❗some extra thoughts not mentioned in the video- The timer I have in the video may not make sense since I reset it at the start of each day (except the first day where I accidentally reset it mid-session oop). For the future, I'll use a timer that stores the cumulative time! The combination of cell shading, sentimental soundtrack, and personal ties made WW the ez choice to beat first. OoT I couldn't get past a half hour of playtime, Oracle was too hard, BoTW became overwhelming mid-way. And the rest I haven't touched... This game was hard to beat and a lot of my footage towards the end is me malding (the puzzle broke me). I don't have enough gamer stamina to play past 9 hours per day and felt anxious about pushing this video in a timely manner so there were moments where I didn't enjoy playing as much as I would have liked. However, that doesn't take away from the wave of nostalgic bliss I experienced throughout. I think WW perfectly balances the freedom to explore with a linear story line so you always have an idea of what to do next. The Great Sea, while vast, wasn't expansive enough for me to feel completely lost in. Especially with familiar land marks scattered around. A bonus was that I could always glance at the map to see my location (thanks Wii U version) so there was a sense of security. The characters I didn't get to highlight enough of but the variety of personalities elevated my experience. Spanning from the cozy-hometown Outset islanders to the hard working Rito clan to the privileged Windfall pricks, there are so many magnetic characters that are fun to love/hate. My favorites being bestie Medli and Grammy. Still hate you Tingle. My biggest complaint besides the camera angles (which is a me problem) was that most of the bosses felt underwhelming. For example, both Earth and Wind temples had me fighting for my life with the puzzles just for the climax to simmer as I beat the bosses under 10 minutes. Even Ganon was a bit of a let down since Zelda did most of the work for me. Overall, I highly recommend this as an intro to the series. Especially if you don't have the best hand eye coordination/puzzle solving skills. I love this game so much and hope the quality of this video reflects even an ounce of that love! Thanks for reading and watching 🌞
this is a whole vibe. this was my favorite game of all time just cause it hit exactly right to my young self. the game was so beautiful and expressive. prob my favorite and most cherished gaming experience of my entire life.
