Where is MPX wtf? MPX is the most changed weapon after the recoil update. The gun is literally a laser beam and has a 0 recoil even with a 30 level build. It’s my favorite weapon of the wipe so far and is not that expensive. You buy at Mechanic 3 he has a 94k base version of MPX that already has the longest barrel and the best handguard(which unlocks at Mechanic 4) so you can build a MPX at level 30 with nearly meta components. It’s weird to not see the MPX on the list. Everyone should try it out in this wipe. That weapon’s recoil is insanely good man oohh…
Personally I’ve had issues with the MCX’s bullet velocity. Compared to 5.56 the rounds just feel sluggish and at any range over 20-30 meters I would rather have 5.56 or one of the various 7.62 calibers. That being said it does feel better than an SMG at longer range and an M4 at closer range.
that meta MCX is the worst looking rifle possible. I dont know why they choose the worst performing mods irl as the meta ones in Tarkov. these Meta builds end up looking horribly

The SA-58 is actually really decent right now. You can build a fine one at all LL3 traders and if you check the flee enough you can pick up the base gun for like 60k. It does have a lot more recoil than the AUG and SMGS, but if you are bursting m80s than you shred at close range and it can just be a dmr at long range.
Would add PPSh to the list. Pst is almost as good as AP 6.3 while being dirt cheap, 71rnd drum available and it is literally *scav-tier* free gun which you can loot on the go. Couple all that with 1000rpm and it is simply a god tier weapon now from price/effectiveness balance point.
No pistols on this list is an oversight, they have become an essential part of my loadouts now, which is crazy to say. It saves my good ammo when fighting scavs, keeps me quiet and off the radar from other PMCs, and has been a reliable lifeline when I get in a scuffed engagements.
Nah, I wouldn't call it an oversight. I think there's a not very wide range of player skill where pistols make sense. Or maybe it's not even a range of player skill level as much as a function of what a given player is skilled at. This guy has 30mil in his stash in that video. I doubt he really gives a shit about ammo cost. He can afford to spend his good ammo on scavs. Thus, pistols don't make sense for him. I suck at PvP and pack my gear with the assumption that should I get in a PvP encounter, I die. My ammo choice is based first and foremost on what's good against scavs. Thus, pistols make no sense to me because my ammo is there for the sole purpose of killing scavs already. My guess is that pistols make sense when you're reasonably good at PvP and thus use PvP ammo, but aren't so good that the price of that ammo becomes a non-issue.
Most guns are viable this wipe and also "trash" ammo from previous wipes is also viable now. I've had some nasty squad wipes just using something like 9mm PST or 7.62x39 SP. I'd say aim is more important that ammo pen now.
The AUG is probably bang for buck the best 556 weapon you can get this wipe. It is insanely cheap to both purchase and mod and can use 42 Round Mags. Which is completely enough. And only fit into the AUG and are therefore less likely to be taken with you when you die. The recoil behavior is incredibly good. Even a meta-modded M4 can hardly keep up and is much more expensive. From my point of view, the AUG has jumped from the worst full-auto 556 weapon into the top 3 and in terms of price/performance it is clearly 1st. The G36 was already a solid budget weapon last wipe. Not as good as an M4 but easy to control and far cheaper than the MDR, which is immensely overpriced, especially at the beginning of the wipe.That's why I don't think that anything had to be fixed on the weapon. Even if the new recoil has made the weapon even easier to control. But that was the case with all weapons in the end I've always liked the MCX. In my first wipes you could buy the 300 AP very early on which made her an absolute monster in close combat. And last wipe with the addition of the CBJ, the gun was my go-to gun when nothing was working anymore. Good ammunition in large quantities, at cheap prices. A fairly inexpensive weapon, etc. The fact that the Recoil has now become so much better this wipe makes the MCX one of my absolute favorite weapons. From my point of view, it is technically one of the best weapons for the price and performance and, thanks to the M855A1, which is quite difficult/expensive to reach, is usually superior to the 556 caliber. Yes, the 762x39 can keep up with the gun in terms of punch. But the higher rate of fire ensures that the MCX is clearly superior to the AKM/AKMN, AK-103 and even the RD and MK47 in close combat. Edit: In my opinion, there are also two and a half weapons that have been somewhat overlooked since the new wipe. The first is somewhat controversial and so called half. Many will not have taken it that way, but the black MDR has lost enormously to the MK17 since its introduction. Worse recoil, far too expensive, etc. but this wipe the black MDR may still be expensive. But the gun feels so much better, especially thanks to the new 25 magazines. The weapon is nice and short, easy to control and you can operate much better with 25 shots than with 20. So its an extremly strong AR with 762x51. The second weapon that I think is overlooked is the SA-58. Once a real monster with 50 mags with M61, over time it became largely forgotten and was more of a meme weapon. But even the short SA can be played with really good control with a good silencer or muzzle. It may not be as easy to control as an MP5, but the bullets it shoots hit like a truck and it is controllable enough that it has become a serious weapon again. The third weapon is the ASH-12. You can now buy the PS12B again and what's more, the weapon is scary easy to control for its caliber and crazy cheap. The weapon costs between 40-50k rubles depending on which barter you use. If you think about which grip and scope you buy, you'll usually stay under 120k for this weapon. Only the magazines are still extremely expensive. But the weapon is simply brutal and surprisingly controllable even in full auto.

