    Ironically, my family is Swedish and a long line of hoarders. I wish my parents could embrace this concept. My father has a full compulsion of feeling guilt getting rid of anything that has a connection to family members that are gone now, like his parents. These things aren't the nice things, but like old notebooks with scraps and newspaper clippings or receipt books. He is actually swimming in duplicate photos, cards, or linens.
