3:57 Me: *struggles to get an encounter with duna* Hazardish: *instantly gets an assist maneuver from jool straight from orbit no strategy required at all*
Jool is by far the easiest planet to get an encounter with, you can literally aim for Dina, blow way past it, and you’ll encounter jool, every time, no maneuver needed
Hi! I'm new to KSP and was wondering what mod you used to get into orbit and how you created such an encounter with jool so easily... Mods or magical video-editing?
SlimesWithBowties Hi :) To get the rocket into orbit I used Hyperedit. It is capable of doing so by itself but I used hyperedit to ensure that more parts were involved in the final crash to illustrate the point. As for the Jool encounter, I just planned it before recording :P.
An epic *blast* from the past! Great video Hazard-ish :D Ive got 2 thumbs, but can only give one of them to you, come on youtube, get your shit together! This deserves more thumbs up!
Scott Manley had this series called Interstellar quest, with lots of mods including FAR. Once he was de-orbiting a shuttle, and since it had a lot of glide factor, it was slow and boring. He decided to timewarp 4x, but as soon as he hit the soup-a-sphere (the thick atmo under 10 km) in timewarp, the shuttle exploded instantly, the pod surviving but the Kerbals dying of too much G (he had TAC Life Support, too). That was the closest I saw to this "brick atmosphere" phenomeon.
I am actually a big fan of Scott's 'interstellar quest' and it was that moment that inspired me to make this video! I've only just got round to doing it :P
Remembers me of the time I wanted to go to eve in less than 2 weeks, used hacks and an aerobrake that goes to 5km asl. I didn't even saw the explosion, all what was left of my craft was the okto 2 and a wing that seemed to go about the tenth of light speed.
I had a lot of fun with this when I strapped a bunch of super engines to my plane and control surfaces - hard turned at full speed and ripped myself apart
Pulsarus Kerman Haha, sorry for such a late reply! Sadly, after both of the attempts you see in the video the G-meter doesn't register the forces endured. If you look at the navball you will notice that the needle on the G-force indicator maxes out for quite a while due to the extreme deceleration but the game didn't display any G in the F3 screen. I tried replicating the same thing after making this video using a mod to slow down the game engine dramatically where the game had enough time to register it and it said approximately 230Gs... although it fluctuated a lot with multiple attempts!
Me too. my friend still has some of his. i remember everyone of the boys in my class used to play with those. The girls, for some stupid reason, even after telling them 50 million times what they were called, they would call them bleyblades -.-
I smiled when he made that comment. I remember the days when they used to have competitions in school lunch . Teachers actually let the kids bring them in at lunch and have little tournaments. Kids would bet anything from their cookie to their whole lunch (betting your lunch made you a badass, apparently) and whoever won would usually go "I'll let you keep your lunch/cookie." and hope the girls thought he was cool. It was a fun time.
Once I was using the star systems mod and planet factory. After getting to Dolas, as I ended up crashing into Kaiser at 25.5 km/s, but at a shallower angel so nothing broke.
I actually find the old kerbin to be better in some ways. -More interesting trees and such -More interesting geography, note the pools of water north of KSC -More interesting colours imo, makes it feel more 'Alien' And while im at it, I did somewhat like the fuel tanks design a bit more, am I the only one that sees a bit of Dr.Robotnik/eggman design in them? Reminds me of SA1.
There are two types of people in KSP, well, three, but two mainly popular ones. The destroyers, channel consists of inflicting as much pain as they can on kerbals, destroying worlds and screwing with the physics engine. Then there are the scientists, testing the physics engine to see if it is realistic and they usually don't mess with save files! "Usually" The third type is the middle ground, they do the career mode and don't exploit much!
I suspect that in 0.90 the ship exploded not because of hitting the "brick wall" but because of one ship part hitted another part. So with small part count or with many struts explosion may not happen. PS: Sorry for my incorrect use of tenses in English and maybe some other mistakes :)
one time i got 200G while flying a jet near a relay on kerbin on 1.2 pre release. no idea how, i dont remember doing a maneuver which would cause so many gees
Hey hazardish! Making the vehicle stop at that speed with chutes makes hella lot more gee force... for it not to be destroyed? Try making the vehicle invincible... and use a lot of chutes... you will need it
+The Stitch Someone said the same thing before so here's my response :) "Sadly, after both of the attempts you see in the video the G-meter doesn't register the forces endured. Hazardish: *instantly gets an assist maneuver from jool straight from orbit no strategy required at all*
To be fair, he was at a transfer window to Jool
Same
I don't get how people can struggle with getting encounters. Just fiddling with the maneuver node gets it eventually
Jool has a massive SOI
Jool is by far the easiest planet to get an encounter with, you can literally aim for Dina, blow way past it, and you’ll encounter jool, every time, no maneuver needed
2:54 i love how the g force dial goes off the edge and goes over the sas toggle button for a sec there
i did some math. you know the 411g thing. the average american would weigh approximatly 33,702kg in that brief instant.
Nice! Thankfully Kerbals are impervious to actual G-force stress otherwise that capsule would be coated with guacamole :P
+Hazard-ish very true. thank you for replying :D.
+Revampedharpy09 uhhh Houston we have a problem
The average American already weighs 33,702 kilograms
McAkkeezz ohhhhhhh burn xD
legends say the circular thing is still spinning...

