Suggestion for you girls, for gluing pieces like the wall sconce there are much better alternatives to hot glue and super glue. Five minute, two part epoxy is cheap and readily available at any hardware store. Or even E6000 adhesive from the craft store.
Ok so not sure if y’all will see this but thanks to y’all finding that Pipe holder I started looking for one as a gift to my dad and now I have the perfect gift! 😍
Y'all should do a thrift store as-is video! Like, purchase pieces from the thrift store, leave them as is (or make minor repairs), then show in the video how you style them to make it a vibe
I am watching this episode just laughing. You girls have come a long ways in five years. It’s so fun to see how you both have grown and expanded your channel over the years. You’re both absolutely wonderful and so creative and inspirational.
i do wish the girls would maybe create some diys that aren't all exactly the same style, like i love everything they create and i loved the way the one sconce turned out but i think it could have been cool if they kinda kept the integrity of it with the vine detail
I so agree with you ladies! Vintage, boho items such as thrift store items are becoming mainstream and the aesthetic nowadays so people are going for abstract, organic decor by thrifting and leaving items as it. But I always love how creative you gals get with your upcycles. Such cute ideas! Keep the creativity coming. Love you all ❤
This is one of those rare thrift flips where everything turned out incredible! I know from experience that it can be so hard to turn weird things you find thrifting into the dream you have for them, so this one was awesome! You got some lucky finds but also were really creative with what you had.
OMG I fell in love with all the diy this time😍💖 the Christmas scene, the candle holders, everything felt so wintery and cozy, my inner Santa Claus is crying of happiness💖🎅🏻
The one's that look all plasticy I agree, but you can get some that have that waxy look and they look nice. Also, its hard to tell when the lights are off.
In our family, we always have real candles on the tree. ^^' no tea lights though, but special Christmas tree candles, that go out about 1cm before they are burned though. They are about 10 cm tall and thin and go on the outer most branches of the tree. You have to be careful to get them straight and to not have anything above the burning candle of course. And toward the end of the season, when the tree is dry, we don't light them anymore. But there's nothing more beautiful as a real candle Christmas tree, so it's definitely worth it for us. :) It's just so cozy...
@@secondhandmuse6374 One reason that a lot of places don't have them is that they don't have a lot of 'throwaway' culture the way that is more popular some places. I know a lot of people who change their decor often, but that's not popular everywhere and instead of acquiring more, people use what they have so there is less of a need for thrift shops.
Belinda Short while I really respect and admire that (and wish we were more like that in the states!) I’d be surprised if there was absolutely no need for them at all - people still grow and go through different stages of life with different needs that I hate for that stuff to end up in landfills (though that still happens in the states as well, I once saw a woman toss a perfect condition Kate Spade purse in a dumpster 😩)
@@BelindaShort I think it has a lot to do more with the fact that recycling just isn't a thing in some places. There have been thrift shops in the 80s and it definitely wasn't throwaway culture at that time. Thrifting was something poor people had to do, I was mocked for my thrift store clothes. And I think in some places that's still rooted in deep, thrifted things can make you look dirty or poor (when actually you can get really good stuff) laziness is also one thing, even if thrifting is really trendy right now in my country, a lot of good designer stuff still manages to end up in the landfills, usually when they renovate old apartments (they bring these huge metal containers where you can dump your stuff, luckily people on facebook are really active and tell where they are located, you can find really expensive things from them) People also die, their clothes, furniture, etc. also has to go somewhere? I don't know anyone who changes their decor often, I guess it's also a generation thing? Since millenials are mostly poor. My favourite thing is always to brag how cheap my home decor was, my furnitures are mostly things that were free and broken and I just fixed them :,) To the other people saddened that their areas don't have thrift shops: are you really sure? I think sometimes they can be hidden, search if your area has local recycling center, here usually cities have one (they also accept electrical waste etc.) search if your city/town has any facebook groups that donate or sell used goods or maybe you can start one? I'm sure people have things that are useless to them and instead of giving them to someone, they just end up putting them into trash. Good luck!!
Maybe for the winter scene put in a broken piece of fence near the dear, so you can use the fence post to turn the lights on and off? Very cute. I liked it all.
i love the candle holder wall sconce and thought it would look just as festive if the bottom of the glass was sprayed with frosting paint so it gives it a more winter feel idk i loved it though!!
Awesome girls!! What a fun trip and I love what you did with your finds! I love it that you didn’t know that was a pipe stand and I did....LOL .... big age difference OMG 😮 I really liked the winter scene if I have to pick one. Thank you girls, I love watching your videos.
Nailed it! All so gorgeous. I think it was tied between the xmas scene ( because what an upcycle for that pipe holder.) And the minimal wall sconce (because I couldnt see beyond the ugly frilly shade in the store.) Merry cozy christmas to my favorite DIY girls!
I actually like the wall sconce... I'm not a wall sconce person but Becky did a really good job on it. I wouldn't mind hanging that up in my house. Good job!
@TheSorryGirls: The wood holder actually holds pipes. My papaw (great-grandfather) was an avid pipe smoker & loved his many pipes. He had one of these on the mantle in his house for many years. The man smoked a pipe right up until he died, just shy of 100yrs old. An FYI: The tubular glass vase is actually a bud vase for placing a single flower, usually a rose, for display.
With the extra circular wooden bit from the pipe holder, you should add three more holes in the blank spaces (so there are 12 holes total) and make it into a cool wooden wall clock!!
the sconce was my most favorite...have you ever done a studio apartment french style with thrift items? would you take up such challenge?...thanks for sharing
I think the winter scene was a great idea! However, I think it would be worth looking into terrarium construction, and how to maximize the space of the vase you picked out. Creating more depth, and choosing more elegant pieces to fill it would take this DIY to the next level! (In my own opinion of course). Great job though! Such an original idea.
The wood thing was meant for storing pipes. My grandfather (and even my dad and uncle at some point) smoked pipes. I still have some of the cooler looking pipes in the collection as decor in my office. I think the idea was the store them upright so tar and excess tobaccos would go up the pipe.
I love it all. But I think there's a little too much "snow" in the glass scene. Looks like 4 feet of snow. I'd use half that. Easier to turn the lights on too. I love how creative you two are! The pipe rack....genius!
The wooden holder looks like a pipe holder. My grandfather collected pipes and all his were in one very similar.
Yep, it definitely is.
I was gonna say, but I was scrolling to see if someone else thought the same :)
@@Earth2LalaLand I did the same lol
agree. Pipe stand
I concur