I die, try to see what I could've done better while loading up the next kit, and hop into the next raid. 50% survival rate means 1 out of every 2 raids is going to suck. Oh well. Learn to make rubles from scav runs and losing a nice kit won't hurt so much.

i play 556 mdr alot and love it. its straight forward and you dont have to mod it at all (tbh there is not much to mod). especially the high ergo make it good in my opinion for an early game gun. i run it with a 100mag (with bad ammunition), surpressor and foregrip thats all. If i dont play MDR i play AUG A3 with surpressor. Im glad that i dont have to play AKSU till level 30 or so
I just recently got the idea that an MDR with the 100-rd mag and a 30rd spare might be a cool idea. I figured I'd give it a try, but I died after firing two shots which both missed. Cool to see that I was actually onto something, though.

The PP-19 is my goto budget this wipe. With the way the armor is now it’s much easier to kill with something as low as green tracers. Also the new recoil make this gun close to laser on semi auto.
this wipe i either need to put as many bullet out asap or one to the head, pen doenst work for me at all. i cant pen lvl 3 armor with ap-20. i cant pen a lvl 4 achhc with .300cbj. as long as there is just 1% chance not to pen, i dont pen. so five seven, any sniper with 762x54r BT or sr-2m with 7u4 or bt doesnt matter as long as you can pen lvl 2 soft armor. m9, m7 also working fine. in theory shotguns with slug should work perfect but i cant hit headshot because i shoot the chest by reflex XD so (not killed a single player with a shotgun unless i headshot by accident)
I have used the mcx since before they updated recoil and by far on this wipe is one of my favorite guns, you can buy them for 50k in the flea and beam people on the legs arms, and the time to kill is low because of the 90 damage of whisper. People don't pick it up because they don't like the gun so you have a good chance to get it back.
just small feedback for you- when wearing headphones your mic volume varies a lot depending on how far your face is from the mic. idk what you can do about that but i thought you should know. it is difficult to listen to. i like your content otherwise.
Why is using a one hundred round mag insane ? I do it a lot with high fire rate like mcx or g36. It's fire. Wipe a 3 man without knowing it's a 3 man xD

