WD 1 feels like "Taken" and "Password Swordfish" had a video game baby. A grim focused story with a protagonist who did feel like a ruthless guy going on a killing spree to revange his family while WD2 feet like the TV shi "Community" meets the movie "Hackers" Level design and progression might be much improved with its sequel but I'd always prefer Aidan Pearce and the from and gritty atmosphere
I loved both games, 1 and 2! I don't think the first Watch Dogs was bad at all. If I had any gripes with the first one it would be that there were too many "side activities" that were just collectibles; go to a place, maybe solve a very, very basic puzzle, then go somewhere else and do it again. The only enjoyable collectible was the one where you have to point a camera at the right location to reveal a QR code when the buildings line up correctly. Also, it was a bit jarring how Aiden was supposed to be "the good guy" but you go around destroying the city and killing people. The character motivation didn't line up with the actual gameplay. Everything else was wonderful, and the city especially was beautiful! And the chases to avoid police detection, and then throw them off, were really rewarding 😁 As for Watch Dogs 2; that game is fantastic in almost every way. The only gripe I have with that one is that the DedSec characters are pretty annoying! Everything else is amazing. The world especially; it's even more beautiful and interesting than the first. They did an even better job of having very distinct areas of the map with different features and architectural styles, and I loved all the bright colours! And instead of repetitive collectibles they had much more interesting side-activities, with challenging puzzles.
I don't give a shit about the characters/plot mostly, the satirical aspects are fun, it's smarter than I expected. but the best part is how you can just stir up chaos, create gang fights, make crazy traffic crashes, etc.

Thats because objectively tone wise it's more serious and grounded in reality, WD2 is not grounded in reality at all, the tones of WD2 are ALL over the place, with a characters death JUST to further the plot rather than add some backstory to the protagonist
The only thing I didn't like about Watch Dogs 2 is that the conflict didn't feel personal. It was hard for me to be convinced that DedSec was doing these hacktivism things when they're very joyful in their spare time. Heck, one of them dies and the next day they're fucking okay. They didn't feel like activists who truly want change. They're just a bunch hipsters who do it for fun. Marcus, especially, didn't resonate with me at all. His character is so joyful and lighthearted that I couldn't even bear to use guns or any lethal methods during missions. The game is extremely narrative-driven, but its story isn't its strongest aspect. The gameplay, especially stealth and gadgets, are great. The driving is okay, at least better than GTA IV driving lol. The open world is the best aspect for me because San Francisco is a place very close to my heart and Ubisoft didn't fail at capturing the beauty of it.
I had to few times download, play for 1st scene in cTOs and uninstall. But this time, after I push up to meet colleagues in HQ, I cant stop. This game worth every seconds.
As an average-to-below-average gamer I found WD2 boring af, the driving dynamics on a PC were horrible (they were a big part of several missions) and the stupid hack puzzles ruined the continuity of the missions imo.
wd1 and 2 are god tier we all know but if you give the trashcan legion some actual time just playing with the combat with instant gun takedowns is just such a blast and being loud/stealthy because it’s way more open to do things then 1 or 2 it’s just sad that the ONLY thing better in legion then the other games is the hand to hand combat and some takedowns
First one was so much better. The new atmosphere is great but the new game play is boring and I find the NPCs are now either very oblivious or teleport in impossible ways

I had to few times download, play for 1st scene in cTOs and uninstall. But this time, after I push up to meet colleagues in HQ, I cant stop. This game worth every seconds.
Best open world Game I have ever played
I think so it’s the best to me so underrated
Mam this game was awesome!! I didn't realize how much fun I would have with this game.
I still enjoy Watch Dogs 2
im buying this soon as its on sale and i cannot say how excited i am
On saks on xbox today ends in ten hours
As an average-to-below-average gamer I found WD2 boring af, the driving dynamics on a PC were horrible (they were a big part of several missions) and the stupid hack puzzles ruined the continuity of the missions imo.
Multiplayer especially the show down mode Is the reason I’m still playing 😁
wd1 and 2 are god tier we all know but if you give the trashcan legion some actual time just playing with the combat with instant gun takedowns is just such a blast and being loud/stealthy because it’s way more open to do things then 1 or 2 it’s just sad that the ONLY thing better in legion then the other games is the hand to hand combat and some takedowns
Pretty good story overall
Indeed
Why is there 35 dislikes? This video didn't have any offensive parts. They didn't even clickbait either.
