There’s gotta be some kind of buy-in that’s how this shit always works when it becomes too saturated. Kick is an obvious culprit and the video game industry too but it might be bigger than that. It’s weird how some influencers on TikTok getting like White House briefings and shit that’s a huge red flag they obviously have to control the internet and it’s impossible to obtain and organic following on most of these apps now you can’t even search for content without recommended videos showing up halfway down the page. There should be an advanced search mechanism on all of these platforms but there isn’t on any of them. They’re trying to make it as similar to television as possible and it’s working. People love having slop shoved down their throat. And because of all that I’m suspicious of anyone who’s famous nowadays even sketch but at least he’s fucking entertaining like idk if it’s just the bottom of the barrel or it’s part of the psyop to lower the bar of what’s considered entertainment but it’s fucking insane to me the amount of viewers that some of these people get. I don’t actually think it’s some huge conspiracy but I do think there are converging interests for a lot of these companies and power structures to control what we watch on the internet and it functions very similarly to how the music industry does especially with the streaming services cuz the drop off from famous streamers to average viewers rates is huge. I just hope there’s a version of the internet in the future that maintains all of the things that used to make the internet great and incorporates all of the new technological advancements like algorithms and ai to actually make the population smarter and more connected and gives everyone a voice and a place in history as well as a way to actually curate the content they watch cuz right now the algorithm basically just searches the hashtags on the videos you like and fills your feed with the results. I could fucking do that and I have a feeling they have much more advanced technology but they want everyone to stay in the fold so they don’t give them access to the tools to actually find new things. I mean think about it how many websites do you actually use? Like 3? There’s millions of fucking websites that no one knows about cuz google only gives you what it’s paid to give you and idk maybe it’s wishful thinking but I hope one day that will change.
