    Another good review of my favorite brand Jarvis... One comment to share, I don't know if you used to do it a lot but there was one review you did a while back where you not only mentioned the "where we bring you all the beautiful guitars" tag line but you also said something like, "Hi, it's your old pal Jarvis" that stuck in my head and I think of it every time I see one of your fantastic videos. You may want to bring it back :) As always, good job and thanks for sharing your review of another fantastic guitar.

    Beautiful playing and guitar, especially the fingerstyle.
    This guitar will definitely cut though the mix, and sound good doing it.
    Way to go Yamaha.
    Worth every penny.
    Perfect professional stage, studio and gig guitar.

    They say the Saddle and Nut are Tusq on the website and everywhere I 've seen. The A3M might have plastic.

    I bought the A5M model about 6 months ago and never looked back. I have owned amercian made acoustics; but for build precision & value for money the Japanese versions in this series are fantastic.

      Hami168 the Japanese take pride in what they don’t. They also don’t charge a lot for what they do though their marketing is relatively conservative as compared to the Americans that hype out every single positive details above and beyond what is necessarily

    I have the Yamaha A5R and absolutely love it.
    In your opinion would the A5M be comparable to the Red Label 5 series?
    BTW always enjoy your enthusiasm and playing after all these years. You are a joy to watch and always look forward to seeing you with your next video. Cheers!

    I played both AC5R and A5R at a store and felt the concert model has better note separation compared to the other larger body. This was playing barre Chords and not open chords.

    Hello, Jarvis! Thanks for one more great review! Between an AC5M and a Yamaha LS-TA or LL-TA, which one would you choose for home studio recording? (Or it would be another guitar at the same price range?) Greetings from Brazil!

    Hi Jarvis, really like your reviews. How would you compare the Yam A5M and the new FG5 soundwise ? Is there a difference?

    • @TheGuitarSpaSingapore
      @TheGuitarSpaSingapore  4 года назад +10

      karl eckardt the A5m is tighter in tone due to the heavy bracing pattern on the top ..focus on the fundamental notes and tone . FG5 red label is short scale so warmer and also the TOP vibrates way much more compared to A5m .. I prefer the FG5 red label and overtime once is slowly opens up .. you will be in for a treat

    Saddle and nut are made of urea recin. IT is a ver good material for tone to. Its not plastic. Is a recin. That is what yamaha use un allmost all the series. Nice guitar. I have a LL16L ROSE WOOD. and it sound amazing.

      Hacia ariba beautiful guitar. I always wondered how a L series sounded with the non scalloped bracing. Made in Japan? I have this guitar but the rosewood. MIJ

    • @TheGuitarSpaSingapore
      @TheGuitarSpaSingapore  4 года назад +1

      Hacia ariba funny thing is they used bone for the FG5 japan made ones and all 26 and above Japan made Yamaha uses bone

    • @TheGuitarSpaSingapore

      nathan jugoz by now your Japanese old non scallop would have opened up a lot and sound matured

      My A5R sounds pretty amazing. But I wish I could have you play it to also give your opinion and throw some of those cool upgrades I see you do to all your guitars. I also play slack key guitar so I was wondering what you would do to improve my sound with the tunings I use

    Hi, at the start of video ...what exactly did you mean by its a couple days old and its "unplayable"... and at the ending you said something ( maybe I misunderstood your words) , "you've toned right the guitar so it sounds really open"..... not understanding what are you saying you did to make it sound more open?........Also how easy is the action on these do you have to press hard up high to get a full ringing chord..... Thank You for making this, I have one on back order. If you could answer, I'd really appreciate.... nice playing also. God Bless.

      I FINALLY just got to play an AC3R in a store in NY.... I have ordered an AC5M but they are back ordered I have to wait. , but I want to ask you. What do you think about the neck shape? I find it a bit too round, kind of annoying I wish it was more of the "D" shape.
      Can I get the neck shaved down flatter ? Or will that ruin the guitar. Thank You.

      fishman loudbox series are great :) i had marshall as100d and swapped for loudbox performer :) marshall's heavier (2x 8" speakers), fishman's lighter but well built and sounding just great :) of course i still think AER compact 60 would be the best (look at Tommy Emmanuel!) but if you don't want spend a fortune - get a 2nd hand AS100D or fishman loudbox series or can get smaller marshall brother - AS50R (tons of great reviews, one speaker so probably lighter too, my friend got one and happy with it) all the best!
