Why stay in Resistance?

  • Just an open letter/journal entry kind of one today. I've been noticing a lot of these patterns of holding on or "resistance" in myself recently and just how... It inevitably leads to suffering. I think that a lot of the time its the fear that we're/things are never going to be good enough - and so we don't feel as though we're able to flow downstream and accept things they way they are now that drives the resistance pattern. What do you think?

can i just say i kind of love how much eye contact you make. But yeah this video is so real. It's hard to let control go, honestly, one of the easiest ways for me to feel at peace is to go outside. A sunny day with a friend can make the world melt away.

I think maybe the reason we constantly strive for more/better instead of being satisfied with our present reality is because we know our existence on earth is finite and sometimes cut short so we want to get as much living and experience in as possible before our time is up. And that keeps us always looking for something else/the next thing.

7:26-7:29 - "I'm making this video for myself as much as I'm make it for you." This statement is quite profound as it humanizes you, bringing you closer to those you wish to help, even if it just one person who benefits from your video, though I think the number is quite higher. Life is truly short, though this profound realization usually, unfortunately, comes later in life. There is a reason why so many Nordic countries are at the top of the "Happiest Countries in the World" list," and that is acceptance: being happy with what one has at the moment rather than striving, successfully or unsuccessfully, to obtain everything one desires. There is nothing wrong with having goals, just in the philosophy one has in obtaining them.

Wow... My middle name is refusing to let go of shit and get on with my life. I've just been through a very big change in my life. I've separated from my husband and I'm living alone for the first time in my life at 50 years old. If I look at it objectively I should feel great. But there's so many things I I can't seem to accept. And I know for sure if I just stopped dwelling on them my life would be better than it has been for a very long time. Maybe I'm worried if I accept what happened as a fact and move on that I'm also accepting what happened as acceptable behavior. Therefore condoning it. I wouldn't be accepting acceptable behavior though I would just be accepting the facts and knowing that I cannot change the facts so I can move on with life and enjoy it. I think I'm the same with resentments - I think that if I move on from a resentment that I'm accepting the unacceptable behavior but again I'm just accepting the facts that I cannot change it and that holding on to it is killing me 😳 JUST MOVE ON WITH LIFE TANYA 🤣🤣🤣 (I have a terrible feeling I will not follow my own advice.)

It is all about Structuralism & it affects everyone. Structural violence, starting with all the advertising we see everyday & the socioeconomic board game ppl are bound by. Quite wicked if you go deep into it.
