I recommend auckland central. The cheapest you can get for 1 pax is around 380/week, I'm not sure. Everything is close to your place when you are in central. But also consider your job location and if you need a parking space. Parking space is an additional fee, so a granny flat in suburbs will also be a good option for you to start.
