In this video, we'll be looking into the story of Kujou Sara. Once a tengu who lived in the mountains, to an adopted daughter of the Kujou Clan, she rose from her position to become a general of the Shogunate's Army. Following the archon quest, I felt that she deserved more recognition so, in this video, we will delve into her past and her story. This will be our Second Character Tales video and plan to upload more in the future. I hope you enjoy the video :)

Personally, despite her having a tough-looking demeanor, she’s pretty nice once you get to know her; if you reach friendship 7 and talk to her in the teapot she actually wishes to have a pet, so that’s a cute little detail. Hopefully she can get a hangout, it’ll be interesting how that’ll turn out.
I can guess she wants a pet that resembles Raiden 😅 also yeah it'd be nice if they add hangouts for Inazuma characters soon so that we'll be able to get to know them more. The one I'm most excited is a Sayu hangout :D
which is why i gave her a cool crane next to her in her mini shrine :p

Poor Sara... she devoted all her life to her work and loyalty to the Shogun and all she got in return is her own clan betraying her, and getting knocked off by Signora while the Shogun did nothing...
Also, from what i understood his adoptive father only took her in because he saw the vision in her hand and thought Sara got the favor of the Archons.
I hope we'll get some more lore quests with her, she deserves friends who care about her. She's my comfort character 💔

Yeah after the archon quest, we never got to see what happened to her :< hopefully she'll appear again when Kokomi's banner is released

Sara reminds me of Keqing a lot. Both are very hardworking individuals and wield an electro vision. Sara seems to have been placed in a really rough spot with the Vision Hunt Decree, on one hand being the enforcer in charge of obeying her Shogun's decree, but on the other treating the populace as humanely as possible, which was violated by her own soldiers' treatment of Masakatsu. I would like to think that it was because of her disgust at her soldiers' treatment of a prisoner that she let us and Yoimiya go during the quest. On a side note, I would love to know how Yoimiya gets herself out of trouble, since all she seems to do is run directly at the Tenryou Commission's officers and harass them with fireworks, fireworks that only her family produces and is famous for, so it's not like she can say it's not hers.
Sara's personality comes off as harsh, but there is no question to her loyalty and love towards her Shogun. The soldiers who serve under her seem to admire her greatly. She developed an admiration towards the Traveler post archon quest, referring to us as an equal who is acknowledged by the Shogun as a mighty warrior during the Labyrinth Warriors event and offering to personally assist Xinyan with her travel permit issues, showing that she has a compassionate side to her harsh warrior exterior.
I wish we had seen what happened when Sara rushed in to tell the Shogun that she was being deceived by Sara's own adopted father, but all we saw was Sara already unconscious, beaten by Signora. We were supposedly only a few minutes behind her, how slow were we running? Or conversely, how fast did Signora beat Sara up?
Same, I really wish we could have seen Sara rush towards the Shogun to try and inform her of what was going on at the time. Maybe even see how desperate the struggle against her and Signora was. Or better yet see just how Signora beat Sara in the first place. I know she's a strong harbinger so I think of two ways she likely beaten her. I think the way she was even able to defeat her was using Sara's own venerability with the Shogun to her advantage. You can imagine the adrenaline and how shaken up she must have been knowing that the man she trusted and who raised was behind this mess.
Actually, there two types of tengu: Yamabushi tengu and Karasu Tengu. The Yamabushi are the ones who live in the mountain and who are depicted with a red face, a long nose and are humanoid. Karasu tengu on the other hand are more bird-like being that they are depicted as crows or ravens, and are much evil than the Yamabushi variant.
So Sara’s design is inspired by both of these folkloric creatures.

I wish we were told what Sara’s relations to her foster brothers (Kamaji and Masahito) those two seem to get along with each other, but where does Sara fit in? Do they even know her well, or did Takayuki keep them separated (seems like something he would do)? Does Masahito feel threatened by her, since they are both renowned Tenryou generals? It just feels odd that not once has either of the brothers even mentioned their sister.
That's on this idea i started writing a fanfic of her. We really need more informations about her. She's such an interesting character
I was thinking maybe Sara could be the one to be the new Kujou clan leader and commissioner of the Tenryou but seems like Ei plans on finding a new commissioner? Would be interesting to see which clan takes the role of Tenryou commissioner. I just think seeing the aftermath of the vision hunt decree would be nice to see but seems we're already on our way to Sumeru lol
Yeah that also got me disappointed with Ei's story quest. Some are saying its still the first act of her story quest but I really hope we will know more of the aftermath in future events or in Kokomi's story quest...
there's a paper somewhere in inazuma taking about "demoting the army general Kujou Masahito and putting lady sara instead"
It really annoys me knowing that we have NO idea what happened to Sara after the vision hunt decree, like we get no story of what happened immediately after and we just assume that she’s fine, i really want a story quest for her :(
we don't know much about her early childhood and don't know much about what she became after the inazuma main quests. I neally need to know more

Enforces a brutal reigime that allows the weak to be wounded if not killed by their own "defenders" the military ..
Just because she can nice sometimes does not mean she is good..
If your brother or friend was killed by the govermemt and you wanted justice she and the military wpuld stand against you.
Imagine waking up and setting up the store and then after opening the store you just see the Captain and think "Am i under arrest?"

I don't think most people look into her lore so it kinda makes me mad seeing people hate her and say that they have no reason to like her cuz she beat tomo and after he died tried to take his vision and was the one enforcing the VHD and disregarding people's feelings. She is much more that just a character you can hate on freely

The idea that dictators are always evil is wrong, most of the time they are mildy good natured people that want absolute control to fix problems.
But the results are devastating and simply evil.
People are right to hate on her .
Loyalty is worthless to the people but everything to the dictator.
Her loyalty has destroyed the futures of MANY good people.

I think it’s lovely mihoyo incorporated self consciousness into a character like Sara. Someone seemingly emotionless can still have crippling anxiety due to how they act or look.

If you have her and read her voicelines, she keeps some figurines of Morax in her home. Also if you complete the Archon Quest in Liyue, she starts to respect him more :)

Nope she's definitely not dead. I think we'll see more of her in Kokomi's story quest :D

Kokomi will have a story quest upon her release. Technically yeah I think we'll see the aftermath of the civil war (just a speculation tho 😅)
This still doesnt excuse her and her obsesion with the god,if anything its worse,if she wasnt in the war perhaps kokomi would have had a chance!she kept the horribleness of the actions and choices of the archon ongoing!
