Anchor-being ideas are rather dumb I think lol. If it was up to me, they should just say something like "oh look at that, neither the TVA nor anyone else really knows what are the multiverse rules and they are actually just guessing". This is because the MCU multiverse has many different rules now, some that contradict each other, and with each new writer adding their own at some point none will make sense. But if they REALLY want to keep the anchor-being concept then I think the rules should be: Most universes don't have an anchor being. Very specific (and unknown) conditions have to happen for an anchor being to be born. This "anchoring" can be passed to another being. And then they can never mention this concept ever again lol, as it creates way more questions than answers. But I agree with all of your points. And I think your Malkovich-Doom theory is probably on point, as they keep insisting that RDJ will not be playing a Tony Stark variant.
Yeah the rules are all becoming a bit complex with all of the Multiverse stories! I have a feeling Anchor Beings will be a part of something bigger, but if they decide to go a different direction I wouldn’t mind either. There are a bunch of rules for Nexus Beings in the comics that they disregard pretty regularly, so I hope they don’t follow suit in the MCU. Always a fan of creating rules and sticking to them 👍
