- In this video I show you my Christmas present - a Yellow Inktopus Coozy Case from Rickshaw. The Inktopus is the Ink Journal logo/mascot and I have been collecting and enjoying the yellow pieces for some time now!!! I will show you measurements and a few configurations you can fit into the case -- just a few ideas with coozy's, sleeves, and notebooks. I thought this might be helpful to anyone considering a purchase to be able to "see" the case in action before it gets wrapped in Christmas paper.

Manuel (my husband) bought this case for me and the coozy's. All opinions are strictly mine.
In the video I compare this case to the Nock Sinclair and the Kipling 100 pen cases for size comparison.
Here are the measurements I got of the Cozzy case: 7.5"x5"x2" inches or 19 cmx12.5 cmx5 cm metric. The case is roomy and allows you to configure things inside however you want. These are available in a variety of patterns, colors and custom options. They range from about $39 and up. Mine was $45.
I love how it holds a hard cover pocket notebook or sketch book plus several pens. I love the way it is made from high quality materials and is beautiful too - made in the USA. There's NOTHING I dislike at this point and I don't anticipate anything ... other than "wanting" several more.

Hi pen friends!!! I'm coming in to clean up the odd spam messages and hope to get caught up with responding to your comments soon ... I find I can't be at my desk for very long but my back IS feeling much better and I'm grateful for that. I'm concentrating on healing and of course when I can work - I like to put the desk time toward videos like this for you guys. But I sense I will be back to the "pen desk" soon. I really like items like this. It is colorful but also makes customization simple and modular. Simply put, it couldn’t be smarter.
I didn’t see the appeal of these cases when they first launched but this video is giving me so many ideas!

A sketch kit was exactly what I had in mind! I love my Nock Sinclair for the smallest size Stillman and Birn sketchbook, my Pilot Falcon, a tiny mechanical pencil, a waterbrush and little water color set. This Rickshaw would hold the 4”x6” sketchbooks I have plus the other stuff. Maybe Christmas for me, too! Thanks for the review.
Hi Arlene! Awesome! The hardest part is choosing your design or color combination because there are so many to choose from! I think these Coozy Cases will become classic and a long term fixture in the pen and art communities!!!

Love my gray one.. and too plan on a small Rhodia webnotebook (field notes size) as well as pens in there
Marvelous! I love when everything fits so perfectly into a space. I don’t know if I’d be so patient to let it be wrapped up until December, hehe.
How do you like that Dingbats paper by the way?
@@adventuredenali Hi Alicia - I really love the Dingbats paper and it surprises me a lot since I am not a fan of coated paper and this paper is quite smooth ... but I think it's because I tend to carry a Mach3 gel pen with a nice fine tip on the notebook and I also use my fountain pens in it but I pick and choose .... I hate when paper feels dry and the pen won't glide across it but this paper is pretty good with my broad nib pens and note taking is so different (slower) from letter writing. I have had almost no bleed thru with fountain pens so that is a big plus. :) I hope this helps. I find the covers very nice and textured and the back pocket is like the Leuchtturm ones. I still have to say I favor the Leuchtturm paper even though there are more bleed thru issues because I think fountain pen ink looks better on Leuchtturm. I would definately buy another of these Dingbat notebooks in this pocket and/or A5 if pen allowance allows ... lol. So, it's not like how I feel about Rhodia. :) (Rhodia paper and I don't get along that great.)
Chris Saenz thanks so much for taking the time to share your experiences! All very helpful information. I think for now, I’ll continue on with the Leuchtturm. It serves me well. (Rhodia and I don’t get along well either.)
