  • Packrafting/backpacking for 3 days in Grand Staircase Escalante and Lake Powell. Truly an epic trip. One of the most memorable we've ever had. Between the stunning landscape and great friends to share it with, we're very excited to share this trip our viewers.
Thanks to LAKE POWELL PADDLEBOARDS AND KAYAKS for letting us use their gear! They rent paddleboards, kayaks, mountain bikes, and packrafts! If you would like to do a packrafting trip but don't have the gear, not only can they outfit you with rafts, paddles, and pfds, they will send them to you in the mail!

I did the same loop in 2016 solo adding in Fiftymile, spent 5 days taking my time. I like how you don’t give much away with the video or descriptions. Looks like you had lower lake levels than I did and Powell was 100’ below full pool. Excellent ethics, cool video.

Yeah, we call it Hole in the Head road. Been down it more than a few times. But the payback is worth the "washboard hell" and amazing part of the country. Great vid. Thanks for the hard work.

Randomly came across this as I'm planning a kayak camping trip to Lake Powell. I've done that hike with my son. So cool to see those arches out in the middle of wherever.
    Thanks for the content.

Thanks! I’d like to share locations and routes, however, for trips like this, I don’t want people going out there without the proper skills. I’ve left enough hints in the video for people to be able to figure it out with some decent map skills. All four of us are pro outdoor guides with a lot of experience.

Hi Kate and Jordan, thanks for the great video. I’m looking to plan a pack rafting trip next year to explore the same area in Escalante down the canyon and into lake Powell. I think I know how to get in based on where the arch was in the beginning of your video, but wasn’t sure about the exit point. Great channel and content btw!

That’s epic! Always wanted to do a packraft in Powell. We have a back haul set up by Page, if it doesn’t get closed by the pandemic. No idea how you hauled that much gear through there though. Backpacking gear is enough for me.

How lucky to find your videos on youtube. I am planning to hike to Broken Arrow Arch in Willow Creek Canyon next month coming from the lake. I want to ask you how complicated is that stretch up to the arch? Are there hard obstacles to pass? It must be amazing to live in a place like Page. Thank you very much.

that looked like the arch in Driftwood canyon. did you hike out of that canyon ? never seen water so low if it is. been boating Powell for 38 yrs, yet every trip is new.
have not been out yet, wife is battling the big "C" . God bless you guy's for the love of this incredible land.luv the puppy dog !

God bless you guys as well and wishing the best outcome for you.
We are not sure what canyon we were in as we just looked at a map before our trip and jumped from Willow gulch (the canyon we started in) to the other canyon. Lake Powell's water level continues to drop nearly every year. It's pretty crazy.
      Best wishes to you!