I have worked at both craft stores and hardware stores, and I can confirm - two part epoxies or E6000 are a godsend.
I literally fixed my glasses with E6000 lol
I did the beautiful terrarium scene too... my cat decided to pee in the salt 🙄
Oh my goodness, first I read "my DAD decided to pee in the salt"... o.o
😳😂
CATS lmao 😹
The Little Maldo's lmao 😂
Cats are assholes.
But how could we live without them? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Don’t use salt for the snow unless you live in a drier climate! The salt will draw moisture out of the air and solidify into a block
"I was having a bad week because Nick Jonas got married"
PREACH GIRL PREEEEEACH!
Ok so not sure if y’all will see this but thanks to y’all finding that Pipe holder I started looking for one as a gift to my dad and now I have the perfect gift! 😍
The wall candle sconce turned out great, but the little old lady in me liked it better before lol
Y'all should do a thrift store as-is video! Like, purchase pieces from the thrift store, leave them as is (or make minor repairs), then show in the video how you style them to make it a vibe
The thing might be for making fondue, because you normally have a stand with a candle or heated under it to keep it hot when serving it.
My favorite is the winter scene! Honestly I would take anything you up cycled today!
I am watching this episode just laughing. You girls have come a long ways in five years. It’s so fun to see how you both have grown and expanded your channel over the years. You’re both absolutely wonderful and so creative and inspirational.
That pipe holder could have been so many things now i wanna find one
"When i started taking stuff away it just felt good" you sounded just like Cheyenne from superstore lol
i do wish the girls would maybe create some diys that aren't all exactly the same style, like i love everything they create and i loved the way the one sconce turned out but i think it could have been cool if they kinda kept the integrity of it with the vine detail

