The first place on the left as Lisa walks through the arch at le Mont St Michel is a very famous restaurant/hotel La Mere Poulard which was excellent in it's day. Sadly it's more for tourists now but I was fortunate to enjoy it when at it's best and I stayed overnight before catching the ferry home, dinner was amazing. It's famous for it's souffle omlettes. Thatcher and Reagan had lunch together there. Thanks for the memories, I can't wait to see your next adventure!

Thanks for the shout out, but there's really no need! You had me hooked from the first video of yours I watched, with the broken gear shifter, and your beautiful narration. Your films sum up motorcycle travel for me, and I see so many shared experiences in your videos that bring back some awesome trips with great mates. Thank you 👍
I'm sad that it's come to the end, thoroughly enjoyed all 18 episodes, thank you for keeping me sane through the winter. BTW has Lisa got a sister, I'm 60 no teeth hung like a church mouse and i fart a lot, fingers crossed. Many thanks with love and respect.

I have just LOVED this series!!! You two are so brilliant at it - natural, engaging and make the watcher feel like we’re along for the ride - which tbh has been great in the miserable depths of winter. Safe future travels and enjoy your new “freedom!”
Thanks so much for all the work you've put into this, for our viewing pleasure. Really good watch that, in the depths of an English winter and you've got me wanting to ride the Spanish interior now. Inspirational.. like so much of your work. Don't stop, it's all good 😎

I've thoroughly enjoyed this series and think you've captured it all extremely well. From the Sergio Leonne film sets and the mad sandy town you visited, all the way through to the horrific conditions you experienced in the mountains, it was all done with honesty, humour and freedom of spirit that made a brilliant series to watch. Memories to last forever and to carry on filming, even in the most challenging conditions at times, is to be applauded. Enjoyed every minute of it. All the best, Martin :-)

Mark, how lucky are you that you have a ‘Lisa’ (deservedly so). Your vlogs are amazing, thank you, but where are we without our ‘Lisa’ (our muse, mine is Francesca). Without them our life has less meaning, they give us the freedom and belief that we can achieve ‘everything’!
@@PaulMcConnell-p6v So very true and I think of that every day . It’s all about luck. 19th April 1985 , I was just a kid who wandered into the right village at the right time … there she was on the side of the road break dancing with her friend … and I had the golden opening line to hit it off . I asked her … ‘Are you a boy or a girl’ ? (Because it’s always better to check right) ? . Best wishes to you & Francesca … and so beautifully put by the way .
It amazes me how the French have preserved there history where we have eradicated ours with modern architecture. Such a shame. I expect Stonehenge will be a f%#£in mosque soon. Anyway great series guys really enjoy your style. Have a beautiful weekend.
That island is kept in time perfectly.. it’s glorious, however the bit on the mainland they have got wrong so badly it’s a crime… yeah I don’t think we done to bad , there is plenty preserved in the UK and also plenty screwed up massively… I think a lot to blame on the shrinking planet. We just running out of room . It’s to bloody popular. Best wishes

I stayed in a small village just outside some years back when I was on my chopper , meant to go into the walls but ended up laughing and taking to early hours of morning and not getting into Carcassone . Me and Lisa also passed there last year .. but was too eager to get to the coast and again did not stop. So no ! See the beautiful walls that’s it . 3rd time lucky . I’ll go in ❤ Many thanks
A good life is a lovely way to die. Indeed it is!!!! .especially on your motorcycle if I were to go out it would be on my motorcycle smiling with joy all the way. !!!!.
Was out for a ride today on my Fantic (easier to clean than the Harley !) Popped into Loomies Moto Cafe and got chatting to a guy on a Moto Guzzi V100 (lovely bike) When he found out that me & Mrs like touring and camping on the Road King, he said that he has just started following a couple on RUclips with a Road King 'he's a musician ' he said ! Lean into the Wind I asked ? Thats them he said ! Your now famous 😉 He is even considering taking a Road King for a test ride 😀 Harley Davidson should be sponsoring you 😅

