- For the best video experience, we recommend wearing a good set of headphones for the POV Test Drive at 4:10. The audio in this video was recorded with binaural microphones that, when played back through headphones, give the feel of 3D sound. Trick stuff.

I could own this car for a hundred years and never get sick of that motor sound. SO healthy sounding. Honda is the master of the V6.
+Calbenmike Yeah, I have this car and i'm addicted to the sound of the engine. I kept the stock intake because I think it's perfect.
Its a g35 engine

Nissan is king
So, I have this car, (Ex-L v6 manual coupe) and I have to say it is an absolute blast to drive. I used to drive a C32 AMG, and while numerically it's slower, it feels so much faster. The suspension is a dream, and throttle response is pin point. The steering is responsive down to millimeters, and the seats really hold you in well on the twisties. However, you can get a fair amount of torque steer due to the fact that it is front wheel drive. On a positive note, it will get to 60 in about 5.2-5.5 seconds in second gear. The clutch is a tricky one, and I feel as if you really have to thread the needle to get a perfect shift. From inside the cabin the V-6 is a bit loud, but it does have a nice throaty sound; I really like it. If I had to rate in on a scale out of 10, I would give it an 8. Why? The processor for the main computer is a bit sluggish. The shift knob in your hand feels like a pencil it's so small. Lack of power seats for the passenger. The heated seats are not the best. And finally, front wheel drive.
tl;dr:
Good car, would recommend.
is it an easy car to learn stick on?
Joe Rogan I would say so. It has a lot of beginner aids on it. While stopped at a hill the brakes will lock until you put your foot on the gas. Ultimately, it's super easy car to learn stick on.
Andrew Bourgeois thanks for the reply! did you get used to the clutch after a while? or does it just naturally not shift that smooth
Joe Rogan After a while the shifts will come very naturally. As you're starting out in the car it can be a bit jerky.
Totally agree. I had a 400 hp 1998 Z28 LS1 6 speed with full bolt on's. 0-60 in well under 5 seconds. The 2013+ 6-6 is a hell of a hot rod for a FWD V6. Clutch is a little tricky, need to ease it out quite a bit before it starts to do anything. But once you have it figured out it's golden. Handling is excellent for a FWD. Especially once you ditch the factory tires. Agree that the main computer is slow and glitchy. And no power passenger seat - lame! But it is one sweet sounding V6 that runs on 87 octane and gets great economy even bagging on it I see 25 mpg. Eco mode is always off too ;) It gives you 85% of the pony car experience and can be driven daily and in the winter.
What a sound from this V6 VTEC, a realy beautiful sound. And this is for the entire car, this car is a incredible machine. Shame we doesn't have this Accord Coupe here in Brasil.
Its a g35 engine nkt a VTEC
@@patriquemansour6461 it's a 3.5 v6 and it is still a vtec. The power after 5k rpm is real deal.
Looks like a slepper and an absolute pleasure to drive, but on a different note, why does that truck at 12:48 have so many wheels?
BEST test drive i've ever seen. It's full of literally everything we want to see. Great job!
Been buying Honda's for years...always wanted a V6 Six Speed!! I can feel it just watching the video. Love my Hondas!!
I'm buying this car pretty much because of this video.
That truck at 12:48 has so many wheels because it carries structural steel, steel plates, and other heavy steel products so it is extremely heavy. Normally a heavy truck like that won't need quite as many tires, but that truck is designed to go over secondary roads that have very low weight allowances per axle, something that prohibits the other trucks with fewer wheels from traveling over. Have you ever traveled over a road that seemed as if it was CHEWED up, with cracks all over the places where the tires normally go over? Well, that is because a lot of heavy truck with FEW wheels traveled there, if only trucks with a huge number of wheels traveled that route then there would be NO such damage since the weight would have been lower per tire and therefore no damage to the road.
So the thinner the asphalt road surface, the more wheels are needed on the truck to spread the load out over the thinner road surface.
