    Is your vehicle having driveability issues or the check engine light is on? Do you think cleaning your throttle body may help? In this video I explain what the symptoms of a dirty throttle body are. I also tell you what information you will need before you start. This basic task could end up with your vehicle being towed to a shop. If you decide to clean it, I give you tips and demonstrate how to do it with a better chance of a positive result. I demonstrate on a Chevy with a 5.3L V8, but these tips work on most makes and models.

    On some of the Chevrolets you got to be mindful if there is a lot of carbon built up around the throttle plate. Sometimes after cleaning and performing the relearn you’ll get a high idle, I’ve usually seen it between 1200-1500 rpm. If that happens then replacement of the throttle body is needed. But anyway, good video sir! I enjoy your videos, keep it up bud

      Yes. Good point. Most vehicles need some sort of relearn after servicing or replacing. Some vehicles have tags on throttle body warning not to clean. They have coatings that solvent will ruin. I appreciate your feedback and thanks for watching.
