There is nothing accidental about #Dimash, he knows what he is doing and what he wants to achieve with his voice in a given song.
#Dimash absorbs what is useful to him, rejects what is not, adds what is unique to him.
    What is only His!
And this is the key to His uniqueness, to His splendour.

I am an experienced musical knowkledgeble artist,i would like to point out Dimash has a magic way to acjeve what e wants, yes he wants and it is intentional,he does go beyoond most or any singer can do,i follow him now 7 yrs,i have heard it all from every sphere of the art of music, and do not try to quallify ,for Dimash is bringing new tecniques, styles to the wotls of music artistry,if you go on what y learnedon what we have today we will never understand.Once again he is a master on microphone tecniques,he is beyong what most know he his a master of the instrument of the voive incluiding his, very few vocal coaches can qualify, quantify ,what he real want and achieves, because if they could they could be singing and became famous, everything is exactly what y hear,You have great singers ,but they are all very convencional, even the one that get grammys, which this year sucked ,it was a disaster,,i knoe many top, doctor on music, grammys winnersw and they all agree that Diamsh is unique,on everything he does,he knows what he wants to do most do not know,He is about to finish his doctorate in music,he has many degrees on music, the beauty is that he does whathe wants NOT WHAT YOU WANT,NEVER DEMAND FROM HIM HIS ,OMIR song thanking his fan ,he describes all that,do not ever demand from any singer if y cannot do it yourself,i do not care if y are a coach or not i am 70 yrs old, played all my life, and many nort known musicians and singers are under rarted artist and are better than many that get grammys,it is like a miss

Dimash is the Leonardo de Vinci of music. He's continually experimenting with sound and vocal techniques, he makes a very beautiful monologue at the end of the Almaty concert as to how he sees his place within music.
If you want to see a very recent exceptionally good demonstration of his lower register (which has actually become much lower too) then take a look at Omir. It's very different to anything he's done before.

The silence and the breathing near the end is very intentional. Right after the emotional climax, the silence and breathing spikes the feelings for me and I gasp and catch my breath. And the airiness in the first part is also intended to seem like he is emotionally and intimately whispering in your ear. Delicious. BTW, the song is titled Please Don't Go, composed in Japanese referring to the true story of a very popular singer and actress in China who was shunned and exiled when it was discovered during the war that she was of Japanese descent and was accused of being a spy. The singer in the song is telling her to please not leave. He is lamenting that she will be alone and that breaks his heart. He performed a version of this song in Mandarin on the show The Singer, the show where he performed S.O.S. and catapulted him internationally. When he did this song on The Singer (the Mandarin version is called Autumn Strong), many in the audience knew the song and he had many in tears.

No. Lol!😂 You're not hearing things but his technique is to have his breath heard regardless of microphone I'm afraid and hope you're able to see him LIVE some day. I hope to. He's the master of all vocalized sound & is changing music forever through his virtuosity. He is masterful at microphone use, breath and volume control and if there's any engineering at play, it's happening in session IRT.

This Ikanaide song is the Chinese Autumn Strong song from the I Am Singer comp in 2017, but sung in Japanese, and apparently is very difficult to get the phonetics correct. But a number of Japanese reactionists have said he got it right. It was performed in studio for the maybe 2022 year Tokyo Jazz Festival as in the previous covid restricted years, I believe. Samaltau was the previous year’s entry.
We Dears, love his frequent breathy sounds, and wait with baited breath for the next ones.
Dimash sings both within and without the box, and has had to make his own musical culture out of the great mix he has embraced.
He has been publicly humiliated on stage by judges as a younger contestant for pursuing his own ideals, but has emerged victorious and very much embraced by his huge international following from 140+ countries, and this should prove his sensible actions and worth as he non-intentionally changes what is acceptable to the public ear.
Kazakhstan government has awarded him to be a National Treasure. He has many ethnic songs and cultural dancing in his concerts, and loves his country, his people, and his fans all around the world.
In his concerts in foreign countries, he generally tries to sing at least one song in their language, to their delight.

Dimash is an absolute master at skidding right on the edge between just barely a sound and breath. It's unbelievable how much control he has for his voice not to fail as it is so hard to sing that subtle without falling "out" from the tone, so to speak.

La musica de Ikanaide fue compuesta e interpretada por Koji Tamaki y Goro Matsui compuso la letra. Es una canción de amor y dolor. Ikanaide significa "No te vayas", "Por favor no te vayas". Goro Matsui dijo que había escuchado a muchos extranjeros cantar Ikanaide en su idioma nativo pero que era la primera vez que escuchaba a un extranjero cantarlo tan bien en japonés. Dimash siempre nos sorprende y nos emociona.

This performance was verified to be streamed live in the Tokyo Jazz Festival during the pandemic when in-person concerts weren't possible. Post-production modification of sound would not be possible in this situation.
I read somewhere that Lara Fabian also uses the technique of using noteless breath sounds. Dimash has been a huge fan of hers since he was young, and both of them worked closely with composer Igor Krutoy. They performed together along with Aida Garafullina in Ti Amo Cosi:

This version "Ikanaide" (行かないで) ) is the original, from 1989, composed by Koji Tamaki (famous Japanese singer, born in 1958) with lyrics by Goro Matsui. The version "Autumn Strong" (Late Autumn), sung in Chinese, uses the same song, but has another lyrics (Yaqui Cheung, from 1993) and another theme: It talks about the Japanese actress Yoshiko Yamagushi, very dear to the Chinese, who was deported when they discovered her Japanese origin (his real name was Li Xiang Lan and we're talking about World War II, where Japan was China's enemy) and never returned to China. In the original version, the lyrics are more intimate, sentimental and more recognized worldwide. It means: "Please don't go!".

complementa seu canto, já que tudo que deve ser feito já está construído dentro da sua mente!
Some things that make Dimash a different singer are his absolute pitch and the ability to perceive and reproduce microtonalities (which currently reach 32 semitones and which is not a common scale in the West, which uses the well-tempered scale of 7 tones and 5 semitones). He is also a phenomenal composer and arranger, a fact that complements his singing, as everything that needs to be done is already built into his mind!

The version from the Tokyo Jazz Page doesn't have eng subs as it's a Japanese page. And Dimash is singing in nearly perfect Japanese. I am Japanese and can confirm his accent here is probably better than mine. Everything he does is pretty intentional.

Dimash is a tenor, so you're not going to hear a lot of lows unless the song goes into that area. But if you listen to more of his work you would know that he sings a lot of songs that dip pretty low. He has so many songs that you can't possibly react to them all, so why don't you just listen to some in your own time? El amor en ti would be a good choice for classical lows.

Please know there are multiple versions of Dimash songs, usually there is a version that offers subtitles and lyrics. They should help you in the interpretation of the song and the overall impression of the song.....be blessed.

There was no postproduction, perhaps a little bit on the fly, because the content was streamed live to the Japanese Jazz festival. That's the main condition to be able to participate: All live

"That's not acting either" talks beautifully about those squeaky sounds at the end of the phrases

This isn’t you…I really don’t watch, more than once, reactors who keep saying,”it’s coming”. Waiting for Dimash to break out. He doesn’t need to increase volume and break out. Just looking for this is very insincere. They don’t appreciate what an amazing singer Dimash is. If the song calls for it, it will be there.

Agreed 💯. He is unpredictable, spontaneous and only does what the song requires. If people only appreciate him for the vocal acrobatics then they're missing out on a lot as he had such a beautiful mid range.

I feel he includes his breath for emotion and to stop accusations of lip syncing
