Yes, freedom of movement is so important when editing. You have to force it when you're grinding out box fight techniques. It seems like a handful at first, but if you spend a bit of time forcing it it eventually becomes easier than editing standing still or only holding W. Use strafe aim. Make sure you put a little thought into optimizing your crosshair pathing when editing, ie when strafing left you should edit from right to left, when strafing right edit from left to right, ect. Jerian didn't fully explain the maintaining sprint thing. Sprinting is significantly faster than just strafing sideways, even for short bursts. If you need to go 90deg sideways, quickly look 45deg in that direction and sprint the diagonal. This is related to why optimizing your crosshair pathing is important. If you are editing in the optimal direction this sideways sprint look thing is much more natural because you're already swiping into the direction you want to go. The placing a ramp/cone through a wall thing looks good to know, but I can't help but feel you should never be given the opportunity. I've been convinced for a long time that you should get control of the inside ramp when you box up, by default, 100% of the time. I've seen streamers who leave it unclaimed, seemingly so they can reactively place a ramp towards the opponent or over their head if attacked, but this seem like a spoiled 0pinger play to me. If you need a defensive reaction you can edit cone or ramp just fine, and these edits have more counter pressure options too. If you're worried about mat economy just use cones instead of the floor pieces, but seriously, 1 extra piece is really cheap for the safety redundancy.
Idea: how to play against bad players, example: sprayers, people who stay on ground in zone wars, bacically people who are so bad that they do unexpected things.
