Welcome to Colorado! I hope you make it over to the Western Slope and see the Colorado National Monument and the hot springs. I moved to Colorado from the Midwest over 25 years ago. Here are some things I learned: Colorado is dry, so make sure you stay hydrated, and keep extra water on hand. Protect yourself from the sun, it can be deceiving. Because of the higher elevation it can beat down on you without you realizing it. Wide brimmed hat! As for the weather, we’ll all I can say is: It’s Colorado, just wait 5 minutes for it to change. 😂 Hope you enjoy your time here! Love watching your videos.

For the summer you might want to get some electrolyte suckers or powder. They take up less space and are easy to carry on hikes and bike rides. I think there’s a gum option as well. Traveling around you never really know what the environment will throw at you. Plus if you ever get sick you will need to be prepared to care for yourself in place if necessary ❤

Hi Nomi! I’m born and raised in Denver, Colorado, lived here all 32 years and when I got to other low altitude or sea level states, I feel amazing! Can walk longer, faster, it’s great. I cannot get drunk though as well at sea level. That being said, if you have some drinks here, be careful, it will hit! 😂 Enjoy all the great sites, and if visiting Denver, lots of great festivals and fun coming up soon! Fun all over the state, welcome! 🙋🏾‍♀️

Take all the time you need before advancing on higher up. Then you have to be extra careful when coming down the mountains. Always take a check of your brakes. It's just so nice seeing you finally are enjoying everything. Be safe and God Bless 🙌 🙏 ❤ safe travels my friend.

Glad you’re enjoying CO. You may want to consider getting some wool hiking socks. They are breathable, wick moisture, help with temperature & sweating (even in warm temps), have antimicrobial properties, and they can help reduce the likelihood of blisters from rubbing. I enjoy the SmartWool brand (I only purchase when they have a sale) but REI, Dick’s, DSW, and maybe even Walmart all carry wool socks. As for your pants, getting some that are lightweight w/ moisture wicking properties might be helpful, too. No rush on any of this, though. The important thing is that you’re enjoying outdoors. The more you explore, the more you’ll intuitively get a sense of what additional accessories/supplies might aid your experience.

There is a meme going around on FB with a clever idea -- wrap some black tape around certain parts of your cable when you're plugged in at a campsite that has electricity, to make the cord look as if it has been repaired. It deters thieves, who won't usually bother to steal what they will assume is a tattered and damaged cord.

Wow .. 9000 is pretty dang high! Maybe stay under 7000 so you can enjoy the cool weather but not have all the other symptoms. Taos and Santa Fe NM are around 6500-7000 and most people have no symptoms. It seems to me you have gone too high too fast. And then to expect to hike or exercise of any kind is too much amiga. You don’t need to go SO hard! You went from basically sea level in Florida to 9000 above the tree line. That’s too much 😢

Nomi, you are so funny. You are not really into the mountains yet. If you get a chance go up to Glenwood Springs. It’s in the mountains in a canyon. So beautiful. I love CO. It is good that you are adjusting your body to the altitude.

I stayed in Colorado for 6 months as a traveling CRNA. I had constant pressure headaches and nose bleeds for the first 2 months. I love that state but was miserable due to the altitude.
Nomi you’ve lost a lot of weight..You look great!

So many great places in Colorado. Aspen is beautiful. Estes Park was fun to camp at by a little river. The Stanley Hotel is there.
Denver is awesome. So many great places to eat. And the stuff to see & do is limitless!
Btw- you reminded me of my ex MIL. She was awesome. She cooked everything from scrambled eggs to Bulogi with chopsticks

Welcome to Colorado how are you enjoying our rain, it has been intense this year. If you don't like the weather wait an hour and it will change! Drink lots of water, sunscreen (even if it's overcast because you are a lot closer to the sun) and keep a warm jacket with you because our weather changes constantly. If you make it to Colorado springs make sure you see garden of the gods, and manitou springs.

Nomi, if the “ off feeling of your breathing” can be a blood clot so if it continue please get that checked! For the most part it seems like you can carry a conversation but if you can’t be safe than sorry. I am watching because my husband and I will be going from TX to Washington in our travel trailer.

If you end up wintering in VA - if you make your way to the beautiful mountains of VA I am in a small town called Orange. We all need human interaction so - I would be happy to show you my small town and do a lunch one day. I think that would be fun cause it looks like you love the food adventure as much as I do.

In Montana, we are 4500 feet above. I don't really notice when I go to lower places. Seems the same to me 😊

Lol 😂 I was like "She's Sad" scraping every last noodle & looking 👀 for more but you haven't said it in a while & I was thinking if I write something maybe only your 1st 500 subscribers will get it. Anyway moved from Illinois to Texas & we seriously talked about leaving the heat for the first 10 years we were here. I would say I guess our bloods thinned out & we can some how take it now idk. I guess Florida was bad that way as well for you. Colorado is so vast I have seen the lower half of Colorado but not the Garden of the God's yet definitely a beautiful state. The Pueblo Indian park is nice "Mesa Verde" if you like sociology & history it's a pretty cool place. Stay safe out there young lady 🙏 & thanks for sharing 💕