Just bought it and I am pleasantly surprised, no, make that blown away! :)
I just love Honda Accord two-door coupe from 2013 to 20 19 I love the style and look of the car I would own 100 of them what a beautiful car Honda forever
Just picked up a ‘13 v6MT in San Marino red with 58k on it. I am beyond stoked to own one of these beauties! My prior was an ‘04 v6MT, which was a killer ride as well. I really dig these cars! My friends are like, “dude, it’s just an Accord.” They clearly don’t get it!
winding road is the mime of reviews
That turn at 10:27. Nice turning radius!
He spun it with the E-brake...
Awesome video. I didn't know just how good the V6 sounds. Just got my wife a 13 Accord EX, so CVT with the 2.4L 4. I like it enough to give thought to an EXL V6 6 speed. Make mine Modern Steel Metallic.
Yeah, I know what you mean. I used to live in Albuquerque NM and I had a Eclipse, all wheel drive turbo and that thing was incredible in the snow. One day when it was especially bad, everyone else, front and rear drivers alike were spinning out and off the road in the ditch all over the road, I just smiled and waved as I drove by in my Eclipse. It made that much difference.
11:25 best part
there is something about the sound of a honda engine starting. i've been hooked ever since my dad's 85 prelude SI and my mom's 90 civic LX.
Cool car, but Honda needs to equip this car with SH-AWD.
or make it rear wheel drive. But SH-AWD would be awesome. Also, the new Acura AWS would be cool as well.
+hmmm it will never be RWD.
keithrig Yea, No it's better with FWD
At the price point it won't happen. Honda makes fwd reasonably fun to drive. Torque steer is not an issue really unless you floor it into a corner like a moron
This mime review was incredible! Never seen anything like it. 🍻
i bought that car because of this video, and i love every second of it :)
There's just something about those Honda engines . . . love 'em! Thanks for the ride!
Winding Road meets Marcel Marceau. Without saying a word, WindingRoad told me how slick the shifter is, how much fun it is to accelerate, how much fun it is to rev match downshifts, and how great the engine sounds.
Great video. Awesome rev matching. The driving as a whole was superb.
This Accord sounds SO good! Well done Honda for also putting the old starter back in- now it sounds like a Honda V6 again.
Finally someone who knows how to handle this car on you tube..... :-)
FINALLY! A NICE LOOOOOOONG VIDEO!!!!
Not feelin' the wheels, but other than that it's probably the best new Accord in 2 generations. Love that Honda is still doing a Coupe.
These cars are great I really enjoy driving mine although it's an automatic :( still a blast to drive. Very comfortable ride. Sport coup definitely the way to go for those who it fits.
I love watching these when it's a car not offered to most of the world, like this Accord.
Thanks! We filmed the camera monitor when signaling right at 3:49 and throughout the POV drive when signaling right (but it was hard to see).
I was expecting a limp wristed, FWD "touring" coupe. Wow! Very tight and responsive and that V6 sounds great. Modern day BMW 635csi? Pretty damn close. Excellent driving too. Keep up the good work.
14min, this is one lone POV video!
really impressed with the new accord...never thought I would ever say that
Traded in my '06 v6 for the '13 v6, and it's so much more improved! I love the 9th accord coupe
I love the sound of a happy engine.
Best videos on RUclips
Just subscribed to your channel and not regretting it at all. great work buddy.
This is the best looking Accord coupe ever.
great... sorry i couldnt see it... but in person its awesome! that made my decision to purchase a 2014 coming in late august sept... good luck in your vids.. they are Awesome!!!
Honda is the best! What an amazing piece of machinery
sounds like he's having lots of fun in this car
Yeah, I haven't timed mine yet but I can see how they are getting mid 5's on this car. I've been surprised a few times on this cars sound and power. It's amazing!
@dtaylor get it you won't be disappointed. This car delivers in many areas especially performance. I have the V6 coupe in TEP color. Easy color for keeping clean also.
I got this car and the front end is nice. The honeycomb grills and the LED DRL look awesome. Looks like an Audi coming down the road during the day. You have to go V6 with this baby to appreciate it.
