I am new here and I just have to add this. About a year ago I had a dream where God told me to spend all day coloring and drawing and not listening to or watching anything. I am one of those people who listens ro podcasts or long youtube videos all day. I have to keep my mind entertained 24/7. I didn’t understand that dream at the time and it was probably the only dream that was clearly from God and I wish He gave me more. Well I obeyed and it reminded me of my childhood when I drew all day and colored. It was difficult not having anything to listen to but I did it out of obedience to God. At the time I thought he was testing me to see if I’d obey so I did. But I also realized He was teaching me to listen for His voice. If I was always listening to stuff, how could I hear Him? After that I’d try to take gaps during the day where I’d do things in silence. It allowed me to hear God and talk to him but also help me detox my addiction to consuming information all day. A few months ago I felt called to turn everything off in the evening and listen to worship and start coloring verses. I felt my creativity flowing and I wanted to dedicate my art each day to God. I also made a variety of different prayer books and scripture books in the last year but nothing seemed to stick. Then I found you right after starting a scripture scrapbook very recently. And your video confirmed that God wants us to spend time with Him. That is what it’s about. Focus on Him only. And you have inspired me to write to him and write scripture daily as well. Thank you! Even listening to sermons or other Bible posts is not beneficial if we don't allow ourselves to meditate on what we are learning from each one. Going from one to the next to the next to the next can produce an overwhelming amount of thoughts and lessons and prevent us from learning what the Lord wants us to know (I can get caught up in that myself). Perhaps Psalm 46:10, "Be still and know that I am God," might be a good one for both of us to start with. ❤

Thank you Sherry for being the sweet and kind lady that you are. You mean more to us than you could ever know and your channel is such a place of joy, encouragement and inspiration. We live in a world where good things seem harder and harder to find anymore but you my dear have certainly provided us here with a very good thing. Hi, Ann I am dealing with some mental and health challenges also and have been for years. In the past 2-3 weeks I got with with about 3 things one after another. This last one is Covid again for the 3rd time 2021, 2022, 2024. So it has been a challenge. So please know I will be praying for you and there is someone on this channel (ME) that understands. Yes, it is true that it seems to help me when I know that someone or others are going through things and we feel like is it just me???????? Then someone comes along and tell some of their story and then it's like Wow good someone else has this or that etc..... I'm not the only one. I'm not to good on the computer stuff and my texts are long as I don't know all the slang LOL. I do have a PRAISE to share about this 3rd time having Covid. I could not get me fever to go down I think it was Tues. It was higher I think 99 and close or maybe went to 100 or so than today's. I took 3 Advil every 6 hours etc..have been using it through this and it would not come down enough for me to feel ok about it, but as of today I have not taken any so far and it's 10.44 p.m. where I am and I had a couple 98.9 then 98.8 then 98.2 and a few minutes ago it was 98.4 THANK YOU JESUS. God is so good, hopefully this stuff is on it's way out I hope. I just wish I could bounce back from the other 2 times now 3 (OH BOY!) LOL. But GOD gets ALL THE GLORY. I hope things start getting better and even though we are having challenges at least we know we are not alone. God Knows ALL About it. God Bless You. That's what I feel like I am going through right now but I can start to see the light again and I know I will get through this even stronger than before. I use Scriptures from sermon notes. The pastor usually includes several Scriptures in the sermon and I write them down on my notepad, then I go back later in the day and write out all of the Scriptures he used in that particular sermon. This also helps the lesson come alive for me and I learn so much more by going over the lesson and applying the Scripture verses. If I can write out short passages on the same page (I use large spiral bound notebooks), I will. When I start running out of room, I reach for blank note paper and sticky notes and write them out on those, then washi tape them onto the page. I watch sermons every morning on RUclips, and I change Pastors from time to time to keep things fresh for me. I'm not able to physically attend church now, but God has blessed us with the Internet! So, I don't have a separate notebook used specifically for writing out Scripture. Instead, I have several notebooks assigned to each pastor I follow, and make a mess out of those! :)

