I went in to fetch my elderly parents from their home in the area no one went to early morning because the flooding was severe. My mom and her husband are over 80 years of age. They were safe but stranded due to the area being almost inaccessible. I wish I could forward a video of what it actually looks like after the fact.
I was in the area all day, because I have family and friends in there. The issue should be thoroughly investigation The dams condition was reported several times times to the powers that be. It's been a concern for a while. Dpeak to the locals not just the officials cos they don't have all the proper information.
Community of Riverlands saw this coming but the Municipality didn't take it seriously I live in Riverlands and I blame the Municipality for this disaster
Chatsworth have 5 dam and riverlands have 3... update is not given to the community.. if we out of danger no one is going to sleep thinking waking up in water? or must we prepare for the worst?
If the 3rd dam bursts what is going to happen how are we going to know when to evacuate will they warn us in time And what about the places close to riverlands and the 3rd dam like Chatsworth

Water bailiffs are appointed to monitor the releasing of water from dams. What happened here?
What about the farm owner ?
Most of the farm owners has left this are because of rampant crime.