I love the winter terrarium and the mini lantern. So cute accually they were all great DIY ideas.
I honestly can't believe how well everything turned out based on what they looked like before! Awesome job girls.
Definitely a pipe holder. My PopPop had one for all his pipes. (Tobacco pipes not all the other nonsense cray cray drugs that also use pipes).
The wall candlestick holder thing also might look nice with flowers in it
This is one of those rare thrift flips where everything turned out incredible! I know from experience that it can be so hard to turn weird things you find thrifting into the dream you have for them, so this one was awesome! You got some lucky finds but also were really creative with what you had.
My favorite was the jar with trees and Bambi, so cute!!
Dude, this is my FAVORITE video series you do. I am living for that wall candle holder- like how did you even come up with that?!?
The best ideas... pipe holder snow scene my fav but all a close second!!!!
OMG I fell in love with all the diy this time😍💖 the Christmas scene, the candle holders, everything felt so wintery and cozy, my inner Santa Claus is crying of happiness💖🎅🏻
These flips were AWESOME. They all looked very trendy but unique
I cannot believe what you girls did with all that junk. You made it look fantastic!!! So creative 👍🏻
My heart broke when you cut off the gold filigree on the candle holder. Paint it black for Spooky Realness.
I really hate the look of fake candles but I guess if you are putting them on a Christmas tree it's the only way
Same! How to turn a Christmas tree into a bonfire.. lol

Those tall candlesticks are also called tapers. I believe.
I million percent agree with becky about thrift store stuff being in style now

Kelsey killed it with the winter scene
I liked all of the thrifts DIY's, but my favorite was both the candle sconce and winter tree wonderland. 👍TFS!!
This is one of the better thrift flips they've done.
Three thumbs up

Who else was reminded of Capitan Hook when Becci held up the unfinished wall candle holder?
Really clever ideas and the results are stunning. Impressed!!
my goodness Girls this by far is my most favorite DIY Christmas video I have ever seen in the Internet world wide web!!
you guys are so creative and i don’t think you get nearly enough credit for it. love this so much!!
They're all soooo cutee!!
Envious of your creativity tbh! Love it!
The wood stand is definitely a pipe holder. My dad has one along with the pipes that belonged to his uncle.
LOVE the wall sconce!!
She totally had that basket in the beginning upside down 😂
Very cozy! I liked seeing her wear the necklace you guys made the other day!
Watching this practically in May but can still feel the Christmas-y mood haha!
Loved the way everything turned out. You are so creative!
I actually like the wall sconce... I'm not a wall sconce person but Becky did a really good job on it. I wouldn't mind hanging that up in my house. Good job!
A candlestick is where you place a taper candle. The candle itself is not a candlestick.
Yes! A taper candle! Cringed more after the candle stick realization than when she called it a taper. :-P
Exactly....like why is acting dumb so cool?
@@SabrinaMascarenhasFiineArts I don't think she was acting dumb, have you never forgotten a word for a moment? It happens to everyone, even youtubers.
It’s a pipe stand! Men used to have different pipes for different types of tobacco

the sconce was my most favorite...have you ever done a studio apartment french style with thrift items? would you take up such challenge?...thanks for sharing
The big wheel gave me major nostalgia
I loved this video
The first Diy by Kelsey is sooo magicall!!!!

I love all these DIYs but I was cracking up at the deer being half the size of the tree 😂
You could've put some like pillow stuffing around the base of the christmas scene to cover the holes and add more snow

brilliant and talented sisters!
The brass candle holder is my favorite!
You can do miniatures like they had on the original CSI! This totally reminded me of those episodes with Grisholm!

Kelsey in the first 15 seconds of the video is me trying to explain to my mom why I need the thing I’m trying to buy.