I'm so ready to start scripture writing. Now is the time to get some supplies. If you have a very tight budget, Walmarts back to school sale has pen and gear crayons for 25 cents, colored pencils for I think it was 50 cents , I can't remember the other prices. I know you don't have to have them but for $1.00 you can get colored pencils and crayons. That's for giving all the tips. Any way to praise and worship the Lord and spend time with him, I'll give him my time
Sherry, thank you, you are totally anointed by The Lord. Bless you. I am a widow, 71, became a believer in my thirties. To connect with God I started to write letters to Him. In my early walk I found it so easy to be distracted, so writing gave me focus. Of course as a new Christian I didn’t understand the value of Gods Word, but over time The Holy Spirit was teaching me……… He is still teaching me, I pray to remain teachable, your message is wonderful and uplifting Thank You. How exciting that you wrote letters to God. I'm sure this practice brought you closer to him. In my younger years, I often wrote out my prayers. Hello, The Homespun Wife, It is nice to meet you! This is the first I'm hearing about this art meditation - I am creative, but not an artist. I saw that you only write on the front side of the paper. I like that. Maybe, thought just popped in my brain, cut out, print, draw small pictures, write little doodles or possibly another relevant scripture or saintly quote, etc, even a shape out of a piece of fabric, and glue it to the back of your finished front page.... Or ~ maybe not ~ I am intrigued. I have also recently read that when on is doing a regular Bible study, it is good to start by handwriting the entire book out first = I don't know if a composition book would be big enough or not, and that is really supposed to help - if nothing else, it may tickle one's memory, hey - I've heard that before! I found your video yesterday about makeup application and I enjoyed it so much that I subscribed to your channel,, but today I just finished watching this video and "Oh how I was blessed by this". When you sang that song my heart was full and so relaxed. I am a beliver in Christ and if it wasn't for Him I would not have survived my 64 years on this earth. I love writing with fountain pens, and some days my writing is plain/printing and other days embellished (script) etc. It depends on my mood I guess! The brush markers are fun too.

I was at my Walmart today and found some colored pencils, colored pens, and crayons very inexpensively in the back to school section. I also found a notebook so now I feel I am ready to begin. I like the idea of writing based on a scripture, I just read systematically in one book of the Bible at least 1 chapters a day until I am impacted by something. Then I copy that verse/s in my journal. If it is a verse I want to memorize, I recopy on an index card. Recently I purchased a new journal. The cover had the verse “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.” To my surprise each page has 1 verse at the bottom of the page. I find comfort and direction from this. Thanks for your encouragement, whatever helps us spend time with God is worth considering.

Thank you for sharing these pearls. I like to ask people, my family, their favorite verse or a passage that is I,parting them. I also use my quiet time book. But by far diving into the psalms offers a wealth of inspiration for scripture writing. When I’m creatively stuck, I’ve also used Pinterest to help me with a template for how to design my page. I'm glad you showed your scripture writing that did not have any artwork on it because my artwork is pretty pitiful.😅😅😅 I will print off some work off the printer and paste it onto the page, but I do write out my scripture everyday.😊😊😊

I want to tell you how many times I have watched and listened knowing that God is not a God of coincidences but my goodness I've had a few times where I've been taken aback, utterly surprised by a detail/s in your video content. I took 3 Advil every 6 hours etc..have been using it through this and it would not come down enough for me to feel ok about it, but as of today I have not taken any so far and it's 10.44 p.m. where I am and I had a couple 98.9 then 98.8 then 98.2 and a few minutes ago it was 98.4 THANK YOU JESUS. God is so good, hopefully this stuff is on it's way out I hope. I just wish I could bounce back from the other 2 times now 3 (OH BOY!) LOL. But GOD gets ALL THE GLORY. I hope things start getting better and even though we are having challenges at least we know we are not alone. God Knows ALL About it. God Bless You. I still feel rough though LOL. but glad the 100 is gone so far. TY again for your kind words as well. 🙏💐💝

