Magnificent. Educational experience for me. People are not the same wherever you go. I like Tom/Thomas(?). I am not sure I can spell his name right. I love his personality. He is down to earth humble, without persona mask, with a lot of kindness and humility. He is genuine and authentic. I enjoy listening to Tom. He speaks like a talking book. Figurative and metaphoric. I suspect he is very educated. I can learn from Tom.
Lovely scenery again. Loved the sign 'let the dog see the rabbit' as it reminded me of my late father, one of his many sayings. You wouldn't get me down the mine for all the tea in China. Either Tom and his mates are very brave or very daft, or both.
I think daft, haha. I have to say it was a lot crazier than i had thought it would be when i booked on. Glad you enjoyed the vlog, if you make it to St Just, the dog and rabbit is a lovely little cafe, highly recommended!
Absolutely amazing vlog, so so interesting, and Paddy is one hell of a brilliant surfer, wow 👌. Fantastic to make your silver rings, and then all about tin mines, that underground mapping was amazing and then to explore an deep mine. You must of had a awesome time. Brilliant as always guys, take care and keep enjoying everything ❤
Well jealous of your life guys.living life to the fun and young well. Lifes not just about beer and drugs to feel good. Life's the biggest high in life 🙌🙌🙌
Thanks Tom and Isobel. Really enjoyed the west Cornwall vlog, close to the area where my son was at school. Looking forward to the next episode. Go easy step light and stay free. 💙👏
You really need to get some sponsorship from a drone company, then you could afford to lose a few more in the name of photography 😂 Gladstone and Biggles great names for a dog and a cat. Another great episode.
Lovely , home. I really enjoyed that guys . Not been down that mine . Treen camp site is really nice and glad you didn't show the beach, keep it a surprise. Love the whole area it's stunning .
I hadn't realised you could go down the mines like that. It is defiantly something i would recommend, it gives you such a good idea of what it must have been like, better than any book (or video, haha). Penwith is a truly special place!
@@LostInTransit I can't remember what the one I went down was called but yours looked amazing and you went to all my fave places but if anyone reading this there are many more. I went to the top of Carn galver last year with stunning views all around . Need to find someone for a photo shoot if they don't mind heights lol x
Not being a Cornish man you are taking me to places I have never seen or have any knowledge of but I get the stuff about the post medieval mines and burrowing out into the sea. Enjoyed your vid and it’s great to see that you are continuing to enjoy yourselves with family and friends.
Hi Tom and Iz hope you are well, this was both entertaining and informative 😊😊. I love the fact that, there is still skilled people using their hands basically to create and craft things, re the rings, in this other wise computerised world! Amazing talent, and you both done well yourselves at it 👏👏, they looked amazing! And hats off to you Tom, took spine to go down them mines lol, not sure I could have done it!. It's a gentle reminder of what these men endured years ago, to keep a community going. Respect! Well have a great week, aw by the way, the music, the editing, the different shots, just the whole way you are setting out the vlogs are absolutely A*
Hello Tom & Isabel, I have watched all your home vlogs showcasing Cornwall in all it's glory. I've never been there but it looks a very special place. I found the mining piece very interesting. I look forward to your final vlog on Cornwall next week.
Splann! The music pairing in this one is just so spot on. Bal maiden chant, Granite is the hardest stone and then Decent when you're going down the mine 👌 made me think you need to ask Richard for the down the clay country tune when you do the clays one. Love you. And outro Gabbs xx
Thank you again for another superb video, really upbeat and full of enthusiasm. Everything about it was really enjoyable, the music, the information the filming, all great stuff. Stay safe you two and looking forward to next weeks already.
Hi Tom & Is., great to see another adventure. The rings are lovely & good you got to see the process of making them! Watching Tom going down the mine brought back memories for me from many years ago, I went down into Marble Arch caves before they were made into a tourist attraction. I used to know guys who went caving & they talked me into heading down the caves, narrow spaces barely body width & crawling on your hands & knees, it wasn't really for me but sure I did it. It is good to say you did these things even if you only do them once lol. I liked the wee dog doing the dog paddle he was lovely. I have a wee dog Sam he is 12, but he would be afraid of even paddling, I tried him a few times over the years. Looking forward to next week's episode...Love Rosemary..🙂
Gladstone (the dog) has had lots of practice in the sea. My sister would coax him in as a puppy to try and get him used to it early. The mine was certainly an experience! i have always wanted to see what they would be like in there as i have always grown up around them. very glad to get the chance to get inside one, but i'm also very glad i don't have to go deep inside one every day for work like they used to.