If I get to some place that has been developed like that I turn and leave. Don't like being treated like cattle. Stopped flying decades ago because of that. Oh, it really is such a magical place. It reminds me a bit of Ischia, Italy.
I'm glad to see you made it home safely.
I’ve not been there so cannot compare.
But it’s truly beautiful!
Thanks so much for
And our best wishes
Wow, what journey and thank for sharing such a beautiful series. Almost in tears at the end of this one as I am away from my family for work and can’t wait to get back to them and my motorcycle ❤ Thanks isn’t enough for what you have brought to my life and probably many others!!!
@@travisp683 Ah man , feel that . I’ve done months and months of working away in the past . Especially when kids were young , I just had to go where the work was .. I’d love that feeling heading back though .. kids waiting at the window ahhh bittersweet I guess . But gotta do what we gotta do sometimes. It was magic surprise them all waiting for us ..
loved that .
Best wishes to you and your family ,
Good times and good health
From us both

A great trip, thanks for sharing. Your arrival home looked fantastic!
Ah thank you 🙏
Yes getting home was magical .. and so unexpected
Best wishes from us both .
Have a great weekend
Thanks for the shout out, but there's really no need! You had me hooked from the first video of yours I watched, with the broken gear shifter, and your beautiful narration. Your films sum up motorcycle travel for me, and I see so many shared experiences in your videos that bring back some awesome trips with great mates. Thank you 👍
I’ll always shout out , we are humbled by the kindness people show us .
Thanks 🙏 so much , happy safe travels to you bud
And our best wishes
I'm sad that it's come to the end, thoroughly enjoyed all 18 episodes, thank you for keeping me sane through the winter. BTW has Lisa got a sister, I'm 60 no teeth hung like a church mouse and i fart a lot, fingers crossed. Many thanks with love and respect.
😂
@@RichardYeoman-dh8um hahahahaha that’s bloody hilarious!!! Yeah so I’ll send you her number over , her sister is a bit older than you , has one tooth , trips over her tits climbing the stairs, wets the bed most nights , identifies as a 3 legged camel .. but has a half decent sense of humour .
Good luck 🤞
Best wishes

I have just LOVED this series!!! You two are so brilliant at it - natural, engaging and make the watcher feel like we’re along for the ride - which tbh has been great in the miserable depths of winter. Safe future travels and enjoy your new “freedom!”
Thank you so much! That’s so kind !

Thanks so much for all the work you've put into this, for our viewing pleasure. Really good watch that, in the depths of an English winter and you've got me wanting to ride the Spanish interior now. Inspirational.. like so much of your work. Don't stop, it's all good 😎

A great end to the series guys, well done for capturing the ride in all its glory. ❤
@@Followthebeard Cheers fella . As you know it’s a lotta work filming , but I love making the videos , I actually don’t know what I done before I had a GoPro haha .
Hope you doing good mate
@@LeanIntoTheWindyep, back 15 years ago I used to film my quad videos with a old Sony compact Camara. Riding up hills through mud one handed was a challange. 😂
Absolutely epic guys. What a way to end this trip.
Don’t keep us waiting too long for series 4, we are all hooked !
@@SteveM109r many thanks 🙏
Saving for next one .. but will make some videos for the meantime. Get out on some winter camps etc .

@ awesome. I’m thinking of doing some camping in the near future. But for the spring, I’ve signed up for a tour of Andalucia. 3000km. Should be good…..before it gets too hot.
Looking forward to your new videos as always.
Awesome trip👍🏻, some amazing memories for you both, thats what these trips are about. Thanks for sharing and the time you put into editing. Much appreciated. Look forward to your next adventure 👍🏻🏍
Cheers mate . Thanks for the kind words. I love the editing process. Never thought I would , but it’s creating. I love creating . I’ve so much to learn , but I’m taking notes . The audio lets this series down , we so often never used our microphones.. we must sort that . It’s a big regret . But noted for next time .
I want to make them much better . But to be honest , I never thought I’d have learnt this much in one year .
Thank you again
Best wishes and have a wonderful weekend
@LeanIntoTheWind the audio added to the rawness which was great, especially in the mountain storm👍🏻. I'm sure you will find a solution to what you want. I don't do vlogging in my videos as I hate the sound of my own voice 😆

