Love this! You have been my inspiration since i was a little girl. I remember seeing your column in the newspaper, hearing you on the radio, tv etc and seeing you become an Attorney too! I also have two law degrees, an LLB, LLM and my diploma in Legal Practice and currently about to train as a solicitor in England and Wales at only 26 years old! I’m so happy i waited and did things my way despite all the pressure from empty barrels. The man also came along and my fiancé is also a doctor and we are about to be married. My mother had me at 40 and my brother which is her first born at 37 and I’m happy that she waited until she found out dad. I’m really grateful for my mother and she said she planned her life to have a father like ours. Yes, she’s an older woman and I worry about the amount of time I will have with her because I’m 23 now and she’s 63 and neither me or my brother have kids as yet since we want kids in our 30s. My mom said people called her all types of names and even when she had us as babies people accused her of not being our mom, but me grateful fi my big ooman mother ! Her knowledge and wisdom is one of my favorite things about her, maybe just MAYBE if she had us earlier she might not have been the best version of her self to raise us the way she did.
You don’t need to rush to have kids to prove that you’re a woman. Big up miss kitty and all the people that have been speaking ill of her are just reflecting how they think about themselves and their mothers.
Here for all the Modern Mommies! We need to normalize women having children when they are emotionally, financially, mentally prepared to do so, at wherever age they decide to do so. Thank you for this Ms. Kitty, much needed in the space.
I had my first child at age 32 and my second at 39 I've been called all those names and more.... yes all around me teenage pregnancy and 4 and 5 children before 25, and that was the norm, I never wanted that life so I never cared about the remarks , I did me and I'm completely satisfied with doing me.

I feel so inspired. I have 3 children rn. I want to get married in a couple years and have another baby but it has to be under a very specific set of circumstances. Good finances, a home and a husband that loves me endlessly. This makes me feel so hopeful

I am 46 and childless, I would love to have children always wanted them, but my body says otherwise, and there are also milestones in my life that I am yet to achieve, my child, all children deserve the best in life so with that said lets see what happens.

Hi Ms kitty. Am so so elated that you’re sharing this journey with us. As I found out just last week that am pregnant. Am 36 going on 37 years old. So am extremely grateful 🙌🏽🙌🏽 feeling blessed. Same. Dem use to live inna mi skin..had my baby at 36..they scared mi so much I was traumatised if the baby and I would be ok .mi fret the entire pregnancy but he's wonderful, adorable and such a happy baby . God's timing is best . he's now 4 months

I didn't plan any of my pregnancies, I had my first handsome son right after graduating UWI nursing school and then 11 yrs later I was married still didn't plan my pregnancy but gave birth to another handset baby boy.

I'm happy for you Ms Kitty. I had my first child at age 45 after achieving house car first degree and a masters and im happily married. I am now 49 yrs old and a second child is here too. Today is mother's day and I find myself at children's hospital with my son from 5:30am mi come back home now but believe mi the greatest mother's day gift is walking out the hospital with my son by my side and not having to leave him there hmm that was priceless to me not to mention when my 7 year old look at me and say Mommy you have been doing great job raising me as a single mother ... Too many of us had babies way too young. I was one of those young women; and ended up raising my three children by myself. I still managed to complete my education and I am now a doctor.
