My gear that will get me out in ice cubes: 5/4 suit, 3mm hood, 6mm boots, 3mm fingered gloves. Fitment is very important. I often had problems with fingers freezing. Now I have gloves that are just close to my hands and fingers but no stretch at all. Make sure they're close fit and not tight. Allows the blood to circulate. Another tip is to not be scared to crash and flush your suit. Trying things and moving around keeps you warmer better than just mowing the lawn. When your fingers do get cold make circles with your arms to get more blood flow in your fingers. Staying active is a big thing. When you come off the water change out of your wet clothes asap while your body is still hot. Way easier to do it in that order. You will just get a huge pillow of hot steam and the cold outside wont bother you much really.

All simple except for the gloves; lack of dexterity and grip and forearm fatigue. Duotone should make a wing boom that radiates heat!

That'd be awesome! I'm sure we could rig somethign with a battery pack and heat element inside the boom. The new Mystic Lobster are the best gloves I've found those those freezing temps. Great dexterity, fit, and lots of pre-curve. -Tucker
