Hey Tom, I am 58 years old here in Florida and took my Ausom gallop scooter on a 35 mile adventure.i am loving it.keep the content coming, you do the best reviews.😁👍😊✔️🇺🇸
Hey, I've been looking forward to this! When I saw the title, I thought maybe I missed the introduction video and had to go back and check. Should be a cool range test to come and I don't know if anyone else has tested it at commuter speeds. Everyone seems to test them at top speed. Kudos to the weight call out at 80lbs. Only you and ESG are weighing these on the regular. I'm always curious if these manufacturers are incompetent or just lying. After all, it's one of the easiest things to get right when you put the specifications together. Last time I checked there was still no weight listed for the dual motor but I'm guessing it's going to pick up at least 12 lbs. 92lbs would put it right there in the same territory as the RS5 Max. "Hila" instead of "Gila" hahah!!! I was wondering when... now you sound like a native AZ guy :D I could tell you where feeling really confident on the downhill with this one. Looked like you were really having fun actually! 19:20 Ginger on Wheels noted the exact same thing. Seems like an odd artifact to leave in the production unit... assuming they sent you a production scooter. I mean, it shouldn't be a real mystery for the engineers and it's the only scooter I've ever seen or heard of that does this. I would eventually consider the dual motor version but not if that glitch stays built in. 21:30 IIRC, it's just a 30Ah battery but at 60V so you go from 1560Wh to 1800Wh, a very nice battery pack for dual motor, essentially the same as the Klima Max.
Haha yah I was going to film an intro video first but with the holidays and everything coming up I realized I don’t have too many Sundays to head out there left this year. So I made a last minute change of plans haha. When I first experienced the momentary slowdown it caught me off guard. I’ve gotten used to it now but you’re right, it would be great if it wasn’t there. Haha yah several people in the past corrected my Gila with a hard G 🤣. Now I’ll never make the mistake again lol. I could have swore I saw 35amp battery on their site, but I just looked and it’s clearly 30amp. I’m not too sure where I saw 35, but I seemed to feel confident about it in the video haha.
How cool is it that you can ride up and down a mountain like that and only use 1/3 of your battery.. Haha!! It's so fun to be able to just ride for hours without constantly having to worry about what's left in the fuel tank.
Oh for sure. With most of my other scooters, I’d never dare to begin the ride with less than 100% charge haha. I had so much peace of mind with the Cruiser V2. Normally I’m starting to calculate how much walking I’ll have to do and whether or not I’ll be home before my wife goes to work lol.
That sure looks fun, Tom. I've never considered a scooter before. I rode big Harley's for 46 yrs, but it looks like fun. Great review. Thanks again for giving us your best. 👍
Thank you! Scooters are definitely interesting. I gave my dad (67) who also rides motorcycles one of my dual motor scooters. He rides it better than me haha! You get an additional sense of freedom that you don’t quite get on a bike, but they aren’t as forgiving as a bike. For example, you can ride a bike one handed but an e-scooter, not so much. And potholes become the thing of nightmares haha.
Hey! So it’s electronic brake and disc brake with the ability to go into the settings and make adjustments. What’s interesting with these brakes is that they are cable actuated and use hydraulics to push the caliper pistons.
Yah it’s in the E settings section. One thing I’m realizing with this scooter is that’s it’s got all kinds of settings (P-settings, A-settings, E-settings).
I had the first version of the Cruiser, and one thing I really disliked was that the throttle had quite a big ‘dead zone’ at the low end. All other scooters I’ve used let you slow down to pedestrian speed, but my Cruiser would ignore the first 20% of throttle travel, then would suddenly accelerate to the 21% mark. Is the new controller better behaved ?
The new controller is definitely better behaved. It gives you good granular control of your speed. I also like that it doesn’t have a super sensitive throttle like some scooters have. I can press the throttle in and get nice smooth, almost linear power control.
Do you know how low the bars go? I'm looking for scooters for me and my wife, she is 5'2".. unfortunately other scooters have handed bar heights either not listed or standard 40" or so. the scooter I'm looking at I think might be to tall, the vx4 gt. This might be a better option and something she could ride. Wish more scooters had adjustable handlebars or could order the size you need. Cheers
Hello! Just checked. So the bars can lower to 34.75” from the top surface of the deck. That’s what I love about this scooter is the range of heights it accommodates.
@@tomsgadgetgarage thank you for the quick responce.what are your thoughts on handlebar height If the bar goes up to your sternum. This would be quite a bit heavier scooter and price increase, and of course I would have to get a dual motor. But happy wife happy life;). Think this is the only scooter I have seen that have a bar height that is adjustable
So if the handlebars go up to the bottom of the sternum, it’ll be good. My wife is 5’4” and she’s managed to ride some of my other commuter scooters quite well. Now if it’s top of the sternum, that wouldn’t be very comfortable. This scooter is nice and heavy so it plows through lots of lumps and bumps in the road easily without feeling jumpy. Because of that, and the wide handlebars, it’s a super stable platform.
Haha nice! Yah I had a Mini 2 and then a second hand Air 2S for a while. They are a blast to fly. I remember the first drone I flew back in 2010 (tricopter) and compare it to what’s available today and it’s crazy how far the tech has come. Do you do any FPV flying?

Hey Tom. This is the best review on this Emove V2. On utube. You knock this one out of the park. 😎👍
Thanks! Can’t wait to take this thing on a range test. I’m not used to scooters with this much battery haha.
@tomsgadgetgarage I know right. Can't wait to see the range test. 👍

Please PLEASE review the Gotrax GX3 !!! I have yet to see a bad word said about it
Hello! It’s definitely on my radar. They actually reached out to me about one of their budget scooters but never got back to me.

Nice mate, not much info out there on this scooter. 👍
Tom.....is that hybrid brake system both disc and regen tied together ???

@@tomsgadgetgarageI've never seen that in the p settings I'll have to take another.

@tomsgadgetgarage I need a booklet just on these settings 😲
Yah, it’s a little much haha

Can the display be locked with code ?
Hell no!
Hello! I’m not seeing that option on this scooter.
is this Mount Chiliad?
Ha! Making me want to play games now 🤣
I fly dji drones, the dji action 5 is far superior to the go pro.👍😁🇺🇸

I have the mavic 3 pro and it is a beast in the air.😁@@tomsgadgetgarage
Oh man that’s a nice drone. That camera unit looks like it’s about to lock onto me and launch something haha!