We’d love to come to Ireland, on our list and heard nothing but good things . Great roads and lots of music .. sounds ideal !
Thanks so much

Excellent. Harley Davidson gets so much bad press, the company should market your series to demonstrate the adventure you can enjoy on one of its bikes. Of all the motorcycle channels I've followed this has been the best. Well done. Watched the new Bob Dylan movie last week, thought it was fantastic. A great night out for you and Lisa if you haven't done it already.
Ah man thank you 🙏 so much !
It’s a very good motorcycle to tour on , it’s very luxurious to what I’m used to . I really love it though . Feel very spoilt on Ramona .. yeah Dylan on our list and we actually have some vouchers for Everyman cinema we not used yet !!

I head out for my first tour of 2025 in 9 weeks. Similar route and I have picked up a few tips from you. No camping though, a nice comfy bed is what I need at the end of an adventurous day.

@ aye alls good ta
I've thoroughly enjoyed this series and think you've captured it all extremely well. From the Sergio Leonne film sets and the mad sandy town you visited, all the way through to the horrific conditions you experienced in the mountains, it was all done with honesty, humour and freedom of spirit that made a brilliant series to watch. Memories to last forever and to carry on filming, even in the most challenging conditions at times, is to be applauded. Enjoyed every minute of it. All the best, Martin :-)

@ If you’ve not been, I think you’re going to LOVE the Outer Hebrides, especially if the weather is good.
That island is kept in time perfectly.. it’s glorious, however the bit on the mainland they have got wrong so badly it’s a crime… yeah I don’t think we done to bad , there is plenty preserved in the UK and also plenty screwed up massively…
I think a lot to blame on the shrinking planet. We just running out of room .
It’s to bloody popular.

After seeing your visit to Mont st Michel, curious as to whether you been to Carcassonne, a other cracking castle and city?
❤️yes turned touristy , commercialised but, all the same interesting.🙏
I stayed in a small village just outside some years back when I was on my chopper , meant to go into the walls but ended up laughing and taking to early hours of morning and not getting into Carcassone . Me and Lisa also passed there last year .. but was too eager to get to the coast and again did not stop. So no !
See the beautiful walls that’s it .
3rd time lucky . I’ll go in ❤
Many thanks
visited Stonehenge in 1977.... just walked in, thru, around and out... w/o any annoying stuff

Your now famous 😉 He is even considering taking a Road King for a test ride 😀 Harley Davidson should be sponsoring you 😅
Far out we are famous hahaha .. man you must have met our only other subscriber!!
What are the odds!!! Ah man you got a Fantic !!!! Very cool !!!!
@LeanIntoTheWind The Fantic is called Fanny, because I fanny about on it ! 🙄
The Harley is unimaginative called Skully !
I loved this final video, and well edited. One question…what phone do you use for directions? And is it waterproof?
@@jockstrapp2752 thanks man ! I use iPhone 13 . But it’s mounted with quad lock system, so it charges continuously. Google maps . But I download , so use offline . It does have a waterproof cover but I only put it on it real heavy rain .
The way the phone sits , it does not really get wet . Until real heavy .
Quad lock do a poncho cover that makes it totally waterproof. But it’s harder to see the screen with it on . But I think I’ve only used it once . Hope that helps
If I get to some place that has been developed like that I turn and leave. Don't like being treated like cattle. Stopped flying decades ago because of that. I always have my car or motorcycle to hand to go where I want, when I want. 15 minute city/towns will stop that though won't they!! Off to Spain for five weeks soon though. 😊 There's St Michael's Mount on the English side too.
@@superglide6680 Tbh I normally do the same , however, as bad as it was on mainland. Once we walked out to the island , no one hassled us and we just meandered around and it was 100% worth it all . Just loved it. Been to the one in Cornwall , but it does not compare to the French counterpart.