Danny would be proud...
Jacob Gullick What if I told you Danny is Scott Manley
I would be "ow my scot"
GamerGab007 Naw
Jacob Gullick Danny is actually pretty good at the game but hardish is a freaking veteran.
what?
Bill: *Laughing*
I forgot a parachute!
Bill: *face changes to pure terror*
How dare the engines survive! They're built to explode when you least want them to!
i follow this game since 0.13 version... dude, the game grew up so much fast,i'm glad and hyped for the game.
Wow, thanks everyone - 800 subscribers!

Hazard-ish Great, thanks for answering!
Hazard-ish
why are you in ksp 0.0.6or 8
Sure!
hahaha beyblade!! I had completely forgotten about those! Great vid btw, I liked how the the rocket started bending before it exploded in .90
Five... years.... later.... this is in my recommended
i don't know how this started but it seems every video of old KSP used at least one OC ReMix song
man, i remember those palm trees, they were epic
I love the fact that the old capsule had a Delorean hubcap on its bottom
An epic *blast* from the past! Great video Hazard-ish :D
Ive got 2 thumbs, but can only give one of them to you, come on youtube, get your shit together! This deserves more thumbs up!

every single time i timewarp in the higher darkblue section of the atmosphere with FAR my plane disintegrates, FAR doesnt like timewarping.
At least you have to do time warp for that to happen. It always happens to me with FAR, even without timewarp!
I so need to try this in modern KSP
Remembers me of the time I wanted to go to eve in less than 2 weeks, used hacks and an aerobrake that goes to 5km asl. I didn't even saw the explosion, all what was left of my craft was the okto 2 and a wing that seemed to go about the tenth of light speed.
+Fourth of a dwarf yeah, thats about it.
3:21 Bill: Wait, what did you say, Hazard-ish? Our parachute’s gone?! (screams the whole way down)
It's awesome how much get KSP changed. (In good way, off course).
Back when Jeb never stopped smiling. Ever.
Casually goes on a 32 year mission to hit the planet at 22 km/s
Oh my god... the old versions from KSP ^^ Great video m8 :D
Ah yes, that reminds me of the first jool probe I sent that died in Laythe's high atmosphere.
Should have made a Delororian replica for the going back in time bit and made it do the flame trail thingy
3:20
Thanks for scaring me :c
+Bill Kerman 0.0
BILL!!!!!!! CAN YOU GET JEB TO SIGN MY AUTOGRAPH???
Bill Kerman pfff hahaha
Ah, Plok Title Jam: the retro KSP anthem... what, it isn't? Shut up, nobody disobeys Danny2462.
i love the noise it makes when it explodes
411.6 G-force would be ripping atoms apart..
nah not yet, gravity experienced on neutron stars is thousands of G’s... they don’t exactly rip themselves apart
Bill and bob were delirious from the mass amount of Gs
I had a lot of fun with this when I strapped a bunch of super engines to my plane and control surfaces - hard turned at full speed and ripped myself apart
How many Gs did you pull in 0.90?
Pulsarus Kerman Haha, sorry for such a late reply! Sadly, after both of the attempts you see in the video the G-meter doesn't register the forces endured. that sounds uh
You are our new Danny my dude I hope you reach 500k this year
Hazard-Ish: Opens old ksp
Me: Ah shit, here we go again
This is the second video of yours I've watched. You have a new sub. Well done haha
Even though I didn't have the game back then, I somehow miss those palm trees.
1:48
He was forshadowing his tilt-wing SSTO video
*snort*
(I still love ya hazard)
The oldest version of the KSP center looks like a bootleg Minecraft lol.
Who here knows what a beyblade is?
I do, they are the little spinning things right? I used to have them when I was a kid.
Me too. my friend still has some of his. i remember everyone of the boys in my class used to play with those. The girls, for some stupid reason, even after telling them 50 million times what they were called, they would call them bleyblades -.-
Everybody used to call them bleybleyXD

