At almost 79, I've been hand writing Scripture since I was 30. For years I thought I was the only one...now there's a pile of us and I found my tribe! Love your channel. And I use gray pens!!!!
@@my-white-bible I couldn't even count! I started out just doing short books, although Genesis was my very first. It was daunting so I opted for shorter books to see the results. I just used little spiral notebooks as the journals we have today were not available. I never did go front to back...but that is my goal in this next year. It just never occurred to me. I did not catch where you got your pink book. Did you say Amazon? I usually use grid. Don't like lines or little dots. LOL. I am a mixed media artist. I have art journals, scripture writing, regular journals and I create beautiful handmade books called "Scripture Snippets" (protected). I wrote a book after my husband died in scrapbook fashion and it helped me. He was a pastor so when he died, I lost a husband, pastor, my role and I've had to re-create myself. God is good. Sorry I rambled. Blessings on your work on His behalf and for encouraging others. Keep going!

I thought I'd purchased a dedicated scripture writing journal because the idea intrigued me, but it was actually a "praying the scripture" journal, which I also love to do. One of these days, I'll have time for everything.

I am like you as in the beginning of this year I had this insatiable desire to read God’s Word. And then just a couple months ago I discovered writing scripture and fountain pens. I am hooked. I have been memorizing the book of James and some of the Psalms. And, like you, I find that I slow down when I am writing the Word. Thank you for your suggestion of the journal that you are using. Yes I think it's good to write in the Bible too; it shows our personal journey as we were studying and what was being revealed to us at the time. But notebooks is also totally fine as well - there are no rules when it comes to spending time with our Father 🥰
I started writing Psalms last week. And you're right - having to slow down and actually see and write the Words is different than just reading them. I'm "seeing" things in there that I didn't actually notice when I just read the Bible. Actually forming the letters of the Words is different than reading them.
Now you're speaking my language. I love fountain pens. Check out Cult Pens for supplies. Goulet Pens on YT for education on everything with fountain pens. Wait until you get down the paper rabbit hole too. My favorite pen is Pilot Decimo. They have a champagne pink and a lilac you would love. I enjoy Pilot inks, J. Herbin inks as well as Ferris Wheel Press. I'm reading the bible through right now. At the half way mark. However, I was considering my next read through to hand write it as I read. I'll see what the Spirit has planned for me when I get there. Currently, I do a verse writing daily. It's not the entire chapter. I write it down in my faith journal first thing and later in the evening I do my reading and take notes. Looking forward to more from your channel~

I had to laugh at you saying you were a 'matchy girl' - me too! I just purchased two new bibles: a pink Humble Lamb KJV and a compact rose gold NLT bible. Of course then I had to buy a new bible case - so I purchase a Triforce 'makeup case' in pink marble that I am keeping my two bibles in as well as the very same journal you have shown in this video. And then I had to buy post-it notes and flags in pale pink and orchid, and a travelers notebook in pink. I have a pink and pastel thing going on this year. Guess I'm a 'matchy girl' also. BTW, I love to write out scripture. I find it both relaxing and reflective. Love your channel!

Thank you - I really enjoyed this. I also was drawn to read James for some reason. It’s beautiful. Read through it once - just read and now Im really enjoying writing out verses that speak to me. So far, I can’t get passed verse 1:5. The wisdom verse pulled me to other correlating verses. That’s how the Spirit is pulling me. I guess it’s what I need for now. I like my spiral note book and I really like my 4 colored bic pens. Works for me. 😊 But , those pens 🤗 . I might have to try them. Lefty here, so I have to watch the smear factor. 😬❤️ Thank you for all your bible readings.

I have several of those journals...paper is amazing Another amazing brand of notebook I buy a lot is the brand Zequenz they come in a lot of sizes and the paper is like silk so smooth . Amazon carries them.
Hahaha that's so funny, it's scary how addictive these inks are! Ooh yes I have seen Ferris Wheel on IG and they look sooo beautiful! I started with cheap and cheerful inks, but I can easily see me falling down the rabbit hole.......! 🙃

Ooof girl I had a mission trying to figure it out 🤪Basically with piston pens you twist the end until the inside part goes all the way to the bottom, dip the whole nib in the ink while twisting the end back up as far as it will go to suction the ink up! Hope that helps!
Great question! I didn't have a plan when I first started, I just knew I wanted to write books that gave great advice first; the book of James kept popping up everywhere so I began there. The following books that follow are 1 and 2 Peter which also give excellent advice, so I just continued! I guess I'm just being open to be lead by the Holy Spirit to see where He guides me 🙏
