Dude, that one segment about the "Don't be friends with your trio" really hit home. I used to play comp with one of my friends I met online and his gameplay was so inconsistent, his callouts were non-specific, he would not switch off of combat pro when I repeatedly suggested builder pro, he made stupid aggressive plays, and worst of all, he could not accept his own mistakes and would try to put them on other players in the squad, trio, me or whatever it was. That's one of the main reasons I have not been able to get back into comp. Is because 1. I don't have friends to play it with 2. I'm too shy to find teammates on LFG discords.

Also, about being friends. You can def be friends but you have to have agreements beforehand about calling each other out. My cousin and I always team and after every game, win or lose, we discuss what we did wrong or well. You HAVE to take your ego out of the game.

You are improving. Just not as fast as everyone else. Back when I started at the end of season 3 there was potential to get good. Now. At least for me it feels like I’d never catch up. I still play once in a while but I’m basically over it.
i was on 100 ping so long from being on an old ps4, that when i switched to playing on pc, i couldn't side jump. i would always jump too early, like i was on 100 ping

Jerian, I'm 60 ping player on console and I'm struggling allot i have already maxed out my potential and I'm not getting better because my ping and fps holds me back. What can i do to get better? Also I'm a puertorrican player i think we should have servers in Latin America. Players such as faze sway from Puerto Rico had allot of potential and other players over here as well have allot of potential. I just wish we had more servers for not only Latin America but also South Africa.
65 ping is playable, you can triple edit quad edit, edit course piece control and everything you just have to practice good crosshair placement and learn the timing of when edits hit, I see a lot of high ping players like me trying to play like they have 0 ping you have to just slowww down and play delayed it’s still possible to have good mechanics. One thing that helped me is switching to a different server then learning mechanics slowly one by one, once you switch back do the same thing slowly and it’ll be easy.
this is coming from a valorant player and i pretty much only have one advice and that is good crosshair placement even though 1 shot headshot doesnt exist with rifles that doesnt mean u shouldnt implement this to ur game . always aim at head level especially if ur running shotgun .
I couldn't agree more, i always meet these kids at the start of the season, when everybody's just tryna get to champs. After i got over 20k points tho, I have met less of them, because they just don't spend enough time in-game.

One thing that holds me back a bit is my frames, I used to be on 30 and was in my opinion, quite good for a switch player, then I changed to Xbox series x but I only have a 60hz monitor, so if I get 120hz monitor I think I can get much better
A difference in Hz isn’t going to make you play better. Sure you might feel more smooth while playing because of more frames, but if you don’t raw mechanical skill and a good mind to back that up then the most improvement would be that your edits got a little faster. If that happens, then try to focus for on in game mechanics and try to get a friend or a coach to help you with in game.

@@teslatoilet3853 lol 9 months ago. and money isn't everything if your good. don't be mad, people always think that if you have amazing equipment it will make you so much better. no amount of mbps or equipment will substitute for just general skill or talent for any game. people play on console and are world class players. they play on 60ping by default and have only 60hz. when they switch to new gen or pc sure they might get better as it's more fluent and smooth, but they will hit a skill cap if they don't continue to practice. goes for anything, if someone was to play basketball with a soccer ball with a run down hoop and uneven ground..they would still be able to play but would learn to adapt to the conditions. if they then go to a perfect court with a perfect basketball..they would get better for sure, but they will eventually hit a cap if the are in that mindset that you are in. 9 months ago and even now it still applies. so unless you have a defect that affects you as a human being, i don't know what your talking about
I'm not improving because I have no motivation to actually start grinding the game hard. I play piece control maps, aim duels and realistics in creative for like 2-3 hours before I start playing arena games. Then I play like 2-3 games before I ragequit due to losing most of my fights, it's so triggering.
Another way to get good, is to sometimes take a mental break from things. Play more FPS games. It will improve your aim if you aren't already doing aim training on Kovaak's Aim Trainer or Aim Lab