The AUG A1 is THE grab and go gun. Great ergos and recoil, already has a pretty decent optic, backup irons are surprisingly usable. Just load up your mags (with the preset, ezpz) and go into raid. AUGA3 is if I want to be gucci, add a dot on top and a light and now it's a chad gun with it's faster reload time.
Actually SR-2M was nerfed by ammo. BT round lost 6 pen and 16 damage but you can buy it at Prapor's crown. 7U4 too slow and 28 pen not good. So earlier you can craft BT ammo at hideout and BT was like .45 AP - kills very quickly with 38 pen and 64! damage. Now BT nerfed and cost 2times more than AP 6.3 with same effectivness and idk where to find 3N42 for it with old BT stats. PS ammo absolute garbage. SR-2M recoil before patch was quite easy, all SMG except MP9 had weak recoil in 0.13.
Bonus DONT SLEEP ON PISTOLS. I've had more fun this wipe just running pistols or quick swapping to it and taking out duos/trios with some pistol action. The recoil really makes them shine
ngl im been grinding the aug a1 barter from mechanic 2 i think it is. that barter saved me so much money its 2 spark plugs and 2 electric components which is basiclaly 40k roubles and i dont mod it at all i craft SOST and i been doing secure perimeter quest done in 2 raids with this lovely cheap 5.56

Shrimp smg and mcx have always been two of my favorite guns. Even though they were pretty bad they're both mad cool so I'd use em just because. NOW. Ohmuhlurd theyre fantastic I highly recommend as well

The MP9-N with AP6.3 absolutely slaps. So so cheap. I use it as a secondary when doing my bolt action tasks.

Started using the AUG this past weekend for the first time and it feels amazing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
SKS with the UAS chassis got massively buffed with half of the recoil it used to have, and its so reliable, costing a total of approximately 100k.
Surpised to not see the FAL here, that went from straight garbage to one of the best guns in the game now.

My boy did right by the Aug. The Aug A1 is the true T1 blaster, 80k for a full gun with good recoil, sights, and full auto 5.56 💪

The AS VAL and VSS use to feel horrible full auto but not so much anymore. You can actually shoot either scoped in full auto now.

The AUG A1 is THE grab and go gun. Great ergos and recoil, already has a pretty decent optic, backup irons are surprisingly usable. Just load up your mags (with the preset, ezpz) and go into raid. AUGA3 is if I want to be gucci, add a dot on top and a light and now it's a chad gun with it's faster reload time.
Tac30 mp9 goes crazy
Actually SR-2M was nerfed by ammo. BT round lost 6 pen and 16 damage but you can buy it at Prapor's crown. 7U4 too slow and 28 pen not good. So earlier you can craft BT ammo at hideout and BT was like .45 AP - kills very quickly with 38 pen and 64! damage. Now BT nerfed and cost 2times more than AP 6.3 with same effectivness and idk where to find 3N42 for it with old BT stats. PS ammo absolute garbage. SR-2M recoil before patch was quite easy, all SMG except MP9 had weak recoil in 0.13.
Bonus DONT SLEEP ON PISTOLS. I've had more fun this wipe just running pistols or quick swapping to it and taking out duos/trios with some pistol action. The recoil really makes them shine
ngl im been grinding the aug a1 barter from mechanic 2 i think it is. that barter saved me so much money its 2 spark plugs and 2 electric components which is basiclaly 40k roubles and i dont mod it at all i craft SOST and i been doing secure perimeter quest done in 2 raids with this lovely cheap 5.56

Been using SOST since i could get ahold of it on flea and honestly it has been shredding PMCs so far. 5.56 non-meta is once again usable

any particular reason for AugA1 instead of A3?
I believe you can take the big integrated sight off the A1 so you can put whatever optics you want and can’t with the A3
@ethanfisher9968 no, the a3 you can just take off the sight like you described, with the a1 you need to swap the upper reciever to an a3 upper in order to put on low sight

Shrimp smg and mcx have always been two of my favorite guns. Even though they were pretty bad they're both mad cool so I'd use em just because. NOW. Ohmuhlurd theyre fantastic I highly recommend as well
