The AD in Valencia,Spain obtained a BB58 gilt in 2019 for me when there were wait lists in North America. It was sized for me while I enjoyed a glass of champagne and a chat with the agent. At the reckoning he had deducted 10% and secured a loyal customer. The resale value never came into the equation. It has been worn daily and I'm not tired of looking at it.Seems most other buyers feel the same.

Money is an intrinsic part of watches. A lot of us would love to own a Tudor, but not all of us CAN own a Tudor. To the end of owning a luxury timepiece, saving and saving up money are important considerations so we won’t go bankrupt buying a watch. Expensive pieces become and investment for some, and if some need to sell for whatever reason, they’d obviously like to sell for as high as they reasonably can. Nothing wrong with considering money in horology. The two are inextricable.

I think I've learned a few things in my watch journey. I've learned that sometimes the unpopular watch not being sold today can be the most desirable and sought after watch, tomorrow. You never know which kind/style watch will become desirable in the future.
Remember when no one wanted to buy the Tudor Prince? Try to find one now.

The Tudor Style in black is also a hell of a watch. The main problem with this watch is that you dont recognize the quality from the pictures. It looks like a Casio or Citizen with this typical dolphin hands. But once you touch and wear the watch, you feel the great deal. Downfall is the model name. Why do you name a watch „Style“.

  • @BAF605

A lot of small time flippers jumped on the Tudor bandwagon with the chrono especially though eventually all hot Tudors have cooled. Had economic conditions not taken a turn for the worse the game would have continued but for Tudor at least flipping is over for now. The BB Pro is all over the secondary market at inflated prices but few are buying. Already realistic sellers are taking a small loss and getting out while they can.

  • @snwachuku

I think the discount is driven by the loss of the Tudor warranty. People are willing to pay more for 5 years warranty. Jomashop only has a two year warranty I think.
