  • This is the end of the two hour, one on one training session with Lauren on Saturday, 6-15-19. Lauren has come a long way. Now, all we need is consistency. We'll work on that next. Don't forget to subscribe to my channel as we'll be putting up the 6-16-19 class this week. For more information on our classes, dvds, downloads, book and thumb-drive, www.ridelikeapro.com

    Lauren, major accomplishment - you are one badass woman! Jerry, of course you're the best instructor. I know as I took class in 2015 and refresher in 2017. Time for another refresher .

    Love watching these. Really great help for little issues that decade riders could not answer for me because they were already so embedded into their brain they couldn't tell me an answer, because it was just a normal function for them.. I barely got to ride last year, this year hasn't looked great so far, but I am so ready to get back on.. Wind therapy would be amazing right now.

    Great job training her up. I love her attitude and enthusiasm. I believe that's half the battle in learning a new skill...positive attitude. Off topic question, Jerry. What's your opinion on "trail braking"? I've seen other RUclips channels teach trail braking into and out of curves but I've never heard you mention anything about it. This is not a baited question. I'm seriously curious about these other techniques. Thanks.

    I have a 883 Sportster. On a sunny, 90° day, how long should we practice in the friction zone before we should let them cool off. I don't want anything to over heat.

    • @motorman857
      @motorman857  5 лет назад +3

      10 minutes or so, then a breeze out and a cool down for a few minutes.

    I found doing the uturn inside 2 parking spaces is easier on the bikes that are NOT sporty type..... Voyager easier than Versys, 900 Classic easier than 900 custom/Sportster/Stryker........wide glide easier than Sportster........and all these opposite out on curvy roads at speed.......her bike has bags but that's a Scout, probably the hardest slow speed handling bike Indian makes.
    I've been watching and practicing stuff in parking lot on my M90......today went to my brothers, saw he wasn't home, whipped that wide glide around like I knew what I was doing, and I didn't even think about it before just doing it
    Yes watching your videos is good......of course you need to go out and practice a little too

    We need such training in India.

  • @Ubertubermeister
    @Ubertubermeister 4 года назад

    Surprisingly for a small bike, the Indian Scout forks lock short of most bikes creating a terrible turn radius - -forcing rider to make harder lean to stay in tight turns at slow speeds - this horrible turn radius makes it difficult backing into parking let alone a two lane U-turn - My '99 VT1100 Honda is much easier at slow speeds than my '15 Scout

  • @jefftilghman9059
    @jefftilghman9059 5 лет назад

    Why is the Indian harder to maneuver? Longer wheelbase?

    • @motorman857
      @motorman857  5 лет назад

      It depends on which Indian and what you are comparing it to.
