Tomlinson actually put on a masterclass of how to deal with a manager who thinks he knows something he doesnt after he was ejected but then Tomlinson didnt escalate and cause Schnider to have a heart attack on the field. Protecting a managers heart, one ejection at a time.

Not much time left this season, will miss regular videos from you on baseball, Lindsay. Will we see much of other sports in the offseason? I imagine you may be busy with the organist gig.
When the manager is watching from the dugout steps, what TV is he watching? This channel used to admit that for high/low calls, the dugouts have a great view of them..
when are they going to learn... that box up/down is so inaccurate... most players throwing with their offhand are just as accurate... (well, Venditte probably moreso)... I still think MLB needs to lose that box.
I think baseball in general needs to move away from a strike zone that changes from batter to batter depending on height and stance. Two batters with the same height will have different strike zones because they have different stances. This is just dumb.. At most, modulate the strike zone according to height only... But baseball is full of these dumb rules that only serve to cause controversy...
It's been worse, to be honest. And I'm pretty sure that he'll have a lot of time after the season to do those checks. Hopefully Atkins will also have a lot of time on his hands.
I forget, if he had called it a strike was it within the margin of error? Was this a can't get it wrong pitch? I paused at 0:23 and that is so damn confusing. The box that shows it a ball on the right has the strike zone start at the top of the knee. The middle box shows it a ball touching the line. and ??? Confusing
AAA is too good for Schneider. But there's nothing wrong with the head tap. Umpires concerned about being shown up are soft af, and to care about it after he's already been tossed? 10 ply.

This is a great take I'm astounded I've never heard before
Anyone else agree another horrible umpire finally retired Larry Vanover was as all umpires are terrible
Sit Down John. The guys calls a good game
Dan Shulman with a very Canadian description of things right at the end of this video XD
Congrats to Larry Vanover for an excellent career. 3,384 games, 7 postseason assignments, a World Series, and most fans still don't know who he is.
And he was one of the ones who protest resigned in 1999
I join you congratulating Larry on a job well done.

If people don’t know who an umpire is, chances are that they are/were good at their job.
@@charlier0612 not true at all. Doug Harvey was a legend and the players called him “ God.” He was an excellent umpire known by many.
So, just to be sure, Lin. The Ball/Strike Challenge system used in AAA would use the same data as post game processing?
Wow, Larry’s retiring. Been a long time. You’ll be missed 🫡
Great job by the Umpire
I love me some neutral references
Can someone please explain to me who is teaching MLB catchers to pull pitches. It’s asinine
Larry is a great person who is going to be missed and I hope that he can end his career with a WS Assignment!

Futurama is ALWAYS a winner.
John Schneider's just a good old boy...

Kif’s sigh at 1:36 does feel like it sums up Lindsay’s feelings on seeing yet another ejection based on the real time zone

@@fnstylego to the whiffle ball strike zone!
The only thing I enjoyed in this game was watching this sausage get ejected. He's done nothing but harm this club
Schneider's face looked very red, maybe he should get his blood pressure checked.
he always turns red lol.

A missed opportunity to use the coin sound when she said "a run for their money:
Thank god Larry is retiring. He sucks

Tapping your head is not a good look. Triple A is where the manager belongs.

That’s the triple a challenge sign. You should know this, Little Ray.