Loved the video, Tom you are the perfect guide with incredible passion & knowledge. Treen is lovely, we stayed in a car park there overnight, but will stay at that campsite next time 💜
Treen carpark is nice to (nearer the pub, haha) but the campsite is fantastic! As you guys know a 5 min walk away is some of the best beaches in the world. I would love to be your guide one day, i can blabber on about Cornwall till the cows come home, haha, thanks for watching guys.
A really good video with great scenery. The ring making was fascinating and the mining story was really interesting but you'd never find me underground like that!😱
Hi guys. Great vid again. The tin mine exploring looked really good and the time you had on the beach looked great fun. Looking forward to seeing your next adventure. Take care guys.
Top vid guys, love the mining expedition though the enclosed spaces might not be for everyone!!. The ring making was very informative and looked like fun to do.
Cheers Lenny! Glad you enjoyed it. The mines were pretty crazy, but they were less scary than I thought they would be. You are so focused on your task you forget you're above a huge hole in the ground
Hi guys, another great vlog. I was getting cluster phobic watching Tom. Years ago I had to share A&E one night with a guy, who had dislocated his knee deep cave diving. Just amazing what people choose as a hobby, But not for me.😬
Awesome stuff, so envious of all your adventures. Really making me want to get out there and see more of the world as I haven't been abroad in 10 years. Stuck here in Northern Ireland.
Plenty to see in NI as well, we loved our time there, shame it was so fleeting. I hope you get to go on some awesome adventure there certainly is a lot to see! Thanks for watching
Hi Guys, another Sunday masterpiece, Cornwall really is lovely, my daughter lives in wadebridge, such lush beaches. Roll on next Sunday stay safe guys 😎
You guys are so great, I love your output. Love the mines theme. I’m from Newcastle, the home of coal. You don’t hear the sea 3 miles out in a tunnel btw...more please
I found the quote, it sounds pretty crazy, haha "But, when storms are at their height, when the ocean hurls mountain after mountain of water on the cliffs, then the noise is terrific; the roaring heard down here in the mine is so inexpressibly fierce and awful, that the boldest men at work are afraid to continue their labour. All ascend to the surface, to breathe the upper air and stand on the firm earth: dreading, though no such catastrophe has ever happened yet, that the sea will break in on them if they remain in the caverns below." Rambles beyond railways or notes in Cornwall taken a-foot by W. Wilkie Collins, 1851
Great to see the stages of ring making and why that bumpy pattern is made , to reflect the landscape. So good to have something meaningful for your labours . Also living in Cornwall you just have to go down a tin mine once to understand a little of what they are like. It must have been so scary for the workers in bygone times without any health and safety rules and the utter blackness all about if your candle or lamp went out. Unimaginable hard and dangerous work really.
Pretty amazing how you have engineered the sound of the video. That sounds easy but is an awful lot of work and takes a lot of skill. Beautiful pictures of the beach where your friend demonstrated surfing in Cornwall. Btw. where was the lovely campground? eghes da! Andreas
The campsite is called Treen, well worth a visit. It's a short walk to some of the best beaches in the world! Glad you noticed some of the sound stuff. I don't really do much of it normally, just building more editing skills as I go along.
Loved that guys. That tin mine looked incredible. I'm an ex-miner myself Tom, although a coal miner, the last of a generation here in Sunderland. I used to work at Wearmouth Colliery which is where Sunderland's Stadium of Light now stands. We used to go up to 10 miles out under the North Sea, so far out in fact we used to have to travel via underground trains and even conveyor belts. I have some photos from my time underground so I'll post them on Instagram and give you a tag 👍
the videos are great and uplifting whats the song at 9.00? hope this year is better for both of you and you dont get bogged down with more soul destroying further lockdown nonsense this autumn

Very similar to traditional irish music...not as fast but definitely similar 😀

I think Cornwall will be quieter this year as regards tourism with diesel at £1.72 per litre and rising. People won't have much disposable income.
