Amazing Performance .. sounds a LOT like the version that actually ended up on the Some Enchanted Evening album of 1978. They were fired up here all right ... one day people might realise just what a remarkable live band BOC have been down the years.
Cheers for posting loved every second of it, wish I was 17 again ;-) Opened with this at Manchester free trade hall circa1976/77 happy days, oh yea the lasers worked as well ;-)
Thanks so much, what could possibly be better than BOC kicking ass back in their prime? (That was a rhetorical question, by the way, not a riddle. ;-) ) I saw these guys four times back in the day, and they always kicked some serious ass. Sigh...I really miss those days, and all that truly great music.
I wish Martin Birch (who produced Cult-Erectectus only) would have been asked to do more of their albums. C-Erectus is one of the coolest albums I've ever had. And BOC was one of the top 3-4 bands I ever saw live in the late 70s/80s. They put on a mthrfckng CONCERT. It was always an event to go see BOC. But Queen in 79 was the greatest concert I have ever seen. I also saw Randy Rhoads w/ Oz and Tommy Aldridge in 81. R Sarzo was playing bass (ironic) but I'd have prefered Bob Daisly.
BOC one of the best bands of the 1970s - and this is one of their best songs. Not that anybody cares - but didn't they borrow the "Who will rock with you" melody from the Beatles "Fixing a Hole" ? (🙂
Who every directed this video did a shitty job. He was off the whole show, close-up, close-up.How about some wide shots to get the whole band, when Eric is asking the crowd. Are you ready to rock, the flood lights come on and light up the crowd. You miss that. I know the show because I,ve seen that tour 5 times that year. Many years after that too. It,s nice to see it on video. But the Director tried to do to many effects. I seen BOC for 45 years now but so I know what to expect. Imaginos262.
One of the best live acts ever!!!!

Birch also did Fire Of Unknown Origin in 1981 as well, another fine BOC album.