The stuff from 10:50-11:00 is the unspoken benefits of a 6 cylinder (or any higher displacement setup really) and the torque it provides. Just low-mid RPM cruising and you can still put on tons of speed.
I had the 2008 4L coupe, now I have the 2013 V6 coupe w/Navi AWESOME CAR!!!!!!
i dont understand why sometimes i see two knobs on the radio and sometimes i see one
Navi
this thing will get up and go
Great video! Don't listen to some of the haters. Thanks for posting. This helps my decision to trade in my 2010 Camry SE V6 for a Manual Accord V6. Looks and Sounds like like a fun and comfortable car to drive!!
Yeah, this car moves nice. I got the v6 coupe and it's fun to drive.
Great video as usual, hey did Honda change the Gearing for the 2014 V6 accord coupe with a manual?
Best car in the class hands down
This car sounds surprisingly good
How did you get it to look so clean on such a winters day??
One thing for sure: The Accord definitely needs some more sound insulation, it's loud in there. Pass any vehicle and its as if the windows of the car are partially open, it's that loud. That's the only downside I see about that car.
The sound of the V6 growl is probably one of the nicest features that makes it more sporty, especially if you get the coupe. If you buy the sedan I can see maybe not wanting it as loud. The coupe =sporty and always will.
Thinking of trading my Challenger R/T in for this. I like it that much.
great sounding v6
The VCM has been improved in the 13 model. It used to be an issue but when you drive it that's how you can tell how responsive the A/T is. If you have driven the A/T and determined this then fine. If you haven't driven it then you would not know.
Great video and car,I wish whe had this car in Europe.
i prefer the shape of the 8th gen but i don't mind this shape either. They are just amazing cars and i want the pleasure of owning one.
I absolutely love this car. I will own one after my 2009!
Here is why the Honda Accord V6 is one of the BEST PERFORMANCE CARS to buy if you live in the snow: FRONT WHEEL DRIVE. It will save your as$. Lets say the corner has snow on it and you take the corner a little bit too fast in a Mustang. As your front tires begin to slide you ease up on the gas. Big mistake! Now your rear end breaks lose and the rear the car spins around and BOOM; you are in the weeds. Happens a million times a day.
Now take the Accord and do the same thing. Go a bit too fast and the front wheels start to slip. Ease up on the gas and the wheels slip even more and your front end plows right off the road and onto the gravel as you slowly scrub off speed. Yes that is scary but the car did not spin out, and now when it has slowed down a bit you ease it off the gravel and back onto the pavement. That is how a front drive is different than a rear drive; IT WON'T SPIN THE CAR out on you when you take your foot off the gas in a snow-covered or rain-covered slippery corner. You will slide/plow a bit in a front-drive car but you won't spin-out right off the road.
Now an all-wheel drive car like the Subaru is the absolute best in terms of no-sliding on corners when you Ease up on the gas, but if you live in a drive climate like the South you don't really need the weight or added cost of all-wheel drive, front wheel drive is almost as good.
I have seen a few videos of Imprezas and EVOs spinning out in the rain, that is because their drive-trains are all-wheel-drive but they are set up with a rear-wheel bias To see what I mean, watch this video of this guy spinning out in his all-wheel-drive EVO: Mitsubishi Evo Spin-out Accident
You're bang on
great review, great quality. 5star
I was surprised to see a lack of winding roads..
nice test drive, but you forgot to show us the Lane Watch and Camera Monitor every time you signaled to the right... other than that, good job!!!
Great car love that Honda V6 exhaust
no you don't have to give gas after downshifting to slow down if you're going to stop, and it wont mash your gears, unless you're driving a 1989 Plymouth lazer, the noise you hear in the video of engine revving on downshifts is an automatic throttle blip, which automatically revs the engine on downshifts, its a new thing in sports cars but its not really needed.
This may be the best car in the world as far as cars you can drive everyday. Dependable, durable, great handling, great shifting, great seats, fast, well made (It does everything well) and great gas mileage to boot. (I'd tell you the best mileage I got in mine, but you wouldn't believe me!) What's not to like?
sweet will b looking into one this spring v6 6 speed .
This is how you do a review.
