The passenger knee airbag malfunctioned in both the MDB and pole side tests. To quote the 2023 Armada's owner's manual: "If the front passenger seat is not occupied, the passenger air bag and front passenger knee air bag are designed not to inflate in a crash." It's not as dangerous as the passenger airbag inflating, but still, it causes unnecessary damage and could be of some danger to children to deploy the passenger knee airbag for an empty seat. And it's contrary to what's said in the owner's manual. July 19, 2023 8:49 pm
@@waychillbro My grandfather got bruised and sore legs from his knee airbag when he crashed a 2023 Toyota Venza into a tree going about 25 Mph. The drivers airbag broke his wrist and he had a broken rib as well. He is 76 but in the case of a child it could probably cause similar injury, however probably nothing to severe.
@@taskforcekarma6945 There's no doubt that a knee airbag can cause injury to anyone, but the OP said that it's dangerous to kids for the knee airbag in an EMPTY seat to go off. How? It's not contacting anyone.

Honest question: how is it dangerous to a child for a knee airbag in an unoccupied seat to go off?
@@waychillbro It could cause leg injuries. It certainly won’t kill a child, though.

I agree, it is better to have the airbag work than not to work.
Virtually the same thing as Nissan Patrol.
