Crazy you posted this! I've been messing around with it all day doing this! Download 360 and everything. Love your stuff man. I'm doing this for my outboard engines.

I work with vector files fairly often. Looks like the problem you're running into has to do with the fact that the initial svg file wasn't setup correctly: wherever a hole or "empty" spot is needed in your final output, there needs to be transparency in the artwork-not just a white circle or shape. In vector graphic software, this would require "subtracting" the hole shape, for example, from the surrounding shape. Subtracting the smaller shape from the larger shape basically "cuts it out," leaving transparency behind... which is what the cricut needs to see in order to know what to cut. (I see you got there in the end, subtracting the holes, etc. manually, cool!)

In Cricut design space right click and then select subtract. 2 mouse clicks deleted all the white space for me. Great video bud!

Follow these steps to avoid all the extra faffing about with the layers:
    1. In the Shaper Origin add-in, check the 'Advanced' box and a drop down will appear. Select 'Faces' from the drop down and then select the faces you want to export.
    2. Export the SVG file. The resulting SVG file will be much cleaner.
    3. Upload the SVG file into Cricut Design Space and add it to the canvas. Select the design in the canvas and in the layers pane, select 'Combine -> Exclude'.

If using these in the shop or with shop hands - be careful about getting oils or greases on the cricut mats, since that can impact the ability for material to stick to them

Weird. Usually when I upload a photo it allows me to mask the white space by clicking right after selecting the photo

He is using the Cricut Maker, you could also do it on the Cricut Maker 3.
If you look at 4:20 you will see near the top right where the green 'make it' box is, just to the left is where you see the model of machine.