That would slow it down. This car is so well set up that it feels like a rear driver in the twisties...unbelievable!
Yeah, the V6 has a nice growl when you get on it. This car is quick off the line and can spin up quite easily which is not good for the tires, especially in hot weather. At speed 5th or 6th gear there is nothing in particular that grabs you. Most any car can keep up with the V6 at speed. It's off the line where is excels. That is usually what's more fun.
So I gotta ask. Did you end up hitting the animal that ran out at the end and that's why the tape stopped? :P jk.. I think.
I'm getting a 2014 Ex-l V6 6MT w/o navi in red made for me right now. I'm so excited and watching this video (for the second time) has me even more pumped! Thanks for the great work.
It sounds great under heel and toe!
Nah, the car rides quite smooth. I have the automatic and you can still hear the exhaust note when you hit the gas. In normatl driving you hear a hum of the engine and it makes you smile. Overall the highway feel is similar to my Acura TSX that I had before this car. The dealer really should not leave the flags on with a test drive.
This video makes me want to get a Manual instead of Automatic!! The sound is intoxicating!!
omg that growl!! sounds like a race car!!
Good looking but it is an Accord (boring). I have to admit after watching this video, I am impressed. This may be the non boring model Accord with the coupe body and V6 engine.
accord ex v6 coupe.... boring? uh. mines not very boring. maybe not next to a corvette but sure beats most
Boring..hmmm I'd say if you bought a 2005 Honda Accord LX Sedan..ah yeah vanilla just get me around town boring. Not this V6 Coupe 9th gen. May be one of the best cars I've had and I've had two TSX's before this.
Did you read my post? I said this may be the non boring Accord.
though this one does have that funky transmission system that from what ive heard doesnt feel natural. that alone might make it an ugly driver but i wouldnt know. as for older models before CVT was brought in the v6 coups are not boring
6:58 phenomenal engine note
The V6 hauls!
Could you make a 2013 Acura ZDX video, please? Thanks! Love your videos! Best ones for POV mix driving!!
I wish I could see the tach. and the speedo, then I could better gauge the performance. I had an 03 6sp. coupe, amazing car! I kick myself daily for getting rid of it.
It's not automatic like in the 370z or a flappy-paddle-whatever. He's just popping the accelerator as he shifts from, say, 3 -> 2, to match the revs so that the clutch isn't abused. I test drove one yesterday.
Sounds great
good review !!
What kind of binaural mics are you using and where did you get them? Thanks.
ruclips.net/video/vAb0FTYpn-k/видео.html
How's the suspension setup? Is there a lot of body roll? Is it the same as the sedan models?
Wow that is fast
I luv it! I want one... N will get it!!!
For heaven's sake, do your test driving in California where we have good roads and no snow! It is written "The west is the best!!!" Is true!
This comment didn't age well 🤣
5:03, 6:57 and 11:25 ;)
This new Accord is some quick shit. VTEC V6 doing its thing. Forever Honda and Acura
Love it I must have one
How quick the brakes overheat after 2 or 3 heavy brakings from 80mph to zero, are you suppose to get pulsating after that ? Mine is doing after new rotors and pads all 4 wheels not sure what to do next. It does it only at highway speeds. Any help will be very appreciated
Might be a sticky caliper glide pin. Did you mange to find out the root cause ?
what is the 0-60 time for this car? the car seems sooo quick and it sounds great!!!!!
he's doing it. that feature is only found on 370Z as far as I know.
I agree. I survived on FWD, but if I had to go back up north, I'd only do it with AWD.
Depends on the speed rating on the tires installed from the manufacture; typically around 120 mph
I can't believe I prefer the sedan styling over the coupe.
Quick question. I recently test drove this car and it was a little noisy due to the dealer putting flags in the windows and the ride was a little choppy, but I couldn't be sure if the ride was choppy because the dealer put on aftermarket rims. Is the car noisy and is the ride ok with regular OEM wheels?
I'm sure it does handle well. However, I want all wheel drive for snow performance. Front wheel drive is ok in snow. But, after driving an AWD, I will never go back.