ME, I HAD A SET OF THEM
so how much G did they experience in 0.90?
too much to be registered, as stated
You should team up with Danny e.e
omg that needs to happen. i mean the kerbals probably wouldnt like it but who cares.
That would be really awesome! Rocket Science Expert + Lord Kraken
***** Bill: OMG EVERYONE RUN!!!
Universal blue screen of death (universe destroyed and the kraken escapes )
TamKourt13 no the universe can’t handle it it will just get torn apart worse then what happens when your edit the drag.
idk why but the old VAB and the way the old KSC looked like reminds me alot about KSP2
Was messing around in hyperedit the other day and got 2 trillion g’s. Had some.... interesting results
Hyperedit, the tool that can break spacetime.
Gosh I have 1.2.2 never knew it looked like that in the early KSP
Thanks for showing me 0.10
Loving the Danny music
i have ksp too, man, these good old times ☺
Always loved classic panic bill.
Rocket explodes around them? Smiles for everyone. That's the type of can-do attitude we need from our Martian candidates.
the water loooks kinda nice
That was insanely entertaining. Thank you
Thank YOU for watching! :)
I thought "oh not again" was a reference to the guide tomthe galaxy
Once I was using the star systems mod and planet factory. After getting to Dolas, as I ended up crashing into Kaiser at 25.5 km/s, but at a shallower angel so nothing broke.
do loooong ago, i was like what?
hazardish turned out to be a a non psychopathic version of Danny
So that's how he learned to edit thrust levels.
4:00 thanks for puting this mario bros. song
Not mario
Did you notice when bill and bob were screaming, jeb was smiling
6:28 A breakdancing SAS unit!
i LOOOVE the music ☺
I actually find the old kerbin to be better in some ways.
-More interesting trees and such
-More interesting geography, note the pools of water north of KSC
-More interesting colours imo, makes it feel more 'Alien'
And while im at it, I did somewhat like the fuel tanks design a bit more, am I the only one that sees a bit of Dr.Robotnik/eggman design in them? Reminds me of SA1.
so what was the G in the second attempt?
411 G
@@aviet8520 that was the g in the first attempt
hazard said that it was impossible to get the g force right in the comment above (reply section)
5:56 - Watch at 0.25 speed, he starts burning at 100k, enters kerbin so fast that he starts burning before he hits the atmosphere...
Should be on Video Wednesdays on the Forums

I am in the scientist category
yay finally a new video!
If all goes to plan, there shouldn't be too much of wait until the next one too :)
Hazard-ish nice! I love your channel dude!
man..... perfect opportunity to use that song that goes "we need to go back..back...back...back"
the one fucking iDubbz used for content cop....
I barely recognize the early versions as Ksp.
Damn this 22000km/h reentry is so satisfying
Ngl i kinda like that little lake near the vab
My screen literally broke watching this video.
Dude nice! 22,000 ms thats nuts!!!!

If there was no time warp in ksp this would be you -->
once i was making kerbal spagheti, and the kerbal shot out of the kerbol system at like 10000 m/s, and got like 3000 g's
"Hello engines!" totally destroed me :-D :-D LOL :-D
Hey hazardish! Making the vehicle stop at that speed with chutes makes hella lot more gee force... for it not to be destroyed? Try making the vehicle invincible... and use a lot of chutes... you will need it
Nexters lab but with a competent CEO
Haz, you forgot to hit f3 to see max gforce at the end.
+The Stitch Someone said the same thing before so here's my response :)

So...you sent a rocket to Jool, got it back at Kerbin, blew it up,and put Jeb,Bill and Bob at life risk...
*_JUST TO CREATE A BEYBLADE?_*
This is like danny2462 after he got on his meds and went through therapy.
be there or be square, this rocket didnt arrive in time
3:14 KIA motor always the best
I just realised this was the original KSP version anyways
In 1.1.4 all Kerbals have their own parachutes.
he was playing in an old version, and basically everybody that plays the game knows that
also its not 1.1.4 its 1.4 fyi
4:15 - Just use WarpUnlocker
2:55 oh sound sooooooooo epic
This is just amazing XD
when you fall stand straight and fire engines to slow down
That’s some “ G’s “ you have there, Lol
5:36 were those rings going at like a bagillion rpm?
Ha! Is the bottom of the capsule in 0.10 really a Delorean wheel?
0:06
wow, old ksp
It rewind time
How do u actually go into orbit that quick please tell me I have been using and i want to try stuff like you but I can never understand how
hyperedit ftw (its a mod)
What was the g force on the last launch I'm on the edge of my seat
Sorry, I've just seen this! Sadly, after both of the attempts you see in the video the G-meter doesn't register the forces endured. 4:12 wait that’s Danny’s music
15 year olds: Isn’t it Juul? You misspelled Juul. You spelled “Jool.”
