Great work it looks awesome. I do think you should have stopped turning at about 6:40 maybe. You would have had a more secure place for your cigar to rest.
Ive been using the ashtray for four years now and haven't even applied a second coat. and with a quick wipe down it looks nearly new. there are areas in the bottom where the hot ash of the cigar has discolored but not burned the bottom but that's it. I let the cigars burn out on the edge and don't twist them out.
Just paste wax for the finish? Is this something you reapply after some use? Still learning Been wondering what to finish my ash trays with Thank you 🇺🇸
The jigsaw, router, and the drill are going to sue for credit. I just know how those tools work.
The hole in tray idea was great! Just look away when you see the vice, drill, jigsaw and router....
Very nice! And I really like how badass of a hangout you turned just a dining table into
Thanks. That dining table I made with reclaimed 120 year old pine flooring. It's our card table in the man cave.
@@cabn12 that's badass man! Definitely looks like a cool setup and a nice table

Wow! Nice! You're a clever li'l beaver.
How did the minwax hold up to the heat of the cigar?

Not trying to troll, but it seems like a bad idea to have an ash tray made of wood. Have you left a cigar burning in it to see if it ignites?
A cigar won’t stay lit long enough to catch fire.
