Excellent video. You helped me find the build design for my niece and nephews wife's babies to be. well done design and build. Keep up the great inspiration Thank you
I will be a grandfather in 2 months and I'm planning to build a cradle for him/her. Thank you for the most informative and realistic video for constructing this cradle. I have couple of notes: - you've made sure that legs are well supported, but you hang the main part (bed) by only glue and 3 dowels from each side, - you left the front and rear boards without spindles and this will cause injures to baby in once he starts to hold him self, - Cooking oil is not a good idea for finishing. Other than that, I like your video and I feel I can make it myself while using regular tools and wood, not fancy ones as in other videos. Thanks again
Excellent job on the cradle, recently learned i'm going to be a pappy and have been tasked with building the cradle. I learned a lot from this video, thank you for sharing
Great job! First grand child due in August, whole pile of recycled oak in the shed, I’m gonna go for it. Like your style mate, no plans, just straight out of your head, best build I’ve seen on RUclips.
My friend that was an excellent video and wood craftsmanship of the cradle. You are very meticulous and it shows in the end product and you thoroughly explain everything. I truly enjoyed watching this and yes this is the first of your videos that I have watched but I will be watching many more in the futureThank you Randy
Very nice video , I appreciate the fact that you made the cradle w/o a lot of power tools, making its more difficult. I’m going to make the same basic design, w some small changes, the rose is very nice and the music is good but too loud-Great job
Great job. I love the look and craftsmanship. Is there any concern with the 4 dowels being the only thing holding all the weight of the cradle to the inside set of side arms? Maybe I just didn't see another anchor point.
By chance can you make a more detailed video on the joints and spacers between the bassinet and stand? I have an antique one very similar but that area needs to be repaired updated
Probably a bit late but you need more bars, there's some areas way to gapped like at the front and back, if a soda can can fit through the bars of a cradle or crib that means it's unsafe and a infants head could become intraped, however you made this so well and the flower is so beautiful
Orange Carpenter yeah has a smell to it. I put it down on my oak floor and if you scratch the floor u can sand it and re apply the osmo .and you can't even tell it's been done . It's a little on the expensive side . But I think it's well worth it
I'm very sorry to keep everyone waiting. My life these days is so busy with kids that I barely have any time to do anything. Hopefully this will change in the future.
Awww, I know I know. I've been very busy with family life and my day job. I haven't had any time to start new projects, not to mention videos. I hope one day I can get back to my crafts. :-) Cheers!
I know you said it is for a new born but there are holes on the ends bid enough for a head to get through so don't use this when the child is able to move around.

This is definitely the ideal woodworking book I`ve ever read, “Bαzοmο Tdy Plαn” (Google it). The text is simple to read and also the photos and drawings superb. This is a “must have” woodworking book simply because everything you need to know about wood working is found here and it truly walks you throughout the topic well. .

The design and creation of the cradle was nice. The video of how you did it was awesome! Very, very good video. Thank you.

All baby gonna love to sleep in this cradle...nice work ...
Thanks mate!
You’ve done a very nice job building the baby cradle. I picked up on some ideas for a bassinet I’m working on.
Great! I'm glad this video was helpful for you. :-)

Great job 👍
great job, great carving

Thanks for your advice. I did realize that after the build but we solved it by using crib liner that goes inside and covers all the gaps.
this is very nice but i wonder if i can make this for my baby, lol
Excelent work
coolest cradle on youtube
Good job . I would use osmo oil it's great for oak and child friendly
Until this day I didn't use anything yet. I've heard about osmo, but isn't that quite smelly stuff?

Hmm...I should probably go and test it somewhere first. :-) Thanks for the tip anyways!
why dont you even update today? just so many people are waiting for you and your update!!!
I'm very sorry to keep everyone waiting. My life these days is so busy with kids that I barely have any time to do anything. Hopefully this will change in the future.
Nice job... what are the measurements of the flat bed?
Oh sorry for such a late reply. The measurements are 34" x 19½" (87x50cm).
ciao bellissimo lavoro ma è possibile avere le misure dettagliate grazie
Where are you? We need more videos

Enjoy woodprix woodworking Instructions.
Really cool to me
Good work, no need for the annoying music

I can’t believe you made a whole video with the very bad lighting. The idea of making an instructional video is to show what and how.
Mineral oil
This is like watching a train wreck. You really need to study some table saw safety. I applaud your effort, though!
:-) Thanks. Note taken.
