How does it actually make the adjustments? Other than air pressure you can only change how suspension performs on a typical fork/shock by changing tokens, comp and rebound clicker settings which on a fork are done at either end of the fork . Live Valve cant change tokens and Im guessing it cant change air pressure. so there has to be some kind of kinetic action powered by electricity to physically change LSC LSR and possibly HSC HSR or live valve equivalent. Im intrigued to know.
The initial cost will put me off the product. Then there is serviceability, can I still do a lower leg service and the like. After the inevitable crash can I change out any damaged wires or parts? Im still a sceptic.
How well does it's ability to be customized to riders preference work. Do you feel that it adapts faster and more seamlessly than automatic power modes of the various ebike motors? Can you turn it off and just run it on the manual setting if you desire or there is a senser failure?
Another thing the manufacturers are using to get even more money out of us... most riders don't have the capability or ride at 100% to really make this a value-for-money thing... gimmicks for most, and just adding cost and complexity to what is basically two triangles holding a couple of wheels together with a seat and some way to make it turn and stop... soon, houses will be cheaper than some of these E-MTB's... they are already more expensive than cars...
Finally! Waited for a long time for beloved special effect from action movies to get to an RUclips channel.... Shaky cam is now everywhere O yes, live valve, nice for competitive riders but the rest of us not so much
Does the fox live valve app enables you to adjust low and high speed compression, and as well for rebound ? And if so, does it give you some feedback / telemetry data after your ride that could help you fine tune your suspension setup ?
The bike looks interesting to me as a first emtb. I have been reading, however, that the bike is too low in the front end and has some flex in the frame. Anyone confirm? I am a…ahem…heavier rider.
@@tomhuber5372 I'm a 100kg body builder and I ride the heavier version of this bike and I ride pretty aggressive and havent had any issues . It may be a good idea to look at the the reign e if you ride really hard all the time at that weight .
When electronic suspension can scan the trail ahead of you and change, just as you are hitting the feature itself that I’m in. Until then it’s just a bunch of wasted money.
Guys, honestly, since when did EMBN became an infomercial channel? There's still some nice stuff here but in the majority of videos it's almost impossible to distinguish between objective testing, opinions and marketing claims. Quite a sad development, I'm outta here.
Why oh why oh why has it taken Soooooo loooooong to become available? Can it be purchased as an up grade? (….and does it drop the seat when you stop? And if not why not? 😅 ) seriously though, I’ve waited ages to look at remote lock outs or something like this. Cost v usefulness, I suspect a wireless remote lockout rear shock would do for me, just to save reaching down and toggling the inaccessible little lever
What is the difference between this Giant Full Power you can tune down and all other Full Power you can tune down through your APP. And why the point of EP8 RS at 60Nm, when you can set your own energy-sucking end goals and have the option of one or more range extenders in the backpack and still have a SL Full Power emtb. Constant climbing and descent means that the days are numbered for the few emtbs that are left for "normal" cycling, as the seat tube angle has become so steep that with the saddle moved back at the rear is not enough to feel at home on the bike. Look at POLE bikes with 80° Seat Tube Angle and flat fork angle that lose a large part of their "normal" MTB function😳. It seems that if you want a long suspension emtb for "normal" purposes, you have to rebuild a Trail version😘
Some people are saying it’s too complicated. But like most things that look complicated, there may be a little time in getting it setup. But once you get it done, it’s less complicated to use than current suspension with no having to remember to lock out or decide how to set your suspension up for a particular part of a ride.
are all you normies enjoying the Western Branded Marketing Machine? otherwise known as embn.. ps- I haven't watched.. I just look at their headings! haha
@@tomhuber5372 who the feck are u? I build my own bikes thanks very much.. for a realistic cost! And if u can read? I don’t watch this BS.. I just read the heading and it’s a free world? So I’ll make my comment.. get over yourself
Sorry EMBN but you have turned this site into an advertising bore. You have lost direction entirely trying to sell gadgets etc. Get back to trail finding, riding and maintenance, otherwise your going to see a slump in viewing figures.
All this "Automatic" means that you do not get any kick from your own achievements, which then does not develop you positively as a cyclist and has only one purpose to compete with others. Ugh, how boring not to learn from your own mistakes😛
Like any innovation,if its retro fitable then yes please,if it involves buying a new bike then no. They also need to plug into the big battery, auto shift and live valve...and wireless between sensors
No thanks, too complicated, means too much to go wrong, means more expensive repairs when they do go wrong, tech is starting to price people out of doing something enjoyable, like riding a bike !
How is this different from the Lapierre Ei system that came out about 10 years ago?
I'm developing a bike that rides itself, so I can just sit and watch TV.

nice footage!!!1
In your future video please discuss service interval and upkeep. Which EMTB available today combine auto suspension, gear shift and ABS?
Are you going to Austria next week to the Festival?
Hey mate, can you fit live valve to the levo?
Didn't Cannondale have something like this years ago, maybe 15 or 20, on their top end Raven bikes?

Do you still need to do a volume spacing set up with live valve, or do the electronics take care of that adjustment.
Warranty on system and cost of replacement parts if crash damage.

We hope for simplier and cheaper bikes under 5K. Please, don't make only superbikes for football players.
Finally!

Shaky cam is now everywhere
O yes, live valve, nice for competitive riders but the rest of us not so much
mimimimi
Does this run off the main battery?
Yes, it is wired up to the main battery. So every time you charge up the bike you also charge the Fox system too.
So it just opens and closes automatically? Sort of like when I flip the compression lever already? Another solution without an existing problem.
very nice and intersting tech. eventhough most of us are probabely fine with some sort of lockout on our suspension....for 1000€ less!
It's making riding bikes boring ,tinkering g with suspension is part of the enjoyment of riding
Nonsense. I don’t come flying down a descent and think “I wish I could have spent 5 hours setting up my low speed compression”
@Tom Huber is that with a few decents in that 5 hours or is that playing with your knob and scratching your head
QUESTION: Can a 2023 FOX FACTORY SHOCKS mount a 29 x 3" Maxxis Holly Roller tyre?
Bike industry: Headset cable routing! Bluetooth connectivity ! , Less cables !!
Also bike industry: More cables !!!!

It's suppose to flex some, how heavy are you exactly?

It literally takes 1 second to lockout my suspension manually. This tech is a total waste of money IMHO.
Shameless commercial for Giant lacking any useful or interesting consumer information.

I'd love to try one out for a few days. Until then, I have no say in it. It would be disingenuous to speak of technology I know nothing about.
My worry is who can mend it when it goes wrong your local bike shop haven’t got or Carnt afford the tools and then the big company will rip you off 👍
