restoration I ever seen: meticulous, methodically and of course a very practical tool ! Superb quality video at all points, thanks for sharing !🇨🇦
Nice to see that at least most of the bearings were driven on/in correctly this time (by applying pressure to the ring being mated, avoiding putting pressure on the balls). I still think the front part should have been painted black as it was originally, but nice job otherwise. :)
Awseome job. I love your vids. I think an old Jacobs keyed chuck wouldve looked better though instead of the plastic keyless though. Just my 2 cents. Keep the content rollin.
For people asking themselves why he didn't restore the chuck: Chucks, just like bearings, are actually considered "wear parts" on professional drills. they are expected to be replaced every x years.
Regarding the cubic container with the rubber gloves, what is it that comes out of the spray nozzle, simply air? My first guess was it is a sandblaster but I’m leaning away from that.
Just curious. I'm thinking plastic housings were standard for power hand tools now since metal is an electrocution hazard. Is this not so anymore? It's not like I'll ever buy one but I am curious.
Did you test the japan import for radioactivity? These tools look exactly like tsunami-damaged machines. Super talented work! I think you don't need to import from japan you can get a ton of this kind of tools for free in the UK or where ever you live...
Gord Baker not everything he does on this channel requires new bearings. There a lot of cleaning up, greasing, fixing a connection or two, and BOOM good as new.
I'm assuming you removed the old 2 pin plugtop and replaced it with a 3 pin...? It'd also be nice to see you testing both armatures AND field packs PROPERLY for comparable values AND insulation resistance... NOT just a quick continuity beep...🇬🇧👍
Wait! You said in the description that you did a mistake in the restoration. Then what was it? I wonder what it was. And like always, you're amazing and keep the good work! (sorry if my English is bad, I'm from Belgium)
Thank you for asking! as human living, mistakes always happen every time small and big, no one is 100% perfect. This is the reason I said in the description like that. Anyway thank you, and your English is good 👍🤝.
21:05 Looks like signs of a hack job, and a poor one at that. The bearing was too loose on the shaft, so someone made those punch marks to make it stay on. They would have to be closer to the edge for it to actually work properly. Something we apprentices weren't allowed to do when I apprenticed as a fitter back in the mid-90's.
Супер. Полностью разобрали и все подшипники поменяли.
Great job 👍
Great restoration. The "hammered" paint looks good.

That is some satisfying bearing pressing.

Good👍🏻🇸🇦😍
Nice job again!..pressing bearings instead of beating them into place is always best!
And using the correct size socket for which part of the bearing you're putting the force on.
I'm always happy when i see a new video in this channel :D
I am glad to hear that.
Well done your followers from Saudi Arabia🇸🇦👍🏻🤗

originally it could have been dark green, which got even darker with time :D

Finally, he's started sandblasting!!! Woohoo
Lookslike a laser pistol from fallout world
Top knotch audio!! Perfectly clear and great volume!

Ok bro. Lebih banyak bikin Video yang lain. Request Bosch GBH 2-26
Okay I will find Bosch GBH 2-26 to make the video for you as I could.
Thanks for resfons . I like all your vidios. gear show the best 😍😍👍👍
Really nice restoration. I'm not familiar with the brand Shinko, but it looks like it's a high quality tool. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you!
I know Shinko from tyres, but yes the tool looks to be of quality.
The best!
Thank you!
Nossa, voce é demais, haja tempo e paciencia. Costumo fazer esses tipos de trabalho nas minhas maquinas aqui. Essa furadeira, eu tenho uma igual aqui.
Thank you!
Cara kk vc percebeu a qualidade da maquina? Os rolamentos estava praticamente novos fora as outras partes

So - what do you do with all these tools after refurbishment. Many are useful items, they deserve to be used again.
I keep them now.
Молодец
Thank you!
Отлично!!
Muito bom.
It is so satifying to watch then you press the bearings onto each part.
Oh really, nice to hear that.
@@gear_show no problem and keep up the good work.

how much did it cost u to rebuild? is it worth over buying a new one?
Tasos Arpoudis is you have all the tools you could probably do this for under $10. It’s really not that hard or expensive if you have the knowledge
Costs less to repair, and it's funny also
Plus you will not find the same quality in recently manufactured tools.
@@therealtrucker7564 Obviously you have not purchased Bearings in 50 years.

Cool
Nice
bon travail. Ce serait intéressant d'avoir le coût des réparations.
No funcionaria mejor como pulidora? Claro, dependiendo las revoluciones
Подпишите сколько лет инструменту который восстанавливаете ?
What lubricant you use?
I use lubricant wd 40.
Off topic. Does anyone know what happened to the restoration guy with the great intro of maple syrup? I can't find him anywhere??
The Ropes of Renovation are you referring to HandTool Rescue channel? He’s still around and doing restorations
@@nathanconner7041 Yes, yes. Oh thank goodness. I thought I lost him forever. Thanks so much =)
Your welcome, glad to help
0:00 the music is "Summer time (MAZ)". I use it in my videos.

Great work! How do you remember how all the parts go back together again. Do you take notes or pictures while you're taking it apart?
Pure porn. Love it. Every person’s dream to keep an old tool running perfect

You had an earth wire in the power cord, but where is the prong that the wire goes to? All I see are 2 prongs on the plug.
It has a bracket at the end of the cable.
Niceeeeeeee
👍👍👍👍👍👍
Доктор Дью явно одобрит.

I believe that sentence means that he apologizes *if* he made a mistake during restoration, not that he did actually make a mistake.
Эм.. собирать на закрытые подшипы? Оо на 18 мин, новые болты хорошо бы было проложить шайбами, чтоб краску не содрать при закручивании)

Thank you sharing! This hole happen while I was pulling the bearing out by using bearing puller.
@@gear_show Ah, I thought there were something odd about the position of the mark. No previous hack job then. :)