First one was so much better. The new atmosphere is great but the new game play is boring and I find the NPCs are now either very oblivious or teleport in impossible ways
I got part one and two for $13AUD yesterday so I'm happy with the purchase even though I haven't played yet. If anything my collection grew
The first one was waaaaaaay better in story and character
You mean that character Aiden Pearce oh, the guy who made the stupidest decisions ever in a game, going to have to disagree with you there on that.
@@iceman1287 Like what? I actually loved how inteligent he was like when he just hacked the place that had his sister kidnaped intead of risking going there and getting both of them killed.
And at least the first game had a story, part 2 had a bunch of disconected arcs that made the story feel worthless with characters that where just steriotypes and nothing more.
Damien literally gave Aiden a solid lead on how to find the people who got his niece killed and he rejected it like WTF.
@@iceman1287 Damien was also the main antagonist, a complete sociopath and the dude that ruined Aiden's life, that's how a rational person would react
I see your point, I mean grew up with both these games I even played the first watch dogs alot after the second game, there both great in their own way.
This always happens, criticism on release then praised a few years after
Yeah man don't know why. Maybe WD meant to be played long. Most of reviewer play the game fastly, it'll become boring. They should just enjoy the world in WD game. I personally love the series, in WD2 you can even finish the game without killing. It's pretty rare in today game.
Facts tho when I got it on release I loved it
I definitely skipped this game in deference of waiting for Cyberpunk. What a mistake that was. Playing this now since it's on game pass, and having a blast. I love the sandbox elements and the chaos you can stir up.
Pretty sure watchdogs take place in the same universe as assassins creed
people driving a car: Just drives
Me:OOH I CAN DO SICK TRICK EXPLODING MY MOTORCYCLE UP YAY
I loved the parkour in watch dogs 2 so I hope it will be in watch dogs legion (tomorrow)
It will be, but apparently not as good
I am gonna play this soon.
I really enjoyed Watch Dogs 2 but I preferred the first game more I know it was flawed but the more gritty atmosphere & also I preferred Aiden Pearce as a character even if I am the only one that does
The combat in the first game was epic!
@@dumitriman Yeah it is I played it again last month concentrating on getting focus to max asap and played more out attack it's great throwing grenades then using focus to shoot it mid air. I have forgotten name of channel but there is a game who plays it like John Wick if you not seen it search for it makes the game totally different
I loved The First Watch dogs but it's not perfect WD2 however improves alot.
Anyone watching this just to try to stop thinking about cyberpunk and being sick of anxiety
Watch dogs legion is FIRE
The first watch dogs at least had a good story, the gameplay might not be as good as the second one, but Marcus could have been way better but the story dragged him down.
a play through of the first one to legion anyone?
The only thing bad about Watch Dogs 2 is the unavailability of new game plus
EXACTLY!!! I was about to get platinum, but then I realized I got the demo of the game where you do the first few missions and they don't count towards trophies, meaning I would have to restart everything on a save where I did every mission and bought every item in the game. Smh.
I got it a long time ago, actually liked the first one better but then again I haven't finished the second one. Will plan on doing it but guys/gals, is this really a good game?
Yes.
It’s story is MEH.
But the gameplay is definitely worth playing
watch dogs 2 was tons of fun
Game was amazing, great world with a warm vibe!
love both games my favorite Ubisoft game bye far
It bored me a LOT.
The city wasn't alive, shit got old quickly to me.
Thank god. I ain't the only one who didn't like the game.
The story was ok but overall it was fun
What Made Watch Dogs 2 "NOT" One Hell of A Game?
- Forgettable Protagonist
- Lackluster openworld
- Cartoonish Supporting Characters
- Poor Driving mechanics
- Poor NPC AI
- Poor GTA V Clone
- Not as good as OG Watch Dogs.
1. Wrong
2. VERY WRONG
3. Wrong
4. Very true
5. Eh
6. Definitely not
7. Subjective
@@milfordjenkins6113 just because you know how to spell wrong does not make it wrong, its his opinion for gods sake, one i share,
This game is free on the epicgames webpage...till tomorrow
2:31 that aged poorly
I was excited to cosplay as *’Aiden Pearce’* this Halloween (I was gonna flex with the mask/gaiter 😷 and all *#STOPTHESPREAD* *#SAVELIVES* ) but I couldn’t find that coat he wears smhlmao. *#SOCIALDISTANCETHISHALLOWEEN*
WD 2 was amazing but WD 1 was even better