That's what I feel like I am going through right now but I can start to see the light again and I know I will get through this even stronger than before. I use Scriptures from sermon notes. The pastor usually includes several Scriptures in the sermon and I write them down on my notepad, then I go back later in the day and write out all of the Scriptures he used in that particular sermon. This also helps the lesson come alive for me and I learn so much more by going over the lesson and applying the Scripture verses. If I can write out short passages on the same page (I use large spiral bound notebooks), I will. When I start running out of room, I reach for blank note paper and sticky notes and write them out on those, then washi tape them onto the page. I watch sermons every morning on RUclips, and I change Pastors from time to time to keep things fresh for me. I'm not able to physically attend church now, but God has blessed us with the Internet! So, I don't have a separate notebook used specifically for writing out Scripture. Instead, I have several notebooks assigned to each pastor I follow, and make a mess out of those! :)

I'm so ready to start scripture writing. Now is the time to get some supplies. If you have a very tight budget, Walmarts back to school sale has pen and gear crayons for 25 cents, colored pencils for I think it was 50 cents , I can't remember the other prices. I know you don't have to have them but for $1.00 you can get colored pencils and crayons. That's for giving all the tips. Any way to praise and worship the Lord and spend time with him, I'll give him my time

Sherry, thank you, you are totally anointed by The Lord. Bless you. I am a widow, 71, became a believer in my thirties. To connect with God I started to write letters to Him. In my early walk I found it so easy to be distracted, so writing gave me focus. Of course as a new Christian I didn’t understand the value of Gods Word, but over time The Holy Spirit was teaching me……… He is still teaching me, I pray to remain teachable, your message is wonderful and uplifting Thank You. This is the first I'm hearing about this art meditation - I am creative, but not an artist. I saw that you only write on the front side of the paper. I like that. Maybe, thought just popped in my brain, cut out, print, draw small pictures, write little doodles or possibly another relevant scripture or saintly quote, etc, even a shape out of a piece of fabric, and glue it to the back of your finished front page....
Or ~ maybe not ~ I am intrigued.
I have also recently read that when on is doing a regular Bible study, it is good to start by handwriting the entire book out first = I don't know if a composition book would be big enough or not, and that is really supposed to help - if nothing else, it may tickle one's memory, hey - I've heard that before!

I love writing with fountain pens, and some days my writing is plain/printing and other days embellished (script) etc. It depends on my mood I guess! The brush markers are fun too.

I like the idea of writing based on a scripture, I just read systematically in one book of the Bible at least 1 chapters a day until I am impacted by something. Then I copy that verse/s in my journal. If it is a verse I want to memorize, I recopy on an index card.
Recently I purchased a new journal. The cover had the verse “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.” To my surprise each page has 1 verse at the bottom of the page. I find comfort and direction from this.

But by far diving into the psalms offers a wealth of inspiration for scripture writing. When I’m creatively stuck, I’ve also used Pinterest to help me with a template for how to design my page. I'm glad you showed your scripture writing that did not have any artwork on it because my artwork is pretty pitiful.😅😅😅 I will print off some work off the printer and paste it onto the page, but I do write out my scripture everyday.😊😊😊

Hallelujah!!!! I’m so glad to have found your page. You truly minister to me. I have started scripture writing only a few days ago. I’m so elated about what God is doing in my life. I feel closer to Him and I know that I can run to Him and write when I am having a difficult time or a hard day.

Wonderful encouragement, self confidence is such a hindrance to being a free child of God, a beautiful message you shared. I want to tell you how many times I have watched and listened knowing that God is not a God of coincidences but my goodness I've had a few times where I've been taken aback, utterly surprised by a detail/s in your video content.
